Evelyn's Regret

Twenty Six

Evelyn turned her head to hear her name called, especially the voice that called her was very familiar.

"Hey brother why are you here?" Evelyn smiled wryly. The man looked sadly at Evelyn, his lips so hard to speak. His voice was stuck in his throat.

"Mama, there's Brother Noah. Mama used to talk about Brother Noah, right? here he comes" said Eve weakly, she was a little desperate as the mother remained silent. Her brain continues to force Eve to realize that her mother will never wake up again.

"Mama, wake up baby. You can't leave Eve alone, right?" This time Eve began to shake her mother's body. Tears are no longer able to hold.

"Eve please don't be like this. Realize that your mother is calm. He will be sad if you are like this" Noah said softly, he will touch Eve's shoulders but he paled when he remembered there was a Shahira waiting for him outside.

"Mama can't leave me here alone. Papa why should you pick up mama so soon" Noah was stunned to hear Evelyn's complaints, too much about Evelyn who missed for 2 years because Noah closed all the things about the girl, he didn't think Papa Eve was dead.

Still clinging to Noah's memory was the man's friendly smile. And now that the good man had died, he could imagine how dark Eve's life was today. There were so many questions Noah wanted to ask but the man chose to keep it to himself.

"Come Eve, pity your mama. We have to take care of his corpse" Eve gasped at Noah's words, she did not want the mother called the corpse.

"Mama's just sleeping sister, please don't just talk" Eve's lips kept trying to disavow even though her brain had confirmed all this.

"Eve, don't be selfish. Do not block your mama's path, Ikhlaskan if you love him" insisted Noah, although not the heart but Eve can not continue like this.

"Mom why should I go, why leave Eve. Mama knows only mama Eve has. Why did mom follow Eve too." Finally the scream came out of the girl's lips. He wanted to be angry at the life path outlined for him. He cannot carry this burden alone. If at the time of losing his father Eve still has a mother as a reinforcement, this time Eve's backrest went. He felt completely lost his direction.

Noah is forced to hold Eve who continues to shake her mother's body, Evelyn's roaring scream makes Noah can not hold back anymore. He grabbed the girl's body firmly.

"Please Eve, strong and strong. Pray for your mother to calm down. You can't stop the creator from taking his property back" Noah whispered, hoping Evelyn could control him. He knew it wasn't easy for a girl of Evelyn's age.

"Please brother, I'll catch up with mama. I have to go with mom and dad. I don't want to be left alone here. Eve is afraid ma, Eve please take Eve with mom. We meet papa together and don't stay in Eve alone" Eve's voice weakens as the girl's body loses energy. His eyes closed, Evelyn did not bear the sadness until finally the girl lost her consciousness.

Eve still hugged the red earth where her mother had been lying to meet her true love. The tears on Evelyn's face continued to flow with a roaring groan over the loss she had experienced.

Noah and Shahira looked sadly at Eve who was so devastated. But the two do not want to disturb Eve, they just watch for Eve not to do things that harm herself.

'Eve had to how ma' Heart Eve kept asking why she was left alone in this world.

Earlier this morning he was so surprised when he woke up the clock had pointed to the number 7. He hurriedly got up and took a shower. While combing her hair with her sweet smile, she walked into Eve's room with breakfast on her plate.

"Why don't you wake up Eve?" He was still focusing on combing his hair. He stared in wonder at his mother who brought the spoon filled with food to her mouth.

"Eat first baby, while preparing mama's bribe." Though distraught Eve complied, she opened her mouth and accepted a feed of food from her mother.

"I'm sorry you didn't wake you up, Mom deliberately let you not go to work. Mama wants to be with you today." Say to your mother with a guilty face.

"Later ya ma, if Eve already got a new job Eve will spend all day with mom. For now Eve can not permit later Eve did not receive a salary even though Eve wants to pay the house." Eve said softly, she opened her mouth again to receive the food her mother gave her.

"Yes, I'm sorry my selfish mommy son"

"No, my mom is not selfish. Mama's the best mama in the world" Her mother smiled at Evelyn's praise.

Eve remembers the last memories with her mother. He should have obeyed the woman's last request, Eve should not have to leave when she saw her mother was so heavy to let go. He should not care about being fired as long as he can fulfill the simple wishes of his mother. A kiss on the face and a close hug should stop Eve from leaving the woman.

"Be careful, baby, take care of yourself. You must be happy huh" His mama's message that only he answered with a nod because he was already really late.

If he were a little more sensitive, maybe his mama is still alive today.

'I'm sorry Evelyn ma' The girl was so hurt, her chest felt tight. Why his life had to be lost. The departure of his mother adds to the length of a row of regrets in his life. If he had been more sensitive, his mother wouldn't have left so soon.

The day had gone by dusk, Eve was still at home hugging the headstone of the woman who had given birth to her.

"Convince Eve mas, it will soon be dark" whispered Syahira.

"You're Syahira" Noah realized he couldn't do that. He did not want to hurt Syahira even though the woman allowed him. Syahira is his wife and Evelyn is his ex-girlfriend. He was sure though there would be little pain in Syahira's heart if he persuaded Eve. He should be able to hold his own heart, his status had now been different. Although he wanted to pull Evelyn in his arms to reduce the burden and wounds Evelyn but he was a married man who could not casually hug other women even in a state of grief.

Syahira nodded, knowing Noah would not be able to be denied. He understood Noah very much and always wanted to keep his feelings.

"Eve's night, we go home. Tomorrow come here again" the soft voice of Shahira made Evelyn unable to resist.

"Eve come home ma, tomorrow Eve come here again" Eve kissed her mother's headstone. Although not willing he should not be selfish to stay here. He knew Noah and his wife couldn't possibly leave him alone.
