My Beloved Cowboy's

My Beloved Cowboy's
Chapters 37. The former challenge

It felt like time was going so fast, it was eleven o'clock at night. It was quite late for the villagers, but not for the three men who were seriously talking in the living room where Mr. Philips now lives.

Rani sat daydreaming with her chin up at the dinner table, while Gaby was still at home accompanying her grandmother to watch the show on television. Sometimes he sounded his breath. The parlor door and the living room are deliberately closed tightly makes Rani unable to freely hear what they are talking about, and it makes Rani bored.

Rani is still dazed, the unexpected thing happened. He never expected to see his ex back at his grandmother's farmhouse.

“Nek, I'm sleepy.” Rani got up and pretended to yawn, then covered her mouth with her finger. Grandma smiled and immediately took Rani home, they chose to go through the back door which was only a few meters from the main house.

“Cable us asap. Whatever decision your father makes, hopefully that's the best for you in the future.” Grandma patted Gaby's hand, which led them to the door.

Gaby nodded, “Surely, Madam. I'll let you know as soon as.”

Gaby pulls Rani's arm, then whispers in her ear. “I hope your relationship with King will improve.”

Rani raised one eyebrow, looking at Gaby. “You mean?”

Gaby put her fingertips to her lips and smiled meaningfully. He continued speaking in a whispering voice. “You must know what I mean, and I believe you will be able to overcome all your problems with him and make your ex immediately leave this place.”

“What does that mean you don't agree he bought your father's farm?” sahut Rani whispers back, but she forgets her grandmother is a very good listener and she can easily hear all the talk of herself and Gaby.

Gaby shrugged her shoulders, “I hope she's not the one, especially after I know that man is your ex and what he's done to you.” And Rani smiled hearing that.

“I think the distance of our house is not far, but why until now we did not also get there.” Grandma finally made a sound and spoke up, ruffled her waist and turned back and looked at Rani and Gaby who were still talking while whispering.

“You said you were sleepy, but look at you now. Your round eyes look even wider when talking about the ex!” the words of the granny who just made Rani grimace and rushed to grab her grandmother's arm and hug her. He waved his free hand to Gaby who was looking at him while holding back a laugh.

“Barusan is sleepy, Grandma. But now it's not anymore,” said Rani smiled sweetly while gnashing her eyes, and ended with grandma's hand rattling her hair.

While in the living room of Mr. Philips' house there has been considerable debate. The man remained on his re-establishment. He was willing to sell his farm at a sloping price, but with a note paid in cash without installments. While Andre requested payment time while waiting for his credit application to be approved by the bank.

“We appreciate Mr. Andre's seriousness, regarding the issue of payment time. But there are other needs that we must meet immediately, and do not rule out the possibility of other fans who also have the same desire with Mr. So the point is, who first makes cash payments to us, then he will be the owner of this farm land later.” Be firm, Mr. Philips.

“How about I give you an advance first, as a sign so.” Andre opened his bag and took out a wad of money, putting it on the table in front of all of them. “I really want this farmland.”

King held his breath, glancing at the glance. Not a small amount, he could see from the bonds of the money sheet in front of him. At her sight, Mr. Philips sighed, smiling at Andre.

“Look, Sir, I'll give you two weeks. If Tuan can pay off the amount of payment within that period, then I am happy to sell My farmland to Tuan.” Mr. Philips was unmoved, he was adamant about his stance and Andre knew he could no longer force the man to accept money from him.

Especially after knowing Rani's whereabouts in that place, her desire to make Rani hers again gets stronger. No matter what Rani's attitude towards her is, she believes she still loves him.

Although his negotiations with Mr. Philips were not what he expected, at least tonight he could lie quietly in Madame Maggie's bedroom realizing that Rani was within his reach and even stayed one roof with him. He can also smile in his sleep.

In stark contrast to Rani who kept pacing back and forth in her room, her long hair was allowed to unravel in disarray. The clock on the wall showed the number 2, he woke up after a bad sleep and had to immediately end his dream with King after Andre's creepy face appeared between the two of them.

Until a few hours later the sleepiness did not come, even though he had tried to sleep again. Rani is upset, this Sunday will certainly be the toughest day for her.

The plan to enjoy a relaxing time on the farm seemed threatened to fail. The former who had suddenly appeared had caused King's attitude towards him to change drastically. No longer seen looking at him gently, the man turned his face reluctant to meet him.

When the morning was about to arrive, Rani was only able to close her eyes. And when the kitchen of her grandmother's house was preoccupied with the sound of cooking utensils clashing with each other, Rani was just being soundly. He woke up when he heard Gaby's voice nearby.

“Hey, wake up Miss. It's eight in the morning. Do you not see the sun shining brightly and loud noises coming from the kitchen of this house?” said Gaby, pulling up the blanket that wrapped Rani's slender body.

“Gaby, please. Let me continue my sleep.” Rani pulls the blanket back, but Gaby's hands are more nimble. He immediately rolled it up and placed it in the corner of the room right above Rani's basket of clothes.

“Aren't you interested in seeing King and your ex-fiance compete to tame a horse this morning? Andre openly challenged King in front of all the workers, no matter what your ex wanted. And King without a second thought immediately received it,” said Gaby who successfully made Rani open her eyes wide.

But unfortunately only for a moment, a second later Rani buried her face in the pillow, and her shoulders look shaking violently.

“Rani, are you crying?” gaby asked worriedly, he walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed while rubbing Rani's back slowly.

Rani turns her body, and lies down facing Gaby. He pulled out the strands of hair covering his face, the corner of his eyes welling up tears.

“You!” exclaimed Gaby was anxious, her lips frowning and spontaneously pinched Rani's waist. “I thought You were crying thinking about the man, it turns out I was wrong.”

Rani's shoulder was shaking, but not because she was crying. Rani is holding her back after hearing Gaby's story about Andre challenging King to tame a horse.

“You know, we used to ride together. And Andre almost got lost because his face was smashed by a horse as he fell and tried to climb back up. I tried to pull him away, but he got angry and blamed me. Since then he never wanted to ride again, and preferred to play bowling with his secretary.” Rani paused for a moment, laughing bitterly.

“I became suspicious of the man's intentions, challenging King to a game that he clearly did not master.” Gaby said half muttering.

Rani got up and straightened her back, she rushed down from the bed and grabbed her bath towel. “I must prevent King from doing so, there must be something Andre is planning at this time. And I don't want anything to happen, then the guy will blame King for it.”
