Evelyn's Regret

Evelyn's Regret
Sixty Eight

Aira was stunned staring at her reflection in the mirror, she felt so beautiful today.

"You are indeed beautiful Ra, plus your pregnancy makes your beauty even more" said Evelyn who seemed to know the contents of her best friend's heart. Well after 5 days from Aira telling Darrel about her pregnancy today is the day that she and Darrel will start their story.

"Tell Eve, is Darrel gonna like it?"

"Of course, if Darrel doesn't like it we should take him to the ophthalmologist to check his eyes" Eve replied, a big smile rising from the lips of the girl who was in the white kebaya.

"Eve, I didn't expect to marry Darrel. Married the man who still had another woman in his heart" Remembering that made Aira come back lethargic.

"You've been thinking too much about your own opinions. Have you ever asked Darrel how he felt?" This time Evelyn looked seriously at Aira.

"I don't dare Eve, but just imagine that she and Tara have been in a relationship for so long. They just broke up, not even for two months. Do you think Darrel's forgotten about it? while you yourself for years can't forget Noah and instead I'm afraid Darrel will be like that" Eve smiled gently, holding both of Aira's shoulders.

"Don't look at my story and Noah Aira's, the story is different. My relationship with Noah ended not because of betrayal. I still have love for Noah because he deserves to be loved. Her sacrifice for me was so great, she was willing to break her heart just so I could be happy. While Tara? is he that special to be loved by Darrel so deeply?" Aira seemed to be thinking of trying to accept every single speech Evelyn made.

"Have not thought too much, rest assured Darrel must love you. There was no reason not to love the woman who was carrying her child" Evelyn rubbed Aira's shoulders to calm the girl down.

Not long after, Aira's mother and Darrel's mother called the girl to leave the room immediately. Aira walked towards the wedding vows with Evelyn by her side, the two beautiful women walking over in awe.

Aira stared at Darrel who looked smiling looking at her, Aira's heart beating increasingly erratic.

Behind Darrel, a man who was none other than Noah was also stunned to admire the beauty of a woman. Of course his eyes were not on Aira but on the woman next to him who was no less beautiful than the bride.

Evelyn was secretly proud, because from a long time ago in every condition Noah's eyes were always only on him.

Evelyn could not help but smile as Noah secretly teased her by throwing a long-distance kiss.

Aira arrived in front of the ruler, after delivering Aira Evelyn walking towards the seat for her next to Noah.

"Why my bride is always glowing, I don't like to see so many eyes staring in awe at my wife" Noah whispered, which made Evelyn smile again amusedly

"They looked at Aira mas, not me" Evelyn replied.

"I'm sure once they look at you baby, I can't wait to take you home, lock you up in a room just for myself" Noah whispered.

"Your moon is over, right? even though when you practice your lessons so satisfying still I miss the main menu so much" Evelyn's face flushed red, Noah could discuss it in the sacred moment of his best friend who will soon begin.

The two of them were silent as the event began, Darrel's firm voice reciting his promise to Aira splitting the silence.

A pair of plump-eyed furry eyes let out a clear circle, a sense of haru filled his heart. She has been married by the man she loves, in her heart she hopes that the man's love will slowly grow for her, becoming the building blocks of the story they have just begun.

Aira kissed Darrel's hand solemnly, her heart beating back strongly as she felt a warm kiss on her forehead. Her best friend has now officially become her husband.

The event was sacred even though simple, only the family and closest friends they invited.

Aira flinched from her daydreams as Darrel approached her at the dressing table.

"It's hard?" Carefully Darrel helps Aira remove the decoration on the head of the woman who was already his wife a few hours ago.

"Still on the Rail" said Aira when all the decorations on his head had been removed, as well as his necklace and earrings.

Darrel turns Aira's chair to face her, Aira can see Darrel is now wearing only pants and a short t-shirt. The man lowered his head to align his body to Aira.

"You tired? you take a shower first after that break" Darrel said as he rubbed Aira's stomach. Darrel's words were so soft, yet so sharp that they cut down Aira's heart. Darrel married her only to their baby. The man didn't want her, ah what did he expect exactly? Does he expect Darrel to take him through the first night like any other bride? Aira smiled bitterly. He just nodded and went to the bathroom, cleaning himself hoping to clean his heart.

Just 15 minutes for Aira to clean up, she immediately climbed into the bed to rest while Darrel took turns to go into the bathroom.

Aira stared at the beautifully decorated bridal room, too bad she could not feel the beauty of the night that many couples were waiting for. Too late in his daydreams makes Aira not realize Darrel who has finished cleaning himself, the man climbed his bed wiping Aira's hair.

"Why not sleep?" Darrel's heavy voice broke the girl's daydream, he smiled faintly.

"Rho? why do you look sad? you're not happy being my wife?" Darrel asked with still rubbing Aira's hair.

"No Rel, I'm not sad." Aira smiled sweetly at Darrel, trying to disguise her heartbreak.

"You're tired of not Ra?" Darrel asked with eyes looking deeply at Aira.

"Not really, just plain"

"Then is it possible?" Darrel's voice was heavy with a misty look. Aira frowned.

"You mean Rail?"

"Tonight is the night of our bride Ra, though not the first but can we pass this night by right? I tried to restrain myself for fear that you were tired, but if I may" Aira's face flushed red, the sadness that enveloped her heart just disappeared. Can he hope that this is a good start for their relationship going forward? doesn't this mean Darrel wants to have a real marriage?

"Can't Ra?" Darrel's voice sounded worried. Aira raised her face and smiled while nodding her head. Darrel's eyes sparkled happily.

"Thank you Ra" whispered Darrel, he brought his face closer to Aira's face until a moment later his lips were fused to his wife's lips. He had already felt the body of Aira, how could he miss this night just like that the girl had legitimately become his wife.
