Chapter 37: Second Chance

Sulis sat in the corner of the room, his eyes glued when the man in front of him had finished speaking. Ahmad, his best friend since childhood, had just given him a very meaningful suggestion. Sheets of hope were gathered on the table and Sulis was anxious about the life choices he had to make.

Sulis: (sighs) Ahmad, I don't know what to do. This whole thing is so hard for me.

Ahmad: (raised next to an eyebrow) Well, Sulis, tell me what is going on. Maybe I can give you another perspective that can help you.

Sulis: (biting his lips) I was faced with two choices that were equally important to me. I can continue my career in this office, which I know will give me financial comfort, or I can take risks and pursue my dream of becoming a writer.

Ahmad: (knitting his forehead) Being a writer is something you've been craving for a long time, Sulis. And I know you have a great talent in that field. Why don't you just switch to writing?

Sulis: (stare at Ahmad seriously) I am afraid, Ahmad. I'm afraid I'm going to fail. I'm afraid to see people think I'm just playing around in a world full of magic like writing. I'm afraid I can't achieve what I dream of.

Ahmad: (shaking his head) Sulis, there is nothing we can achieve without taking risks. Miracles, as you call them, do not come by themselves. You must dare to try, fight, and risk something. I'm sure, if you really wanted to, you could have conquered your own fears, Sulis.

Sulis: (remembering for a moment) What you said is true, Ahmad. I can't let myself down and just give up. I need to be brave and try. This second chance is so precious, Ahmad.

Ahmad: (smile full of support) Right, Sulis. You'll only regret the possibilities you didn't take. I know you can do it. Believe in yourself and never stop dreaming.

In Sulis heart grew courage, a new speck of hope emanated in his eyes. He knows this journey will not be easy, but he is ready to take risks and pursue his dream as a writer. Sulis smiled at Ahmad, feeling lucky to have a true friend who always gives support and motivation to him.

Sulis: Thank you, Ahmad. I know with your support, I can get through all these obstacles. I'm not giving up!

Ahmad: (smiling) That's a true friend, Sulis. Get ready, the writing world awaits you.

With a new spirit and a heart filled with hope, Sulis stepped forward. He was ready to face the challenge to realize the dream that had been tempestuous in his heart. And in the midst of Sulis' journey, Ahmad was ready to accompany him, providing support and courage at every step.

Sulis sat in front of the cafe table, stirring up a cup of warm coffee. He looked agitated and worried, having tried to contact Ahmad several times but received no reply.

"Why didn't Ahmad contact me? What could have kept him so busy?" murmured Sulis in the heart.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind him. "Write! Sorry, I'm late. There is an important business earlier," said Ahmad while sitting opposite him.

Sulis smiled with relief at Ahmad. "Just now I'm worried you're drowning in your busy world. What's the matter exactly?"

Ahmad looked at Sulis with a face full of regret. "Sorry, Sulis. I'm in a tough time at work. There are many responsibilities that I have to bear," he said, rubbing his forehead gently.

Ahmad's face turned serious. "Sulis, I'm so sorry I made you feel that way. You know, how important you are to me? I need you as a place to share the joys and sorrows in this life. I'm sorry."

Sulis nodded slowly. "I forgive you, Ahmad. But, as a couple, we have to support each other and communicate well. Never hesitate to tell me, we face life together."

Ahmad looked at Sulis with a gaze full of love and gratitude. "Thank you, Sulis. I'm grateful to have you."

Sulis smiled and held Ahmad's hand tightly. They again feel the warmth of their relationship, building a new sheet of hope together.

They continued their conversation, sharing stories of what happened as long as they did not meet. Although Ahmad is still busy with his work, they plan to set a special time to share and enjoy their togetherness.

In their journey, Sulis and Ahmad realized that open and mutually supportive communication was the key to strengthening their bond. They promise to understand each other and always be with each other at every step of life.

Their wish sheet is even more brightly colored, because the two hearts that intertwine have the determination to always be a supporter of each other.

Sulis and Ahmad sat in a quiet garden, watching the sun set behind the horizon. The air is getting colder, but they are still fascinated by the natural beauty that adorns this sheet of hope.

Sulis: (smiling) Who would have thought, we can go back to this place, Ahmad. It was like a dream come true.

Ahmad: (smiling too) Right, Sulis. To be honest, I never expected to see your smile again after everything that happened.

Sulis: I did too, Ahmad. But it turns out that destiny says something else. We are both given the opportunity to correct all the mistakes that have happened.

Ahmad: This is the greatest gift we can receive. I've long realized how important you are in my life. Mother also supported my decision to improve our relationship.

Sulis: (haru) Thank you, Ahmad. I have been waiting for those words for a long time. I have also learned a lot from the experiences that haunt us. I wish we could be better together.

Ahmad: (holding the hand of Sulis) Sulis, I promise I will try hard so that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. I will always be there for you, to support and protect you.

Sulis: (looking into his eyes with confidence) I also promise to give the best in our relationship. We can face all the obstacles together.

They both felt a long warmth they did not feel. The new hope sheet they build with sincerity and understanding, gives them the strength to live their love story better.

This chapter ends with happiness emanating from the faces of Sulis and Ahmad. They hugged each other tightly, sensing that they had something precious and priceless. Together, they are ready to continue their journey of life with more enthusiasm and optimism.
