Chapter 35: Destruction and Resurrection

Sulis looked at the chaotic surroundings. Buildings that used to be playgrounds and laughs no longer exist. All were shattered, burned to the ground by the blazing fire. Sulis felt desperate when he saw this situation. He was confused as to where to go and what to do after this destruction.

Suddenly, he heard a melodious voice from behind the rubble. "Sulis, where are you?" the voice of Ahmad. Sulis immediately approached the sound, trying to pass through the rubble and debris scattered around him.

When he found Ahmad, Sulis saw that his face was covered with wounds and blood. Ahmad smiled after seeing Sulis. "Finally we meet again" Ahmad said weakly.

"Brother, what should we do now? Everything seemed so broken" whispered Sulis with pain in his eyes.

Ahmad grabbed Sulis hand with love. "Sulis, even if all is destroyed, we still have each other. That is enough to continue to live and rebuild hope" Ahmad replied with confidence.

However, Sulis was still doubtful. "Are we able to rebuild everything? Everything we love is gone in an instant."

Ahmad smiled gently. "Maybe we can't rebuild everything the way it was, but we can create a new, more beautiful world. We can bond together, with people who suffer like us. Every ruin gives us an opportunity to build courage, fortitude, and compassion."

"I believe you, Ahmad. We will be able to build hope in the midst of this destruction" Sulis said with a firm determination.

Ahmad smiled happily to see the spirit of Sulis back on. "We'll be able to do it, Sulis. Together, we have infinite power."

They held hands and looked towards the setting sun, admiring the beauty of the sky that was still left amidst the rubble. A new leaf of hope begins for Sulis and Ahmad, filling a new chapter in their life journey.

Will they be able to rebuild hope in the midst of destruction? What will they encounter in this challenging journey? Only time can answer, because life never promises ease, but they know that with love and strength together, nothing is impossible to achieve.

While waiting for Aliya to fully recover in the hospital, Sulis and Ahmad sat together in the waiting room. They share stories about their journey so far.

Sulis: (looking far away) I still can't believe this is happening. My life was so simple and suddenly I was caught in a big problem like this.

Ahmad: Yes, life is often unexpected. But I'm sure, Sulis, you're a strong man. You know what's better for Aliya.

Sulis: (smiling weakly) Thank you, Ahmad. But, I feel like I have such a huge responsibility towards Aliya. I had to protect her, but I was also afraid to let her down.

Ahmad: Sulis, as a mother, you will always try your best for your child. I'm sure Aliya will understand everything you've done for her safety. But, there is no harm if you also need help from others.

Sally: I know. But, right now I feel sad and lonely. I miss Aliya's carefree voice, her spoiled cry. I had to let her go for a while so she could recover, but my heart was heavy.

Ahmad: Sulis, maybe now is the right time to take care of yourself. When we face difficult situations, we often forget that we also need time to recover. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Sulis: (tears wiped) I thank you for your support, Ahmad. I know you're here for me, and it gives me strength.

Ahmad: Of course, I will always be there for you. You are my best friend and we encourage each other.

They both smiled at each other. In the midst of this difficult situation, they find hope and reassurance in their friendship.

A few weeks later, Aliya recovered and returned home. Sulis and Ahmad were really keeping Aliya under their protection. They try to create a safe and happy environment for Aliya.

At nightfall, as Sulis read Aliya's diary, Aliya said, "Thank you, Mother. I'm happy to go home and be with you and Mr. Ahmad. I feel comfortable and safe with you."

Sulis smiled at Aliya, "We will always be there for you, dear. We will protect you with all your body and soul. You are the sheet of hope in our lives."

With great love and loyalty, Sulis and Ahmad continue their journey in guarding and protecting Aliya. They are determined to give Aliya a bright, loving, and hopeful future.
