My Beloved Arana's

My Beloved Arana's
Chapter 66: Alva, Who Do You Like?

Housed on the dining table, Alva propped her chin up by the hand, looking towards the kitchen to find Arana and Arletta who were shoulder to shoulder cooking their dinner.

"Nana, please take care of the soup, okay? Mama's gonna wash the fruit."

Arana smiled and nodded her head. "Good, ma."

Arana immediately takes over the soup when Arletta washes the fruit and cuts it. The girl stirred the soup and tasted it using a spoon before nodding her head in satisfaction, feeling that her tongue had already felt the exact taste as she had imagined. His hand switched to stirring the meat pan, adding some seasoning and stirring it for some time and spooning it a little to give it to Arletta.

"Mnh!! So delicious! Nana's really good at cooking, huh!"

Getting such compliments, Arana smiled and returned to take care of her food, unaware of Alva pursing her lips on the table. She is jealous of Arana and Arletta's interactions. If she could cook, they could cook together, and the one Arana would feed her for tasting was herself.

But given that he couldn't even boil water, Alva's face was further bent.

Afterwards, the three spent their dinner in a warm atmosphere.

"Mama didn't just stay here?" Arana asked Arletta when the middle-aged woman was planning to return.

Arletta shook her head. "Mama's going to see your mama's friend after this. Mama made an appointment, so you have to come."

"Tomorrow mama will come here again."

Listening to that, Arana nodded her head cheerfully. Just like a kid who was promised to buy ice cream or promised to go to the playground. Looking at her, Arletta could not help but get anxious to hug the stunned Arana.

"Don't forget to get enough rest, son."

Arana's nose was sour, but Arana calmly returned Arletta's embrace and nodded her head. "Yes, ma. Mama be careful on the road."

The two let go of their embrace and Arletta nodded and turned to Alva. "Come on, Nan."

Alva landed a light kiss on Arana's cheek while saying, "I'll be back pretty late. No need to wait for me and rest, okay?"

"Mrs. Careful."

Then, only Arana left in the hallway alone. The girl rubbed her arms feeling a desolate feeling and closed the door.

***

Inside the car, Arletta suddenly opened her lips, revealing something that made Alva unable to help but be surprised.

"Is he really Alana, Nan?"

Alva smiled, focused on the street in front of her and revealed a smile. "What does mama mean? When will mom come home? Later Al can drive mama to the airport."

Arletta turned her head, looking firmly at Alva. "Nan, mama is the one who gave birth to you. You know how you grow from baby to adult. Mama knows you, so, tell mama clearly. Is she, really Alana you brought to see mom one year ago?"

There was silence for some time, before at last Alva opened her lips. "He's not Alana."

"His name is Arana, Arana Canyelier. She's Alana's twin sister."

Alva's reply made Arletta's forehead constrict in confusion. "Did Alana have a twin sister? Isn't Alana a single daughter and has only one older brother named Hiro who lives in the Netherlands? And how could she be your wife? Don't you love Alana and want to marry her?"

"This story, maybe you don't want to hear it." Said Alva.

Arletta shook her head. "No! Tell everything to my mom!"

Alva took a deep breath and started telling me about Arana. "At first, Al did want to marry Alana. But a few days before the wedding day, Alana's parents bring back Arana from Melbourne and tell her to marry in Alana's place."

Arletta's bead widened and she was about to shout furiously as Alva tried to calm her down, as if knowing Arletta's thoughts. "Mama calm down. Alva knows they're cheating us all out to maintain a cooperative relationship with Al's company. But the point is not there."

"The real thing is Arana's life."

Alva continued. "Al was already investigating about Arana's life when Al already found out that she was not Alana. Then, Al was completely dumbfounded with his life. When Arana was a child, she was entrusted to her grandmother who lived in Melbourne. When his grandmother died, did you know what happened?"

"What .. what happened?" Tanya Arletta was curious.

"Arana was left there, without being given a penny to survive. Her parents completely ignored her and forgot her whereabouts to focus on taking care of the weak-bodied Alana from childhood. As a result, Arana had to work even when she was just a teenager, a time when she should still feel the sweetness of playing and making friends, also attending school comfortably."

Hearing Alva's words, Arletta closed her lips in surprise. Didn't expect that there were such parents to their own daughter.

"Is that really all, Nan?"

Alva nodded, not trying to cover up the slightest problem. He wanted his mother to know how tough Arana's life was, so Arletta could understand and accept Arana's situation.

"From the information Al got, it was. But mama knows? Even when her friends run her over and insult her, she'll be amazed to hear how smart Arana is." Said Alva.'

"Although busy with part-time work, Arana is very diligent in learning to make it always get the first rank when class increases. Arana was also the highest test scorer in Melbourne for three consecutive years while in high school and managed to get an invitation from various well-known universities, one of them is Ocean University which is the best university in all Australia." Alva never once made up a story, and revealed everything he knew.

Hearing what Alva stated, Arletta was unable to hold back her admiration for Arana.

At first, he is indeed disappointed in the girl for being included in Lidia, Michael and Alana's plan to deceive Alva and everyone. But he did not expect that there would be such a sad story in his life, which was actually not worth experiencing by him who was still young.

Arletta as a parent, as a mother, was ashamed to think of the cruelty of Lydia and Michael who could have abandoned their angel-hearted daughter like Arana.

"Mama also knows, Arana apparently mastered various languages in the world including Greek. I heard him say something in Greek when we were watching a movie together. He looks happy, so maybe it's a compliment." Alva said he did not stop telling stories.

"You know that little girl who came to our wedding? His name is Amber. She is Arana's best friend, and she is with one more of her best friends is a person who always helps and is there for Arana when she needs them, so when they come, I really appreciate them."

Looking at her son who kept raving about Arana and Arana, Arletta looked at him in silence before she opened her voice, interrupting Alva who was about to reopen her voice.

"Who do you like, Nan? Alana, or Arana?"
