Chapter 31. Back to work

That night King came to see Mr. Philips at his house. The man was lying on his old couch when King came. His blue eyes twitched like they were looking for someone behind King's back.

“I came to pick up Mister to stay at the Maggie's farmhouse,” King said conveying the intention of his arrival that night.

The man asked King to help him get up and sit in his wheelchair.

“What happened to Gaby, why hasn't she come home till night like this?” Mr. Philips turned his wheelchair around, walking towards the door. The crackling of the door opening was clear, the man was silent there waiting for Gaby to come home.

“Master, Gaby is now at Maggie's farmhouse with Rani.”

King then recounts the incident that happened to Gaby his daughter last afternoon at Ed's animal feed store. As Maggie told her, Mr. Philips had to know what had happened to his daughter as a result of Parker.

The man listened intently to all of King's stories, repeatedly hearing his heavy breathing. “Parker knows that Gaby can't stop working from there, and she made my daughter's working life hell.”

“Master, Parker has got his reply. He had to serve the punishment for his actions, his past sins were too much. Not just on Gaby, but on other women in her workplace first.” King said he got a report from a trusted source who had handled the abuse case Parker had done before.

“This disease has gnawed my old body, what is this useless male power. Can only be troublesome and never give the happiness of life to his own daughter.” Words of contrition sprang from Mr. Philips' lips.

“Gaby will return to work at Maggie's farm, he will feel calmer if his father is near and under his supervision.”

“It would be very troublesome for Maggie to have to take care of this old man again, it was enough that she had helped Gaby all this time. I couldn't possibly burden her life by living in her house. That's impossible to do,” refused Mr. Philips.

“Master does not stay free there, mistress Maggie has a desire to buy the land of the Master's farm. And during the process, the Master will stay at his house.”

In the end King was able to persuade Mr. Philips and the man was willing to obey when King took him away. King helped clear Mr. Philips' suitcase, and soon they were on their way to Maggie's farmhouse.

On Maggie's farm, there are many neatly lined patches of houses behind the main house. The plot of the house is reserved for farm workers who want to live there. Each house has two bedrooms in it, following facilities such as houses in general.

In one of the plots of the house, Gaby accompanied by Rani was busy improving. Although the grandmother had forbidden and said she would tell others to do it, but the two women still wanted to.

Gaby will sleep there that night with her father, she refuses subtly Rani's request to sleep with him because there is a father who needs her attention.

“Stop jumping like that, Rani. You remind me of the pouchy animal that's behind the hill there,” granny scolds watch Rani keep jumping on one leg.

“Stop preventing me from jumping like this, Nek.” Rani jumped up again, and immediately hugged her grandmother who could only clap her grandson's arm.

Gaby can only smile at Rani's behavior, her always cheerful attitude makes her comfortable and feel happy.

Actually, Rani could have walked normally. But the bandage on his leg made his footsteps uncomfortable. As a result, Rani prefers to jump on one leg.

Rani was not aware of the consequences, until the night before bed her calves felt tight and her thighs ache. He woke up in the middle of the night complaining of pain.

The bustling sounds from the back house were clear, Rani was trying to get up and wanted to see it. But the pain in his leg caused him to stop there, he walked slowly out of his room, looking for something in the medicine box to ease the pain in his leg.

“Aaaargh ... Why does it hurt like this?” Complaining Rani, he sat on his feet while hitting his thigh slowly repeatedly.

Take a cream that can warm the legs, then apply it from the groin down to the ankles and then massage it slowly. “Uuuhh pain.”

“This I help.” King had suddenly just been nearby, crouched down nearby and took over the cream from his hands.

Rani opened her eyes quickly, gasping at the presence of King nearby and subconsciously pulling quickly her legs which were in King's hand checks.

“Aaoww!” The dumps in his eyes finally flowed down on his cheeks. Rani snorted in annoyance and spontaneously clasped King's shoulder. “For you, right. So more pain!”

“Loh, because of Me.” King distanced his body, dodging Rani's hand blow on his shoulder. “That's the result if not according to what the parents said. It's big still happy to jump.”

“What, anyway!” Rani grumbled, turning her face away. The tip of his fingers rubbed his wet cheek gently.

King smiled looking at her, he knew how much pain Rani felt. He was walking home after helping Mr. Philips move into his new home, and his ears heard Rani's complaints inside the house.

“Have not cried, hold ya. I massage the veins so that your legs are more comfortable.”

King began to smear Rani's legs and massaged her slowly. Initially Rani grimaced and revolted, but over time King's hand massage made the pain in her legs reduced.

His eyes slowly closed, then before long his head drooped on the back of the chair. Rani fell asleep while King was still massaging her legs.

King smiled at him, he stopped his massage and got up. King tucked his hands between Rani's waist and thighs, then carried her into his room and laid her on the bed.

For a moment he just looked at that beautiful face. Slowly his hand stretched out to rub the hair on Rani's cheek, then King lowered his body and kissed Rani's forehead and corners. “Good sleep, baby. Sweet dreams.”

King pulls the blanket at Rani's feet and covers her body, then steps out of the room. Slowly Rani opened her eyes, and smiled then closed her eyes again.

The next day, Grandma and Rani are shocked by Gaby's presence in her study. The woman has been sitting sweetly behind her old work desk which until now is still neatly arranged. Nothing has changed in the least, because grandma believes Gaby will be back there.

“Today no one can work on this table, either Rani or Gaby. What happened to you yesterday, is enough to make me rethink to give a break to restore your health condition.”

“But, Mistress. I feel healthy enough to start working today.” Said Gaby.

Unfortunately grandma does not want to hear any word of rebuttal from Gaby or Rani, “I've called the doctor to check your health. After that I will decide whether you can work or not today.”

The two young women said, Rani is glad she can rest again. While Gaby feels uncomfortable if you have to stay there.

Around ten o'clock in the morning the awaited doctor came, “No serious injuries, just ordinary bruises. And you can get back to work as usual.”

The doctor stared at Gaby for a moment, “I hope Parker gets the punishment, he can't do that anymore to the other women out there.”

“Thank you, Doctor.” Sahut Gaby's.

After hearing the doctor's words and believing that Gaby could work again, the grandmother assigned him to continue the follow-up bookkeeping report that Rani had made. While Rani rests in her room while occasionally helping Gaby.

Not long ago Gaby felt calm doing her job, the noise on the porch of the house caught her attention. He walked out and was surprised to see Hary there. The man was about to enter the farmhouse, but the workers confronted him and drove him away.
