Evelyn's Regret

Fourteen.

One month passes and Noah completely frees Evelyn with his friends. He took the time to complete his script.

Evelyn could only spend time with him once in a while. He seems happier with his friends than he is with him, and Noah begins to accept that.

"Honey, big brother's schedule for the thesis trial in 3 days. Can you please, sister, right?"

Today she is with Evelyn. The girl asked for company to buy a book because Aira and her other friends were having their own business. If not, Eve would not have invited herself.

"Where's the abbis going?"

Evelyn plugged in her phone after the call with Mona ended.

"Why is Mona?"

"They're sure I'm doing my job with my brother. So I'll take a taxi"

Evelyn's casual speech made Noah frown.

"Why take a taxi? You can take your brother, baby"

Evelyn doesn't want Noah to know that she's going to Darrel's apartment. Eve chose to take a taxi.

"I'm afraid brother is angry. Because they're doing their job in Darrel's apartment"

Noah's heart was pierced. She did not expect Evelyn to act like this.

"You're more comfortable taking a taxi is okay Ve" Frankly Noah was more disappointed, many things Evelyn did that hurt her heart. He lost the old Evelyn.

Noah just nodded, he lost interest in just saying 'Yes'.

After getting the book that Evelyn needs both of them walking outside, Noah calls Eve a taxi after her he heads to her car to get home.

Noah walked out of the courtroom with a glowing face. He managed to maintain his script and get satisfactory grades.

Evelyn greeted Noah with a bouquet of flowers in her hand.

"Congratulations, big brother"

Evelyn said while giving flowers to Noah.

"Yes, thank you very much you can make time for your sister"

Noah lands a kiss on Evelyn's forehead.

"Yes sister, I think I should be there for big brother's moment" Noah smiled happily at Evelyn's words. It felt like for so long Noah had not heard such sweet words from his lover's lips.

"Now we have lunch, all celebrating the success of our brother today"

Noah clasped Evelyn's hand and pulled her away in excitement.

Evelyn smiled wrongly. There was an uncomfortable look on that face.

Noah did not expect for the 4 years they had passed so lightly those words were spoken from his lover's lips.

"You're really uncomfortable with big brother? So for these 4 years you've been feeling tormented Ve? There is no happiness at all"

"Lying if I say not happy, brother. But I also felt tormented by my brother's possessiveness all this time. Honestly for 4 months I feel like I'm getting my life back." Noah looked disappointed at Eve, He did not expect the amount of love he had was unable to make the girl happy.

I'll let you enjoy your happiness without me Eve. Enjoy your freedom without my interruption. Sorry for your precious time that I've taken for 4 years Eve"

If his way of loving all this time what he thought was a proof of how much love Noah had for the girl turned out to torture Evelyn, then this time Noah had to give proof of love in another form. Let go of it for the happiness of the girl he loves. Even if it means killing his heart slowly.

Evelyn could not be like this continuously, Noah had to save her pride as a man that Evelyn had trampled on a while ago.
