Chapter 43: Love Leads the Steps

Sulis sat in the garden looking at the trees swaying gently in the wind. He let out a heavy sigh, remembering the events of a few days ago when he and Ahmad watched the sunset together on the beach. Sulis felt such great happiness back then, as all his dreams and hopes gathered together into one.

Suddenly, Sulis felt someone standing behind him. He turned his head and smiled looking at Ahmad who came with a big smile. "Write, what are you thinking?" ahmad asked while sitting next to him.

Sulis looked at Ahmad with warmth. "I'm reminded of the time we were together enjoying the sunset on the beach. It felt so beautiful, I felt so happy then."

Ahmad looked at Sulis eyes with love. "I feel the same way, Sulis. We've been through a lot together, and I never thought that our story would be this special."

Sulis smiled and held Ahmad's hand tightly. "You know, Ahmad, being with you is like opening up a hidden sheet of hopes and dreams inside of me. I feel so alive and full of spirit when you're next to me."

Ahmad tightened his hand. "Write, I feel the same way. I've never found someone who makes me feel so complete as you do. My life feels meaningful and full of happiness when I can always be with you."

Sulis' eyes sparkled with love. He felt lucky to have someone like Ahmad in his life. "Ahmad, you know I love you with all my heart, right? I want to go hand in hand with you, live this life together."

Ahmad smiled gently and pinched Sulis' cheek gently. "Of course, Sulis. I love you too. We will live every step of life together. I promise I will always be by your side, strengthening and loving you all our lives."

Sulis felt his heart flowered to hear Ahmad's promise. They spend time in the park letting their love embrace each other, leading their steps toward the future they long for.

In togetherness and a sense of filling each other, Sulis and Ahmad realized that they found true hope in the love they shared. They are ready to face all the obstacles and wonders they have passed, finding their beautiful destiny in the journey of life guided by love.

Sulis sat on the porch of his lonely home. His heart still felt heavy after reading a letter from Ahmad. Ahmad, a man he had known for a long time and had a special feeling in his heart. Sulis looked up at the sky, hoping for a clear answer there. At that moment, Sulis saw the figure of Ahmad walking closer to him.

Ahmad: (with a smile) Assalamualaikum, Sulis. Is there time to talk?

Scroll: Waalaikumsalam, Ahmad. Sure, sit. What is there you want to talk about?

Ahmad sat next to Sulis. There was doubt in his eyes, but he kept trying to be calm.

Ahmad: Sulis, I want to talk about the letter I sent you.

Sulis: (silent for a moment) Yes, your letter was. I was surprised to read it. I never thought you would have such feelings.

Ahmad: I'm sorry, Sulis. I know this may be very sudden for you, but all this time I've found it hard to hide it again. My heart has long been tethered to you.

Sulis: (smiling bitterly) Ahmad, you know for yourself that I am married and have a family. I love my husband, and I know I have to live this marriage faithfully.

Ahmad: (not understanding) I know, Sulis. I actually understand that better than anyone. I appreciate your decision, and I have no intention of ruining anything in your life.

Sulis: Then, why are you expressing this feeling of yours now? What do you want to accomplish with that letter?

Ahmad: Sulis, I want you to know how I feel. I want us to be honest and open our hearts, even though the course of destiny may not be what we expect. I want you to know that someone is looking at you with love.

Sulis: (fought to hold back tears) Ahmad, you tested my loyalty and my faith by expressing feelings like this. I know we've been best friends all along, but this is confusing me.

Sulis: (smiling trying to calm down) Ahmad, I appreciate your honesty. But life is so complicated, there are so many things we have to accept and so many responsibilities to take. What can we do now?

Ahmad: Sulis, I cannot ask for more than you can give. I just want to share this feeling with you. You mean so much to me, and I will always be there for you as a friend, even if I have to close this feeling in my heart.

Sulis: Thank you, Ahmad. You are a good friend. I hope we can figure out a way to keep our friendship going, even though fate takes us in a different direction.

Ahmad: Same, Sulis. I promise I will always be there for you, no matter what happens. Our friendship will still mean something to me.

In the silence of the dark night, Sulis and Ahmad looked at each other with understanding. Despite the many questions that hang in the air, they are aware that destiny may have written down their respective scenarios. However, there is one thing they will not deny, that their love and friendship have become a sheet of hope

Sulis was sitting in a park near her home, busy reading a book about her dreams for the future. It has been several weeks since he and Ahmad discussed their ideals and dreams. Sulis bit her lips vigorously as she looked at the image of a famous author in the book.

Ahmad, who had just returned from school, saw Sulis with the book and smiled. He sat down next to Sulis while glancing at the contents of the book he was looking at.

Ahmad: "What are you reading, Sulis?"

Sulis: "This book is about people who embody their dreams, Ahmad. I'd like to know more about how they go on life's journey to success."

Ahmad: "Sure, which one is the most interesting to you?"

Sulis: "O Allah, everything is interesting! But what struck me most was the story of a writer. He wrote novels that were so beautiful and appreciated by many people. I want to be a writer like him, Ahmad."

Ahmad: "It was an amazing dream, Sulis. I'm sure you can do it."

Sulis smiled at Ahmad's words. She felt lucky to have a friend like her who always supported her in every step of her life.

Sulis: "Thank you, Ahmad. You are an amazing friend to me. If someday I manage to realize my dream of becoming a famous writer like this one, I promise to remember your help."

Ahmad: "There is no need to promise anything, Sulis. I'm happy enough to see you trying to chase your dreams. I'm always there for you."

Sulis: "Do you also have a dream that you want to realize, Ahmad?"

Ahmad thought for a moment before answering Sulis' question. His eyes were glazed over, showing a deep desire within him.

Ahmad: "I want to be a doctor, Sulis. I want to help people who are sick and unable to get proper care. I want to change and save lives."

Sulis was moved to hear Ahmad's dream. He held Ahmad's hand tightly.

Sulis: "Your dream is also amazing, Ahmad. I believe you can be a great doctor someday. We're gonna pursue my dreams and yours together, okay?"

Ahmad: "By pleasure, Sulis. We're going to be an invincible team."

They both laughed happily, sharing their lofty dreams. In their hearts, Sulis and Ahmad are determined to support each other and help each other in every step of their life journey towards a bright future.
