Chapter 109: "Self Search"
After facing many problems and difficulties, Sulis felt drowned in sadness and despair. He felt like he didn't know himself anymore, and didn't know how to be himself anymore. However, one day, Sulis meets Ahmad, an old friend who also has difficulty in finding his identity.
"The more I try to find myself, the more I feel lost" Sulis told Ahmad in a hoarse voice.
Ahmad smiled and said, "I also once felt that way. But then I realized that the search for self is not about finding something missing, but about getting to know yourself better."
"Why how?" asked Sulis, still feeling confused.
"Ask yourself, what makes you happy? What makes you angry? What makes you feel alive?"
Sulis thought carefully about Ahmad's words, and then finally he began to look for answers to those questions. He spends time alone, rearranging his thoughts, and trying to be more sensitive to his own feelings and desires.
After some time, Sulis felt he had found some clarity in his life. He began to pursue things that had always pleased him, and learned from his bad experiences to make adjustments in his life.
"Thank you for the friend who so I found myself back," Sulis smiled at Ahmad.
Ahmad smiled, "Sam-sam. I also feel more comfortable with my reality now that you helped me through this predicament."
Now, Sulis finds her purpose in life and feels more confident and happy with herself. He learned that seeking out the self is not just about finding something missing, but about getting to know yourself more deeply.
After finding himself back, Sulis and Ahmad continue to be friends and provide support for each other in their search for meaning in life. They share experiences and stories about things they learned along the way, and provide motivation to keep improving.
In fact, Sulis and Ahmad inspired those around them, including their friends and family, to take steps to find themselves. They know that the search for identity is not easy, but they want to show that it is possible and important to do.
As Sulis begins to feel saturated with his daily routine, Ahmad invites him on a mind-opening journey. They visit new places, meet new people, and experience new things. In this journey, Sulis discovers that change and new experiences can help him deepen his understanding of himself.
Meanwhile, Ahmad found his identity after he volunteered in a social program. He realized that helping the less fortunate could be a life goal that renews the positive energy within him. Ahmad also showed Sulis that seeking identity is not only through activities that are considered positive, but must be based on what gives happiness to yourself.
Now Sulis and Ahmad feel better about his life. They realize that seeking the identity back is not a static condition, but rather a process that will continue to run. Sulis and Ahmad are convinced that although the challenges faced can be severe, they will continue to look for ways to develop as humans and achieve everything they want in their lives.
Sulis said, "Now I feel happier and more confident about who I really am."
Ahmad added, "Just like me. Every day we learn about ourselves and make better decisions for our lives."
Sulis nodded, "Rubber, it's not easy but the time spent searching for ourselves is precious."
Ahmad chimed in, "Just right, because in the end, what we achieve in our lives is about who we are and what we do to improve the world."
Sulis praised Ahmad, "It's great to have a friend like you, who has always supported me and helped me through all the struggles."
Ahmad smiled, "I'm always happy to help you, Sulis. We can be an inspiration to others that seeking identity is important and useful."
Sulis added, "We must continue to fight and benefit others, so that we can feel meaningful in our lives."
Ahmad smiled, "That's right, Sulis. We must always seek and take opportunities to make the world a better place."
In spirit, Sulis and Ahmad continue on their journey of life opening new pages for a deeper and meaningful search for identity.
While they were walking in the park, Sulis showed Ahmad a book on psychology and self-identity. "I love reading books like this, because it helps me understand myself" Sulis said.
They sat on a park bench and discussed the book. Sulis explains his views on identity and how he tries to figure out who he really is.
Ahmad said, "I also find it difficult sometimes, especially when you feel pressure from the environment and their expectations of you. But, I learned the importance of understanding myself and being a person who conforms to my values and desires."
Sulis chimed in, "Rubber, we need to prioritize what we want and not be influenced by the opinions of others. But, we also need to learn from life experiences and circumstances that might change the way we view ourselves."
Ahmad nodded in agreement, "Yes, we must be flexible and open to changes in life. It helps us grow and develop."
Sulis smiled, "It seems we have the same vision of self-seeking. Let us continue to learn and find out, while together providing benefits for others."
Ahmad smiled, "Agree once, Sulis. We can be examples and inspirations for others to discover themselves."
With renewed vigor, Sulis and Ahmad continue on their journey to discover who they really are.
They provide an opportunity for themselves to explore their interests and talents. Sulis began by studying the art of painting, while Ahmad chose to play the cello.
As they begin their respective hobbies, they also learn about themselves further. Sulis realized that he loved to produce works of art that expressed his emotions, whereas Ahmad found that he could communicate through music better than through words.
When they talked about their self-improvement, Sulis said, "I feel now I know myself better. I know what I want and know how to achieve it."
Ahmad replied, "I feel the same way. I feel more confident about my abilities and I know where I want to take my life."
As they continue on their journey of life, they remain open to learning and finding out who they really are. They grow and develop together, with a stronger determination to pursue their ideals and find happiness in life.
Sulis added, "As we seek our identity, we also learn about our shortcomings and strengths. We can find ways to improve ourselves and become better people."
Ahmad agreed, "And when we become better selves, we can also have a positive impact on our environment. Who knows, maybe we can be an inspiration to others who are looking for their identity as well."
The two of them smiled and raised their coffee cups while saying, "For the quest for eternal identity!" A simple, yet meaningful moment for them.
The search for self never stops. However, this process can lead us to the path of true happiness and life satisfaction. Like Sulis and Ahmad, we can discover our talents and interests, design our life goals, and be a better self every day.

Sulis narrowed his eyes and said, "But even so, sometimes the search for identity can make us feel lonely or confused. How do I handle it?"
Ahmad replied, "Hmm, I think the most important thing is that we have to dare to ask. Ask yourself questions, ask your friends or loved ones, or even seek professional help if needed. There is nothing wrong with asking for help or finding support from others."
Sulis agreed, "It's fine. We do not have to walk alone in our search for our identity. Sometimes, a friend or family member can give you a new perspective or valuable advice. And if we need more help, there's nothing wrong with asking a psychologist or counselor for help."
Ahmad laughed, "But one thing is certain, we must remain open to ourselves and others. Do not be afraid to seek our identity, to seek answers to our questions. Who knows, we can find true happiness and purpose."
Sulis and Ahmad nodded and smiled at each other. They both have found the importance of the search for identity, that although difficult, but very useful and valuable for our lives.
