Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
The Corresponding Enemy

Siti looks rushed to tidy up her work clothes. Today he forgot to activate the alarm so wake up late and it's almost too late. Ailey who was ready to stand guard at the store could only see it while occasionally tidying up the electronic equipment in the storefront.

“Ailey, please get my hair tie!” Siti looked panicked.

“This! One more minute the store opens, you know.” Said Ailey while handing over the hairband to Siti.

“Yes, I know! Duh, really so I'm like a new kid, yes.” Reply Siti while dangling her hair.

At exactly 10am Abram City Mall is open to visitors. With gasrak-gusruk, Siti turns on the computer at the cashier table while Ailey prepares in front of the store to welcome the visitors who come. That morning the mall visitors are not too crowded, usually the crowd will appear at 12 noon where office employees around the area come to look around all lunch. While looking around, Ailey was on guard if at any time there were visitors coming.

From a distance, the arrogant CEO and chief of operations approached. They both walked side by side, looking harmonious. It seemed like since both of them had bad auras, the two people looked harmonious and suited each other. Ailey, who was preparing to welcome the danger, bowed to show false respect.

“Oh, the new boy. Do not bend too long, pity your work clothes will be tangled.” Lina said sounding cynical.

“So you recruited him? What do you see of this woman, Lin?” Ask Kevin.

Lina smiled spoiledly, it seemed like she was putting her heart on that CEO, “Well, there are actually no other candidates who can be hired as soon as possible. Want not. After all pity also when he found out that he was unemployed.”

Ailey re-strengthened her body. With a fed up look, he launched his protest. “Jaga your greeting! You have absolutely no right to treat me like this.”

Kevin was stunned to hear Ailey's response. All this time, no one had dared to be with Lina. Lina has always been the only woman in Abram who is most feared by all employees. In fact, Kevin's class CEO was reluctant to him and often asked for advice from him.

“What did you say? How dare a lowly employee like you speak disrespectfully to me!” Lina Tegur.

“Hey, stop! No need to respond, don't give him the stage!” Kevin said.

Soon after, the two of them passed from before Ailey. While occasionally looking back, Kevin noticed Ailey who was standing in front of the store. There seemed to be a curiousity that lingered in Kevin's head towards the brave woman.

“You all right, Ailey?” Tanya Siti was worried.

“How come the rich are so proud? As if to treat his employees.” Answer Ailey.

“Yeah, just be patient. After all, we eat from the salary they give. You must have been used to it for a long time.” Reply Siti.

Kevin and Lina sit next to each other in a fancy restaurant inside Abaram City Mall. They both look busy discussing mall operations and the addition of tenants there.

“Lina, I just saw this cafe. Since when did we become our tenant?” Kevin asked as he pointed towards the mall floor plan that was on Lina's laptop.

“Oh, the cafe has only been a tenant here for a week. The gothic concept is unique, yes.” Answer Lina.

“Setauku, this cafe is owned by individuals and opened for the first time in Indonesia, in our mall.” Lina said it explained.

“Why is this obscure cafe you allow to rent here?” Kevin Protests.

“I don't know exactly how the story is because it's the tenant relations part that takes care of. But from the first day it opened, Engelskraft was always crowded. The cafe became one of the most visitors in our mall, you know.” Obviously Lina.

While listening to Lina's explanation, Kevin found out about the cafe on the internet through his mobile phone. But there was no trace of any Engelskraft cafe. The soul of his business began to struggle, he did not want the reputation of his mall destroyed just because of the existence of the new cafe.

“Not to be too thoughtful. After all, our mall is getting crowded because of Engelskraft as well. Better think of our engagement which will be held in 2 months, Kevin.” Said Lina spoiled.

“Hey, don't call me by name! I'm still your boss, you know.” Kevin insists.

“I once, anyway. In the end we will get engaged too, then get married. It makes no difference to call you by name only from now.” Lina protested hearing Kevin's statement.

Kevin just sighed as if he didn't know how to deal with that super-true woman anymore. I don't know what was on his parents' minds to have to match Kevin with Lina.  Lina is from a prominent family Marliani, the son of the largest oil entrepreneur in Indonesia, so the marriage between the two large conglomerates can strengthen their business. Kevin also did not refuse when betrothed, because for Kevin Abram's family business is worth maintaining. However, what became a burden for Kevin was why it had to be Lina who was betrothed to him among the 2 daughters of Marliani. If you can choose, Kevin is more expecting Lanny, the youngest brother who is more cheerful and friendly.

“By the way, how does that new employee perform?” Kevin tried to switch the conversation.

“New employee? Ailey you mean?” Tanya Lina was convincing. “So far so good, just a few days of work, anyway. But I like to look at it because it's not polite with me.”

“Interesting. Rarely does anyone dare to reply to your words.” Kevin laughed chuckling.

“Nothing funny. If he can't respect me during probation, I'll fire him straight away.” Lina's reply was upset.

“Don't be in a hurry! Isn't it exciting to see you sewot like this just because of the new employee?” Kevin is back to flirting.

“Who would rent a lowly employee like him?” Lina's reply was upset.

“Oh, it looks like someone just got a new enemy commensurate, nih.” Kevin said while squinting his eyes.

Lina nudged Kevin's elbow who managed to nudge him. But the offence bothered him a little because for the rest of the woman's life, this was the first time she felt her own employees dared to reply to her words. It sucks, but on the other hand, Lina feels challenged to be able to conquer Ailey because of her brave attitude.

While Lina thought of a way to get Ailey to bend her knees, Kevin was still curious about the Engelskraft. For a new cafe, how could he attract so many visitors with just his gothic concept. As Abram's CEO, Kevin was very interested in Milo's business, including being curious about what his strategy was.

“Lina, how do we look around Engelskraft for a moment? You want to accompany me?” Ask Kevin gently.

“No need to ask. What, the hell didn't I do for you?” Lina answered confidently.
