Evelyn's Regret

The Nineteen

Evelyn continued to cry for the body of the father who was stiffened, the girl did not expect a big storm to hit her when she herself was fragile due to Noah's departure from her side. The mother was still silent with a sorrow so thick enveloped, that Evelyn did not reach the heart to ask the cause of all this suffering.

"Papa, why do you believe that you leave Eve and mama in this world, what if Eve and mama are not strong to live without papa?" Eve whispered in the ear of the man she loved so much, Everything is still like a dream. He did not expect that gallant body was now losing power. The man left without a good-bye.

Eve was increasingly desperate to see her mother who was only fixated on staring at her dead father with tears flowing down her cheeks. The woman was like losing a soul, as if going with the last breath of her life companion.

"According to Ve's grief, pray for your father. You are strong because God gave you this ordeal" Aira's newly arrived whisper with his friends upon hearing the news of Evelyn's death.

"Come away Ra, I still have a hard time digesting what is happening to me. I still can't feel how my life will go forward without papa and without Noah." Aira rubbed Eve's weeping shoulder in her arms. He could feel the sadness that was afflicting Evelyn, a year ago he also lost his papa. the heaviest loss so he seemed to have no place on foot.

"You're strong Ve, don't despair." Aira's hand still faithfully rubbed Eve's back which was still in shock with such a sudden loss. All so sudden, this morning they were still having breakfast together with the warm atmosphere as usual. There was not the slightest sign that showed his father was ill. Eve did not expect the smile she saw this morning was the last smile the father gave her.

"We will always be there for you Ve. Don'worry. Don't hesitate to contact when you need anything" Not just comfort, Evelyn was able to realize that there was sincerity in Darrel's eyes when he said.

Eve's tears shed more and more, at a time like this Eve is grateful there are still friends who provide support. At least he didn't lose it all. Evelyn's heart again throbbed pain, if Noah was here he was sure Noah would stand at the front to support all his grief.

The most painful moment finally arrived, though unwilling but the body had to be laid down in his final contest, there was nothing that Eve could do but make a sincere effort when her proud figure had to be landfilled, he said, Eve felt unbearable to see the body had to lie alone in silence.

After the funeral was over, Evelyn returned home with an increasingly empty heart, almost her entire soul as if no longer in her body. It was losing its direction.

Seeing her frail-looking mother increasingly made her feel an unbearable pain. When Papa Eve was about to be buried the woman screamed hysterically, she unwillingly had to be separated from the man who had accompanied her for decades. Unable to bear the suffering finally made Evelyn's mother faint many times.

Evelyn had to try hard at her weakest point, if her mother was not this broken she wanted it to feel like Eve was spilling all the pain in her heart, complaining and crying in her arms. But the condition of the mother forced him to throw away his weak side, he had to rise to become the support of the mother even though he himself was limp and very fragile.

"Strong mom Eve please, papa is sad to see you like this. Ikhlasin papa ma" Eve felt the most hypocritical human being when saying words that she was not yet able to do.

"Mama is not strong, mama can not live without papa. Mama wants to come with papa"

The woman complained, her eyes so dim and dark.

"Keep Eve who would you like to go too? why don't you think Eve? Does Eve mean nothing to Mama?" Evelyn said while sobbing, she also wanted to be calmed down, she needed to be strengthened. It's really not easy for him.

"Sorry dear mother, sorry" for a moment he felt the most suffering, forgetting that he was not alone, there was Eve who was also not less lost as she was.

It turns out the storm is not over, the death of the father is only the beginning. Evelyn must again accept the blow that was also the cause of the departure of the first man in her life.

All is answered now, the father had a heart attack after he was found guilty of embezzlement of funds which resulted in substantial losses to the company.

Evelyn refused to believe, she firmly believed her father was an honest man. There's no way that guy took what wasn't his right. He believes all is vile slander from irresponsible people. But as hard as Eve and her mother defended, they were unable to refute the evidence at the hands of the company. Eve could only pray that one day everything would be revealed. He did not want the precious soul to go with the vile accusations embedded.

Just a week after his father's departure, his home, boutique and other assets had to be confiscated to cover the company's losses. Although the company did not offer its condolences, the two women who were still saddened by the death of their loved ones had to be driven away from the place that housed them. Everything ended without rest.

"What do we do?" Said Eve lirih. They stared at the house that had now been forbidden for them to climb.

"We're looking for lodging first son, tomorrow we're looking for a contract" The fragile woman now looks stronger, at least Eve needs to be protected. He believes everything will get better again.

"Does mom have money?" Eve's question made the woman bitter.

"So son, there are some jewelry mama also who managed to be saved" The woman smiled even though it was real to see the smile was so forced. Just to get rid of the worry on his daughter's face.

They carry suitcases filled with clothes, with money and jewelry at their disposal, both having to plan ahead to move on with the changing conditions.

Evelyn smiled bitterly, not expecting to have to face such a heavy problem. If there was Noah, he probably wouldn't feel this way. The man would do anything to make his smile never fade. But all just wishful thinking, Noah has gone to carry the wound he gave.

Eve never imagined her life would be ruined and chaotic. Regret over Noah's departure had just begun, his heart wound widened with the departure of his papa, and now in an instant he lost the property they had.

"We can definitely get through this, son" The mama rubbed Evelyn's shoulders fondly, despite losing so much at least they still had each other.
