EXTRA CHAPTER 4 — AMBER & EXEL

Hearing Amber's question, Exel was slightly surprised. He looked at Amber and nodded his head. "I love you."

Exel breathed. "You may not know. But I've liked you for a long time. You are beautiful, you are sweet, you are radiant and you are what you are. Ever since I first saw you, I thought I saw a fairy."

"I'm not lying."

Amber thought about it and couldn't help but think that she felt embarrassed and flattered for her praise. His statement could probably have the same meaning that Arana had told him. She loved.

"Lantas, that night ..." Amber paused her question a little which made Exel close his eyes because she knew what Amber meant before she even finished asking, "... why did you do it to me? Why are you mixing my drink with medicine?"

Exel sighed after taking a deep breath. He looked at Amber and held her hand gently. "Amber, it wasn't me who gave you the medicine. At that moment, it was already the time when the party entered the middle. Since you're permission to go upstairs first, I'm worried that maybe you're sick. I followed you to see if you were okay or not, but I found someone trying to get into your room."

Exel dares to take a risky decision because he knows that Amber is a very strong and brave girl he knows, so even if Amber faces his depravity, Amber will still stand firmly against him.

At first Exel was prepared to face jail or fines, but he never expected that Amber would act that mature by making the choice to drop full custody into Amber's hands and set a line on her.

But, it was an opportunity for Exel.

"May I slap you just once?"

Exel gasped at Amber's question. The girl looked at him sternly which made Exel nod his head. Amber raised her hand and in an instant landed a hard slap on Exel's cheek. The man even turned his head because of the force of Amber's slap. Which is no joke if Amber is serious.

"The slap is for your depravity. The slap was for the cold attitude you gave me as if you were looking at me as if it was nothing. The slap was for all the fear I experienced after the pain and nightmares I had after that night."

"I'm sorry, but I never regret it, Amber." Said Exel.

Amber pursed her lips with a pair of watery beads before scattering Exel's hug. The man looked at Amber before rubbing her beloved girl's small back. "But I can't hate you. I can't blame you because you weren't wrong either. If you hadn't shown up, I probably wouldn't have been this brave because it wasn't you."

"If it weren't you ..." Amber began to sob, "I don't know what would have happened had it not been you."

At that moment, Amber was indeed terrified. Under his helplessness, Amber was always terrified. But Exel treated her gently. Although it was a bad experience that she did not want at all, Exel never hurt her and treated her gently, whispering sedative words. At that moment Amber's mind was muddled by the panic she felt, so she could not understand every whisper and word Exel had at that moment.

But when he remembered it clearly, Exel really loved him.

"Amber, I knew I'd sound cruel and like a psychopath. But when that person isn't me, I'll kill him with my own hands and make sure he chooses death instead of having to remember about you." Exel said while pulling Amber closer to his embrace but avoiding the pressure on Amber.

Exel wasn't lying even at this point.

I want to protect you and take care of you with all my heart. Although people say I have no heart, even if people say I am cold and cruel, I don't care because my only purpose in life is to see your smile every time*." Exel said with determination.

Cuddled by Exel, Amber's face fused to become increasingly red. He bit his lips and whispered, "You are indeed a manipulative dog*n. And stupidly I've fallen for that dog*n."

Hearing what Amber said made Exel smile. He hugged Amber and dropped a friendly kiss on the head of the girl who had captured her heart when he first saw her.
