My Beloved Arana's

My Beloved Arana's
Chapter 126: Parent Talking

Alva sat on the back of her greatness as her eyes focused on the documents she had to examine. Several division heads came to him and some of them did consultations and gave reports on the development of their divisions which kept Alva quite busy. Alva turned the page when Arana contacted him.

"Darling? What the hell's going on? Do you need anything?"

Alva always prioritizes Arana. Even while she was at work, Alva stopped checking her work files and picked up a call from Arana.

[Honey, it's about Aki.]

Alva's eyebrows are raised when hearing Arana's words. He asked, "What's wrong with Aki, honey?"

[Just Aki came up to me and told me the reason why she ran away from Al.]

Alva was surprised and straightened her back. "really? What did Aki say?"

There was a sigh before Arana began to recount what Aki had told her. [Actually, Aki is indeed getting pressure at home. And that's from Yoko's sister. Aki says that Kak Yoko always forced Aki to study all day on the day off and forced her to study even after coming home from school until night. You know, right, Aki likes to take pictures? Aki also likes to read novels. And those two things are things that Yoko does not like.]

[Although Aki had tried to persuade Yoko that Aki would not be affected just because of taking pictures and reading, she said, kak Yoko does not want to listen to him and instead burns all the novel books that Aki bought secretly and then the two quarrel.]

[Aki said she was just disappointed in Yoko's sister. So, he ran away here.]

Hearing what Arana said, Alva could not respond for quite some time before heavily sighing. "Thank you for listening to Aki and thank you for telling me, baby. Aki, since long ago it was too closed and always quiet. He hardly reveals what he likes and what he dislikes. Now we know the root of the problem, and maybe Aki and Yoko can solve this problem well."

[Yes, Al. Now Aki is asleep. The quiet child seemed to be crying out loudly like that almost made my heart want to be dislodged.]

Alva. "After crying?"

Arana nodded her head across there. [Yes, he was crying. It's unbelievable, right?]

[So he's still fourteen, Al. He is also a child.]

"Yes, you're right. I will call Joshua and tell him the matter. Thank you for keeping Aki comfortable so she wants to tell me." Alva's voice was as gentle as the smile she was now sharing.

[Don't thank me, Al. Aki has also been a part of my family, and I certainly have to help if my family is in trouble.]

Alva laughed softly. His heart was filled with warmth. His pair of manics stared at his picture and Arana was framed by the elegant black frame on her desk and she wore a smile that was getting warmer and friendlier. Arana is indeed an angel who was sent down to warm and make her heart always happy.

"Yes, baby."

After chatting again for some time, Alva then contacted Joshua until Joshua picked up his phone call. "Uncle."

[Oh, Alva. How, Al? What happened to Aki?]

Alva begins to tell about what Arana said to make the silence happen for some time after Alva finished telling the story. Alva waited for Joshua's response calmly and unhurriedly forced him to respond immediately. Joshua is a man who is careful in determining the direction of his life, he may still process where the fault lies so that his family can have problems with the escape of the son.

[I understand.]

Joshua finally whispered.

[Thank you for helping me so much, Al. Say my regards to Alana, say I say thank you. After this I have to talk to Yoko and find out what she really did so as to make Aki run away like this.]

"Yes uncle. Uncle doesn't have to worry about Aki because she's fine here. When we can persuade her, I'll drive Aki home and sort things out with aunt."

[Thank you again, Al.]

...***...

"Darling, can we have a little chat?"

Yoko saw seriousness and decisiveness in Joshua's eyes and nodded her head. Seeing Yoko nod, Joshua stepped away from the room, waiting for Yoko to persuade Naoki to be left for a while.

"Naoki, you have something you should talk to dad about. Naoki sat here and watched the movie himself first, huh? Mother just for a moment."

Naoki nodded his head and was still engrossed in his ice cream. "Yes mother!"

Moments later, Yoko follows Joshua in his study.

"Close the door." Joshua's words kept Yoko shut the door despite a bit of confusion. "What's up, baby? Any word on Aki? Is he coming home soon?"

"Where's the camera I gave Aki?"

Without further ado, Joshua immediately asked. The question made Yoko startled and raised her eyebrows. "What's wrong? Is there something with Aki's camera?"

Joshua took a breath. "Dear, please be honest with me. What happened to you and Aki as long as I wasn't home."

Yoko looked at Joshua and widened her eyes. "You don't trust me? You're asking me this again because you don't trust me, right?"

"No, not."

Joshua spoke strongly. "Alva just called me. He already knows why Aki ran away and he already told me. Please tell me, baby, I won't be angry. We may not be communicating here. We can fix what happened."

"What am I doing?!"

In the end Yoko was unable to contain her emotions and shock. "Is telling your own lazy son to study wrong?! I want the best for Aki and Naoki! I just want them to be able to be useful and be seen by people in the future. I want Aki to study at Nagoya University to become a doctor! Where am I wrong when I want their lives to be nice and comfortable?"

Joshua looked at Yoko with a difficult look.

"You want it or because it's a dream you couldn't achieve long ago, Yoko?"

Hearing Joshua's question, Yoko's eyes widened. There was anger, sadness and disappointment in his eyes. He looked different from the charming and meek woman he usually saw. Yoko in her eyes now looked like someone else and it made Joshua's heart very and very uncomfortable.

"I always get advice from my parents that every child is free to dream and like what they want. Parents only need to support and support the child when they are in trouble and they are exhausted so they always remember what they like and tell them that even if they fail, they are exhausted, who they are our sons will never change." Joshua's voice was calm.

"Aki always liked photo exhibitions when she was a child. That's why I bought him a camera and he's talented at it. Recently, I found out that Aki became an online writer because her friend told me. He has a lot of readers who love his work."

"while Naoki. He does love drawing, but don't you know that Naoki likes math better? He studied by his own will, not by force. That's what makes Aki and Naoki different. Naoki learns out of desire and joy, while Aki learns out of compulsion from you." Joshua says.

He continued. "Every child has their own weaknesses and strengths Yoko. They have their own lives, which are different from ours. We as parents cannot impose our will on our children for personal satisfaction."

"Aki likes to take pictures, and Aki likes to write. That's what's his advantage and what he likes." Joshua Said.

"What can Aki get from such a thing?! Becoming a photographer? No kidding! Being a writer does it mean that he can also be rich and can live comfortably in the future?!"

Joshua looked at Yoko with an almost tired gaze. "But that does not mean we as parents can stop and prohibit things they like. Aki does need to learn, but she can learn enough. His grades are also good and he is an independent boy. It is not the values that determine everything, but the tenacity and prowess that he has so that he can survive the world of work. Aki must have understood that too."

"I just want them to be what I dream of being. That's it."

And Yoko, started crying in her mixed feelings.
