My Beloved Cowboy's

My Beloved Cowboy's
Chapter 40. It's over

Rani stands agitated, staring at King and Andre who are in the corner of the field talking to Leo, one of the foremen and horse tamers who will be the judges at the game that morning.

Next to him Gaby stood up while continuing to hold tightly to her hand, seemingly knowing if she let go of her grip that Rani would dart away and run to see King at close range.

“You must believe in King, he must be able to handle it. Every day King always does, although the black is known as a bad horse.” Gaby said smilingly calmed Rani down.

Rani nodded slowly, and smiled back. He strongly believed King had the ability to tame horses and could easily defeat his opponent.

But what makes him curious until now, why Andre who does not have any expertise in terms of taming horses actually bravely challenged King to do it. What crazy thing the man was planning, made Rani think hard.

King, who had his first turn, was getting ready and started wearing his gloves. The noise of the farm workers, screaming cheering King's name. While Andre, standing waiting for the turn accompanied by one of the workers.

“King!” Rani screamed impatiently, seeing King walking into the field and only glancing at him at a glance. He believed the man heard his voice.

Leo prepared on the side of the field, not far from the tethered dark horse. The horse's harness was removed, Leo stood watching with a roll of rope in hand.

King walked over, the black man was looking down and then heard a snort when he felt the presence of a stranger nearby. The horse seemed to be getting restless, waving its tail in any direction.

“Ssshhhh!” King spoke as he extended his hand slowly to hold the black ear to calm down. But the black one turned his body towards him and instead attacked his hand.

“Wooo!” King dodged and managed to avoid the black man's attack, even though he had to fall to the ground. Not stopping there, the black suddenly jumped bo kongnya and raised his front legs high trying to kick King who was still sitting on the ground.

“King!” Rani gasped and shouted loudly seeing King move back quickly. He jerked Gaby's hand, making the woman grimace while holding her hand.

“Sorry,” said Rani with a face filled with guilt. “I ..”

“I understand,” sahut Gaby understood. He no longer held Rani's hand and just stood quietly beside her, King's message to hold Rani to stay with him seemed not easy to do.

Leo moved closer, ready to throw the knot in his hand at King. King grabbed him with one hand, and the knot of the rope had already moved into his hand.

“King!” Anxiety over Rani's heart saw the black man almost harm King, he said, he ran across the edge of the field shouting while waving his hand until the black momentarily caught his guard and King quickly jumped up on the horse's back.

“Rani!” shouted Gaby, no less anxious to see him running around the field. “Hary, prevent Rani immediately!” he shouted at Hary who was by his side.

“Hei! Get down from there, Miss. You can fall and wretch!” hary said no less loudly, yelling to remind Rani who tried to climb the fence again.

But Rani did not press Hary's cry, her focus was on King, who was hugging the black neck and whispering softly in his ear. Slowly the horse began to look calm, and King continued to rub the black body.

Rani breathed a sigh of relief seeing King successfully tamed the black one. The horse was now running around the field with King, and the shouting sounds of the workers on the sidelines were rumbling again.

“Nona, please come down.” Leo was suddenly already nearby, Rani turned her head and rushed down when she saw King coming down from his horse and walking towards him.

“King, You did it.” Rani smiled widely, welcoming King's arrival. But just for a moment, the smile on his face disappeared as soon as King walked past him and did not turn his head even a little at him. The man immediately joined the workers and sat down on the thick grass below.

“King!” he shouted out loudly, this time clad in an annoyed tone that sounded clear. But King really did not care about him, and increasingly did not care as Andre came closer and casually hugged Rani's shoulder from behind.

“That's it, and I'll stand at the very front to shout if you fall off that horse and your unlucky hand is hit by his leg kick!” rani's reply is fierce.

Rani jolts firmly Andre's arm that is coiled around his neck, but his movements lose quickly. Andre just turned his body and now they stand facing each other in a very close distance. Andre lowered his face, both hands on Rani's shoulders.

“Aaargrk!” Andre wagged his right arm that was bitten by Rani, his teeth deep enough and bleed.

“Feel the consequences!” Rani said with glaring eyes and rushed away from there with wide strides. He just wanted to go back to his room and hang there, spilling his heart out over King's uncaring attitude towards him.

“Hei, Bro. Soon it's your turn to tame the horse!” shouted one of the workers.

“Quiet, I will definitely do it. But before that happens, I have to tame my fiance first.” He said with a big smile.

Rani felt her face heat up, she was eager to put her fists against Andre's limp lips right then and there. But it seemed impossible to do so, considering that all eyes were staring at them.

Rani tried to not care, even though all the eyes of the workers looked at her and whispered while smiling. He only cared about the one person sitting there, who only glanced at him and then threw away his face.

“Rani, wait!” exclaim Andre, and run after Rani. He caught his wrist and stopped his steps.

“What, the hell you want! Not satisfied You humiliated me in front of all the workers on this farm?” cetus Rani with eyes that begin to fog.

“You're crying?” Andre asked back with one eyebrow raised, his hand outstretched just touching the corner of Rani's dewy eyes.

“You really suck!” Reply Rani, brushed Andre's hand on her face.

“Sorry!”

Rani raised her face, half in disbelief at the words sorry from Andre's mouth. “What did you say, did I not hear wrong?”

“Sorry.” Andre repeated his words. “I owe you an apology. One thing you should know, I just want to get a second chance from you and make sure no one else has you before I get that second chance from you.”

“You're wasting your time, no second, third, fourth chances. Our relationship is over,” stressed Rani.

“I can't lie to myself that I still love you to this day,” Andre said sighing heavily.

Rani shook her head strongly, “You alone caused it all, and I hope this is the last time we meet.”

“Rani ..”

“It’s over, we're nobody else.” Rani turns around and steps inside her house, leaving Andre who is standing dumbly staring at her until the door behind her closes back.
