Evelyn's Regret

Extra Part 3

Evelyn gasped as she felt a hug twisting her body along with kisses in the hair that spread to her ears to her cheeks. A smile spread across his lips as he realized the scent of the body he was once familiar with.

"Mas, why are you home?" Evelyn's eyes sparkled as she flipped her body looking at the husband.

"Yes, I told you there was only meeting until lunch. After that I went straight home" Noah did not want the incident back then repeated. He spends more time and works at home unless there is an affair that requires him to go to the office. Moreover, the content of Evelyn is getting bigger and will be born in a few weeks.

"Yes I forgot" Evelyn chuckled.

"What are you doing? you should just rest in the room" When Noah went home directly to the room but did not find the wife, he was busy in the kitchen.

"I'm tired of mas, Cilla happens to want more Cheese cake so I make." actually Eve did not do it herself earlier accompanied by a housekeeper who is now doing other work because it is just waiting for the cake to mature.

"Should buy it. Look at you sweating" Noah wiped the sweat off Eve's forehead.

"So assisted by mbak kok mas. Want to eat now? yuk I'm with you" Eve pulls Noah's hand towards the dining table.

"I called Cilla for a while mas" But Eve's steps stopped because Noah held her back.

"I was the one who called. You sit down first, you have too much activity today" said Noah, not wanting Eve to get tired.

"My village has entered 9 months, it has to move a lot so that the flow is easy" said Eve but she still obeyed her husband to sit and wait when Noah called Cilla.

"Is that really so?"

"Yes, I forgot the doctor ever said that?"

"Yes I forgot, I just remember the doctor advising me to do husband and wife often to open the birth canal" Noah grinned at the change in the look on Evelyn's face that rolled his eyes lazily.

"Those turns are always remembered" Evelyn smiled wryly, while Noah chuckled and kissed Evelyn's face with anxiety.

"For Eve's sake, it's better to kill me than to see you in pain like this" Noah said in a trembling voice as he watched his wife in pain feel her contractions. Her eyes were already foggy, Evelyn's moans tore her heart apart.

"This is very sick" complained Eve, at a time like this she remembered the mother who was gone. He felt very longed for and wanted his existence here.

"Operation only, huh? follow me this time, baby I beg you" whispered Noah. He couldn't see his wife in so much pain. If it wasn't for Eve needing her maybe she'd already run as far as possible because seeing Eve like this so hurt her heart.

"No way, I want to feel what your mom and mom feel when you give birth to us." Eve remained on her stance to give birth normally, so far according to doctors there is no abnormality or disorder of any kind that requires Evelyn to give birth by cesarean section.

"But baby, I can't see you in pain. I'm like a criminal who let my wife suffer for so long" Noah wanted to yell out, hoping Evelyn understood her anxiety.

"I don't want anything to happen to you Eve, I'm going crazy. You are in pain dear" Evelyn was moved but wanted to laugh at the same time seeing Noah grimacing even shed his tears.

"Awhile? you've been in pain for almost 5 hours, baby, and you said a minute. Understand Eve, I've had trouble breathing, I can't wait anymore" Shahira gave birth to Cilla Caesar, so she didn't feel the fear she felt now

Eve paid no heed to Noah's scolding, she was trying to endure the incomparable pain. The pain is more frequent and felt many times than before.

"Call the doctor, maybe now is the time" said Eve while trying to regulate her breathing.

"So you still want to give birth normally?"

"Mas is not the time to discuss now. Call the doctor I can't stand it" said Eve, who made Noah immediately go call the doctor without asking his wife any more.

After the doctor came and examined Eve, the doctor ordered her nurse to prepare because her opening was complete.

"Do your best, save my wife and child, don't let him endure his pain for too long" Noah said in a panic. He immediately clasped Eve's hand and kissed her on the forehead.

"Yes, sir, take it easy, we will try our best" the woman's doctor said kindly. Of course Noah will not let the male doctor who handles the wife, only he is a man who can see his wife's body parts.

"The spirit is dear, if not strong we just operate. Don't push yourself okay?I love you please don't forget that" Noah whispered in Evelyn's ear, the woman just nodding, her focus already split on the contractions that made her stomach so hearty and twisted.

Evelyn began to follow the instructions of the doctor who asked her to start pushing, she tried her best. Eve squeezed Noah's hand so hard while pressing her strength to push.

"Darling I love you" Noah repeatedly whispers his words of love, hoping to become a force for his wife who is struggling between life and death.

"Please don't leave me, hold on you and our baby should be safe, me and Cilla need you the most. Don't even think about leaving me. I love you" Noah whispered every time Evelyn pushed. He could not hide his panic and fear.

His tears could not bear, well the man cried to see the sacrifice of his wife to bring the baby into the world that could have taken his life.

"I'm so sorry I'm not strong anymore. Doctor please speed up, how much longer should I see my wife like this" Noah cried out in despair.

"Please sir, everything will be fine. There is no need to worry that the mother and baby are strong and healthy. We can certainly get through this well" said the doctor who handled Eve patiently.

"Shut up for a while mas, don't disturb my concentration and the doctor's" Eve said gasping for air as the doctor asked her to rest for a while.

Noah would interrupt Eve's speech but was undo when he felt Eve squeezing her hand back firmly and straining again, then a moment later came the cry of the baby and a sigh of relief from all those in the maternity room.

"My son was born? oh my dear Eve thank God you saved my Eve" Noah immediately kissed Evelyn's tearful face. The woman was unable to cover up her sense of smell when she heard the first cry of her baby.

"Happy baby boy you are so handsome" said the doctor as he put his baby to Eve's chest to initiate early breastfeeding.
