Chapter 7: sulis sitting alone in the city park

Sulis sat alone in the city park, silent as suddenly a man walked up to her. Sulis raised his eyes and saw that the man was Ahmad, his high school friend whom he had not seen for a long time.

"Write? How are you?" greet Ahmad with a big smile.

"Ahmad? It was unexpected to meet you here," replied Sulis, surprised yet delighted to meet him.

"How long have we not seen each other, Sulis," Ahmad said as he extended his hand to shake.

"It's been almost ten years, Ahmad. How's it been all this time?" asked Sulis while accepting Ahmad's hand-off.

Ahmad sighed and sat down beside Sulis on the park bench. "Many things have happened in my life, Sulis. After graduating high school, I went on to study out of town and then worked in a large company as a manager. But apparently, none of that makes me happy. I feel like there's less in my life."

Sulis listened attentively. Ahmad's face looks serious and not like it used to be when he was in school. He felt a sense of emptiness in his friend's heart.

"I'm completely lost my way, Sulis. I felt like I was walking in the dark, with no clear purpose. Then I heard the news that you published a successful novel. It made me realize that maybe I also need to find my own passion."

Sulis smiled gently. "Ahmad, right now I am also facing a heavy phase in my life. Being a writer is not easy, but I find happiness in it. I believe that you too will find your passion, provided you give yourself the time and effort to pursue what you love."

Ahmad nodded, his expression looking haughty. "Thank you, Sulis. I'm glad we met again. You always give me hope and inspiration."

Sulis smiled happily. "We will support each other, Ahmad. We'll fight together to make our dreams come true."

The two sat in the park, talking about their respective life journeys

and give each other encouragement. They realize that it is never too late to pursue their dreams and find happiness.

Sulis looked at Ahmad with a hopeful look, "There are people who have hurt my feelings, Ahmad. That person is our close friend, Rani. I feel like he's deliberately trying to mess up my relationship with Rian, my girlfriend. I don't know what to do."

Ahmad nodded, understanding Sulis's worries. "It's hard when someone we trust as a friend behaves that way. However, it is important for us to deal with it with understanding and wisdom. We cannot control the actions of others, but we can control the way we respond."

Sulis nodded slowly, holding Ahmad's hand tightly. "But what if Rian believes in the negative comments Rani makes about me? I'm afraid our relationship will be ruined just because of Rani's slander and jealousy."

Ahmad smiled gently, "Trust in your love, Sulis. If Rian really loves you, he will see your kindness and know that Rani's comments are not true. Talk to Rian honestly and openly about what happened. Can we convey a positive message and set an example of good understanding to Rian? Who knows, he might see who really wants to make him happy."

Sulis heaved a sigh of relief, feeling the courage arising from within his heart. "Thank you, Ahmad. I know what I have to do now. I'll talk to Rian and try to fix this situation."

Ahmad smiled proudly at Sulis, "That's it. I'm sure you can deal with this. Remember, Sulis, strong love and solid relationships will always stand firm in the face of trials and gossip. Trust your feelings and you'll get through this together."

With a lighter heart, Sulis and Ahmad continued their conversation while enjoying their favorite drink. They know that friendship and support for each other will continue to strengthen them in the face of difficult things in this life

A few weeks have passed since the meeting of Sulis and Ahmad in the cafe. The two have exchanged phone numbers and communicated regularly since the meeting. Sulis feels more and more interested in Ahmad every day. They often tell stories about their hobbies, ideals, and life experiences.

Their meeting in the cafe was a precious moment for both of them. They share their life story, expressing the joy and struggle they face in achieving their dreams and life goals.
