"You're here again? "
Amber asked Exel who had come again. Though just yesterday he said he would come every week, but not yet a day has passed, why has he come back again?
"You said you'd come every week, but you came back when you came yesterday."
Exel took off his shoes and placed them on the shoe rack, as if it was his own home, and even stepped in casually while putting down a bag of fruits, he said, vegetables and meat on the table as he put his coat on the couch. He looked around and turned to look at Amber who stepped closer after closing the door.
"This house has good air circulation. You have a housekeeper?"
Amber shakes. "For what?"
"Sit down."
Hearing Exel's words, Amber inevitably sat down. The young man sat across from Amber and then said, "I'm going to hire a housekeeper in the future. Heavy work will be taken care of by your maid and supplement problems and your pregnancy needs, I'll hire a nurse to help you set a good intake pattern for our baby."
Amber slightly lowered her manic gaze when she heard our word used on her stomach baby. Amber slightly rubbed her stomach and could not avoid that indeed the man was also her biological father.
"As for aunt Melody, I came to her yesterday when I got home from here."
Amber was a little surprised and looked up. He had just noticed the red rash on Exel's left and looked at him before saying doubtfully. "Don't-don't aunt..."
Exel rubbed his cheeks at a glance casually. "Just left over, no problem. The important thing is that the matter is over with Aunt Melody, and from now on I'll be here every day. Though not for long, at least I'll come for lunch or breakfast while bringing you things."
"So don't hesitate to send me a message." Exel raised his eyes, "It's also if you don't block my number from your phone."
"No," Amber shifted her gaze, "cock.."
Exel was not disappointed as he had already guessed that Amber did block his number. He calmly pulled out a card and gave it to Amber. "That's my new number. I just changed a while ago because of some problem, you can call me there if you need anything."
Amber looked at the business card before nodding her head and keeping it in a spelt glass drawer. "I'll call you if I need anything. Sure, only if."
"It's important you know my number."
Amber nodded her head, looking towards the kitchen. "Want lunch before you go?"
"I'm just cooking tomato and chicken soup, certainly don't know if it tastes as good as Arana's, but at least it can still satiate the stomach." Amber said with a little embarrassment because remembering she wasn't a good cook.
Exel noticed Amber's expression before calmly nodding his head. "Um, I'll eat if you let me."
Amber nodded her head, stepped into the kitchen while Exel sat on the table eating and looked at Amber who was preparing food for her. Five minutes later, Amber returned with a bowl of warm tomato soup. Amber was about to return to the kitchen, but Exel first stood up and then took the rice and chicken that had been provided by Amber and brought her a shirt because she did not want to be too burdensome Amber.
The two then sat down and began to enjoy their lunch together.
There was at least someone beside him, who remembered to accompany him to eat.
A while passed, Exel wiped his lips with a tissue and threw them into the trash. He took his coat which he put on the sofa and stepped towards the exit along with Amber who escorted him. Exel put on his coat then fell slightly silent for some time before turning to look at Amber who looked up at him.
Exel lowered his gaze and looked at Amber's bulging stomach and hesitated a little. "May I ... touch it?"
Amber realized Exel's intentions immediately. He then nodded. Getting permission from the owner, his hands lifted and moved slowly until it landed smoothly into the womb Amber who was three months pregnant. The warmth of Exel's hand made Amber slightly look at Exel who was still glued to her stomach. The movement of her hands may be a little awkward, but Amber clearly felt a soft feeling and a comfortable sense of warmth. Both his stomach and his heart.
He looked at Exel and opened his lips. "When we first met, did you hate me?"
Exel's hand stopped Amber's stomach. He slowly withdrew his hand, raised his gaze and clashed with a pair of Amber ash beads.
Flashbacks
"From today we'll stay here, Amber."
The building was so big and magnificent in Amber's eyes. His pair of ash-coloured manic looked at his new home sparkling. It never occurred to the five-year-old girl that she would live in a building that even looked like a palace, especially when he previously lived in a place that was very inversely proportional to the building in front of him.
"Take care of your attitude while you're here." His voice was filled with decisiveness, "You should get rid of your bad habits and start behaving politely or your mama will leave you to live on the streets."
The threat made Amber shake her head and look at Leviana. She may be naughty enough, but she always listens to her mother because for Amber, only the mother is always with her, when their lives are like hell. Only the mother held him when he was cold. The one who works always comes home late to feed him and his needs.
"I'll be a good boy, ma."
Not long after Amber spoke, the gate opened. There were some servants lined up immediately. And along with that, a long white-bearded old man immediately greeted Leviana and Amber with a polite bow, but not a hospitality and just a form of work formality.
"Welcome Miss Leviana. Please follow me to meet the great sir."
Amber under Leviana's arms soon followed the woman with her. He looked around him with a look of admiration, which clearly showed how lonely he was. Amber was not ashamed, because she had never seen or had such a wonderful thing in her life. The tall pillars, the shady and spacious garden and the workers who so many roamed all over the building to take care of the house so large that Amber was able to call it like the palace.
"Who is this grandfather?" Amber's question made Leviana look at Amber with a smile, but her sharp gaze made Amber's guts to ask back shrieked.
"Call him Sam's grandfather, Amber. He's the butler of this house. If you need anything, you can ask him anything, but remember not to bother, understand?"
Amber published her smile. His puffed-up cheeks lifted and he nodded his head immediately. "Amber understood, mama!"
Amber had no idea how far they were walking. But when Amber finally felt tired from continuing to walk with her small legs, she was finally brought into the building. Amber's bead was further widened by admiration, until her pair of manics looked at someone who seemed to be standing on the steps and looking at her with eyes that made Amber more or less confused. He tilted his head slightly and looked at the seemingly older boy before blinking as Leviana pulled him back to follow him.
Amber turned her gaze and saw herself being taken into a room after passing through the elevator.
There was a man who looked older than the mother, but his handsome and charismatic appearance made Amber again amazed. The man stood up, hugged Leviana for a few moments, revealing each other's longing and romantic words under Amber's gaze before the man pulled his body away from Leviana and he crouched down in front of Amber.
"Amber, right?"
Amber looked at the man in front of her before nodding her head firmly. Amber was never afraid of anything, and her awareness of poverty made her grow in the confidence to uphold her own self-worth even though she did not have any possessions. "Yes. What uncle?"
The man placed his hand on Amber's head and stroked her, making Amber frown in confusion. "It seems that your mama still hasn't told me in detail. From today, you will stay in this mansion, because you are my daughter, my biological daughter, Amber."
