Chapter 39: fortitude in the face of trials

Sulis and Ahmad sat in a beautiful garden, talking about their future filled with hope. They share their dreams and aspirations.

Sulis: Ahmad, I am very excited about our future. What do you think, what do we look like in the next few years?

Ahmad: Sulis, I feel the same. I hope we can achieve all our dreams and live a happy life together. I see us as a couple who support and complement each other.

Molly: I have big dreams too. I want to set up a foundation and help disadvantaged children. I believe that every child has tremendous potential, but they need support to realize their dreams.

Ahmad: Very good for the purpose, Sulis! I fully support you in that. I want to contribute to changing the lives of those less fortunate for the better. Maybe we can work together on this project.

Sulis: That would be a beautiful thing, Ahmad. We can give each other encouragement and inspiration to achieve our goals. I'm sure, if we try together, we can make a real difference in their lives.

Ahmad: Right, Sulis. We can also educate children about the importance of education and positive values. We can instill hope and motivate them to never give up in the face of life's challenges.

Sulis: I agree, Ahmad. Helping others gives deep meaning to our lives. This is an opportunity for us to give back to society and make this world a better place to live in.

Ahmad: Sulis, I am so grateful to have you in my life. We have similar visions and dreams, and it makes us stronger in our pursuit of our goals. Let's commit to supporting and inspiring each other.

Sulis: I feel the same, Ahmad. We are an inseparable team. With our love, hope and dedication, I am sure we will achieve all our dreams and bring positive change to many people.

Ahmad: I believe too, Sulis. We have a beautiful page of hope for our future. Together, we will realize our dreams and make a positive impact on others.

Sulis and Ahmad smiled at each other, feeling inspired and ready to pursue their dreams. Their passion and faith bring new rays of life in the novel "Sheets of Hope".

Sulis sat pensively on his porch, his empty eyes reflecting the burden of thought he felt. Ahmad, his friend who was visiting his house, saw the fatigue on Sulis' face.

Ahmad: (approaching Sulis) What are you thinking, Sulis? You look so worried.

Sulis: (surprised) Ahmad! I didn't realize you were here. Sorry, I'm in deep thought.

Ahmad: Don't say that, Sulis. I know something's stuck in your mind. It would be better if we talk about this matter.

Sulis: (looking at Ahmad with a curious face) How could you know? Something is happening, Ahmad. I feel desperate.

Ahmad: Tell me, Sulis. Just tell me what you're dealing with.

Sulis: (sighs) My father just lost his job. All this time he was the only backbone of the family. Now, our lives are on the verge of uncertainty. I'm very worried, Ahmad.

Ahmad: Sulis, I can understand your fear. But don't let that worry ruin your spirit. There are many ways to deal with this situation. Maybe we can find a temporary job for your father or seek help from the other side.

Sulis: (looking at Ahmad with an excited face) Really? You have a good idea, Ahmad. I could have this opportunity to move in search of a temporary job around this region. At least it could help our father and family to survive.

Ahmad: That's the spirit I admire, Sulis. Never give up in the face of temptation. We must be resilient and believe that adversity is only temporary. There is hope that always awaits behind these pages of life.

Sulis: Thank you, Ahmad. You can always give me a great spirit. This time, I will fight with my family and try to keep hope alive.

Ahmad: You are my best friend, Sulis. If there's anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask. We will face all these trials together.

Dialogue 2

Sulis: (seeing Ahmad coming with a smile on his face) Ahmad, I have good news!

Ahmad: What's the good news, Sulis? Tell me.

Sulis: My dad finally got a new job. He was accepted into a large company in the city. I'm so grateful!

Ahmad: Well, that's very exciting news! Congratulations to you and your family, Sulis. Your father is a man who deserves this opportunity.

Sulis: Yes, because of his patience and fortitude, there is finally a new spring flowing in the middle of our life journey. I still can't sleep peacefully, but at least we now have new hope.

Ahmad: I know how you feel, Sulis. But do not worry, with strong will and hard work, your life will improve. The bright days are coming.

Sulis: Thank you, Ahmad. You always give support and encouragement .

On that sunny day, Sulis sat by the beach, pondering about everything that had happened in his life. He felt like something was left behind, something he had yet to do, and it made him feel dissatisfied. Ahmad, his friend, came over.

Ahmad: Hi, Sulis. Why are you silent here yourself?

Sulis: Hi, Ahmad. I'm thinking about a lot of things. I feel like there's something I haven't accomplished, something I haven't done.

Ahmad: What makes you feel that way?

Sulis: I feel like I'm not brave enough to take risks and pursue my dreams. I often think twice and end up missing it. I am afraid of rejection and failure.

Ahmad: Sulis, you should know that everyone is afraid, including myself. It feels comfortable to be in the comfort zone, without having to face challenges and risks. But, if we continue to be there, we will not develop and achieve better.

Sulis: But what if I misstep and make a big mistake? I'm afraid I regret it.

Ahmad: Mistakes and regrets are part of life. But we have to dare to face it. If we never try, we will never know what we can achieve. Don't let fear rule you.

Sulis: But what if I fail?

Ahmad: If we don't try, we've failed from the beginning. If we dare to try and fail, that is what is called learning and growing. Mistakes are the best teachers in life. And you must remember, Sulis, that I will always be here, supporting you and helping you through every difficulty.

Sulis: Thank you, Ahmad. I am so lucky to have a friend like you. I realized that courage was the price I had to pay to get my dreams. I can't keep getting caught up in fear and regret.

Ahmad: That's it, Sulis! Come, we face together the challenges of life. With courage and determination, I believe we can achieve anything we want.

Sulis smiled, feeling a new spirit grow inside him. With Ahmad, he felt confident that he could step forward and face whatever challenged him.

Sulis: I'm ready, Ahmad. Let's start living our dreams!

Ahmad: Come, Sulis! We both reach for the sheet of our hope!
