Arana stared at Alva and Arletta who were still busy shopping in the mall to buy things that pregnant women need to feel comfortable. No half-hearted, now Arletta and Alva are even arguing to choose a sofa sitting for Arana to sit it becomes more comfortable.
Looking at the two, Arana calmly put on a smile before taking some distance and reaching for her phone to contact someone.
"Ma.."
[What's up, Rana?]
Arana held her breath for a few seconds before exhaling deeply and answering. "I'm pregnant, ma. It's been a month."
There was a moment of silence before Lidia said anything. [Really? Good job, keep maintaining your identity. One day, when Alana returns, the baby will be Alana's child as well.]
Arana's bead became cold. Will his son be Alana's son?
Not likely. Arana won't let it. If he has to leave, he will leave with his baby. She will not give up her flesh and blood for others even if it is her own twin, because Arana will never allow herself to become a victim again. She would be selfish for herself and would not care what reason Alana would give her when she could not get her baby.
Because the baby in her stomach now belongs only to her and to Alva, not to anyone else.
[Mama's outside, Rana. Mama's gonna tell your dad and we're gonna be here in a couple of days.]
"I'm not home. If mom and dad want to come, just come to Alva's parents' house."
[Really? Alright. Keep your identity and keep your relationship good with Alva's parents. Understood?]
Arana hummed indifferently before firmly ending the phone call. It seems to be of no use. Once he remains ignored and considered a substitute, forever he will be like that. Arana crumpled her phone a little before sighing, regulating her emotions.
"Nana, do you like cream or black, honey?"
Arletta's voice sounded. Arana turned around and smiled answering Arletta's question who was standing near the sofa together with Alva. "Nana likes soft colors, ma."
Arletta hit Alva's arm slowly. "What did mama say? Nana will love the soft colors. Men's taste when it's not about women is bad business."
"The decision is unanimous. We're gonna buy this one." Arletta continued, "It's time to find a bed!"
Later that day, Arana literally spends her time seeing Alva and Arletta arguing about buying her this and that.
...***...
Sitting on the sofa with Alva massaging her arms, Arana could barely say anything.
"Darling, already, huh? Stop massaging." Arana tries to pull her hand, but Alva prevents her and gently continues massaging her arm up to her shoulder. "No dear, said the doctor you should relax and should not be exhausted."
"That's if I get pregnant big, Al. If this is the case, my fall is too spoiled for you. Mama also had to cook alone because I didn't help her."
Alva rubs Arana's mane with affection. "There's a maid at home, baby. They will take care of the home. Speaking of cleaning the house, I called someone who would come every day to clean the apartment. So, you don't have to be tired of cleaning the house."
Arana swallowed back her voice when she saw Alva's gentle gaze. Arana is pregnant, but that does not mean she immediately became a princess who can not do anything because since childhood even bathed and fed or cut her nails. Arana can still do anything even though it is not a rough job like lifting heavy items or running around.
Arana probably knows both feelings.
Alva wants the best for him because the fetus is the first baby Alva. It was also his first baby. As for Arletta, it was her first grandchild, and Arletta wanted to make sure that Arana and the baby were okay.
"I understand, Al."
Alva gently rubbed Arana's stomach and smilingly kissed Arana's two cheeks. "Darling, I really love you."
"Me too, Al."
Alva was about to say something back when the doorbell rang. The housekeeper who worked at Arletta's house immediately opened the door, and two people stepped into the spacious room. Arana turned her head and Alva slightly frowned looking at them. Before his face turned into a faint fake smile.
"Mama and papa are here?"
Alva did not stand up, holding Arana's feet down and still putting them on her lap and massaging her gently under Arana's confused gaze.
"of course. Our beloved daughter is pregnant, how will we not welcome our first grandchild?"
Michael spoke in a firm voice. There was happiness in his voice. As a man with strong ambitions, Michael was very hopeful for his grandson. Michael desperately hopes that his grandson is a boy and when he grows up, he can inherit his company to become a big company.
Michael walked towards Arana and hugged her. "Congratulations, son. Thank you so much, we're so happy that we're going to be grandparents."
In front of her, Lidia also hugs Arana, crying with a face that seems filled with happiness, even though Arana and Alva know that both of them are just acting. Arana smiled a smile under Alva's gaze and hugged the two faintly. "Same-sama, ma, pa. I'm also very happy."
"I'm the one who should feel very grateful to mom and dad for bringing me here, so I can feel this happiness."
"What do you mean?"
Lydia froze and asked in a soft voice as Arana then smiled sweetly. "Eh, Nana said it wrong. I mean, thank you for bringing me into this world, so that I can meet Alva who sincerely loves me for who I am. Alva who wants to love my family and not just look at my strengths. Thank you ma, pa."
Lydia looked at Arana and awkwardly smiled. Her face was a little pale, and her heart was pounding when she almost thought that Arana would reveal the secret that she was not actually Alana but Arana whom they had brought here to replace Alana.
"Mom and Dad, please sit down."
Say Alva with a smile that is not a smile. He looked at a housekeeper who had just opened the door. "Bi, please call mama and make a drink for our guests."
The guest phrases for Lydia and Michael who visited Arletta and Johan's house were actually a little rude because they were not ordinary guests because they were besan. But Alva's words to the maid clearly confirmed that Lydia and Michael were only guests and not part of the family in the house.
Lydia glanced at Michael, who sat himself on the sofa opposite Arana and Alva before he followed the husband to sit down. Lydia looked at Arana and smiled before opening her voice again. "Mama's daughter is grown up, now she's going to be a mother."
"And I'm sure Nana will be a good mother. Right, Lydia?"
The four of them turned their heads and found Arletta smiling and looking at Lydia with a gaze that made Lydia unconsciously feel the feeling of being oppressed in her mind and a flash of memory slowly flowed in her head.
"Don't I ever tell you to never argue with me?"
"Jal*ng poor like you is it worth having a choice in your life?"
"Disappear and never dream of rising from your slump. You're gonna be a loser forever, aren't you?"
"You never change, do you?"
Because long ago, Lydia could never win from Arletta.
