Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
The Tarnished Wing

Ailey was stunned to see the miracle that lay before her. His body was stiff, his lips were trembling, he had just seen an extremely dazzling light coming from Milo's body. The wings that lay on Milo's back added to his inevitable charm. Silence shrouded the night as if in favor of Milo hiding his true figure from the crowd.

“If my figure is like this, do you still not believe that I am an angel?” Milo asked in a showy tone.

“Ma... Angel? This... Is it real?” Ailey said stammeringly, still with her two petrified legs.

“I never lied to you.” Milo replied as he took Ailey's limp drooping hand hanging over his shoulder. “Feel whether these wings are genuine or not,” continued while directing Ailey's hand to touch the fine feathers knitted on her magnificent wings.

With great care, Ailey stroked the wings that Milo displayed. Like bird feathers, but much smoother and smoother. As if to live his touch, Ailey closed her eyes while tracing each strand of the angel's wings with her finger.

“This time you believe?” Milo asked with a small smile on his lips.

Ailey opened her eyes again, “Milo, how is it possible? You are truly an angel as you say.”

Without hesitation, Ailey knelt before Milo and lowered her face. He felt guilty for being disrespectful to an angel. Ailey prostrated herself and buried her face on the floor.

“What are you doing? Come, stand!” Milo said anxiously.

“Sorry, it is inappropriate for me to treat a noble entity like you with disrespect.” Ailey said with fear.

“You don't be weird. It is a man like you who was created with the glory of my Lord. It wasn't me who should have been your prostration goal.” Reply Milo panicked as he lifted Ailey's body to return to stand on two legs.

“But you're an angel, Milo.”

“Then why? I am just like you was created by my Master. We are both creatures of His creation.” Bright Milo.

Still in disbelief, Ailey watched Milo from toe to head. Nothing had changed, his stature was still like the Milo he knew. The difference was only in the wings sticking out from behind his back. Instantly, Ailey was at a loss for words.

“It's finished yet?” Milo.

“I...” Haven't had time for Ailey to continue her words, a deafening phone ringing beeped from the phone she had in her pocket.

Milo who heard the ring only let out a sigh of annoyance because the important moment he expected was simply stolen by the loud voice. Ailey quickly picks up the phone from her boss, Lina.

“Yes, Miss Lina? Meeting with Mr Kevin and the marketing team tomorrow? Ba... Ok, Mom! I'll be in the office tomorrow.” Reply Ailey in a hurry to end the call from Lina.

“Your boss is a bitch, yes. It's been a night like this still bothers you.” Milo was disturbed.

“The name is also work. I can eat because of them, so inevitably I have to work hard.” Ailey answered while putting her phone back in her pocket.

“Yes, but that does not mean you have to lift also at this hour?” Milo Protest.

“Already. What did you say? I forgot.”

“Ehem... Aaaah please! It's okay, just ignore it!” Milo was upset.

Ailey was silent for a moment, she only realized something on Milo's wings. He moved his feet closer with his eyes glued to it. His hand again rubbed the wings embedded in Milo's back.

Milo was stunned to hear the question. He gulped as he looked at Ailey's sharp gaze.

“Sa... This wing I have not used for a long time so I have not had time to clean.” He said he panicked as he brushed aside Ailey's hand that was running through her wings.

“Is that? I thought all the angel wings were white. Your dull wings make it grayish in color.”

“Good, yes already dare to insult angel.” Reply Milo does not like.

“You say we are both His creation, so why should I be sorry about you? Don't swallow your own saliva, angel!” Ailey said as she stuck out her tongue.

“Already, stop this unimportant talk! So you want me to drive home or not?” Ask Milo selling expensive.

“Who would not want to be ushered flying by an angel figure like this? Prove that you can take me flying.” Tempted Ailey while chuckling.

“Alright, your wish is my command!”

Without further ado, Milo immediately wrapped his hands around Ailey's waist and held her tightly. Its dull majestic wings spanned with width. Just one flap, the two of them had already been lifted tens of kilometers away from the surface of the earth.

“Hey, hey! What the fuck? You didn't tell me that you drove me by hugging me like this!” Ailey protested amid strong winds.

“You think if you don't hug you like this I can take you flying? Don't think you're gonna ride on my back like those winged beasts in the local television soap opera, huh! I'm not your vehicle.” Reply Milo while hugging Ailey tightly.

“At least you tell me first if you fly this way.” Ailey.

“Don't be chatty! You better just look at the view below.” Milo complained while giving advice.

Ailey's eyes widened to see the night view from above the sky. The city lights adorn the night atmosphere beautifully, like a Christmas tree decorated by beautiful lights. As far as the eye could see, he only saw the darkness that the light of the lamp infested, not at all frightening. The view is not much different from what he saw when flying by plane. However, the admiration grew more and more because his feet did not tread at all. Ailey actually flew through the darkness of the night.

“Love, right?” Milo.

“Very good. I never knew what it was like to fly with an angel like this. Amazing and very beautiful experience.” Ailey said without taking her eyes off the scene that night.

“Thank God. I'm happy if you're happy.” Milo said softly sincerely.

It didn't take long, Milo flapped his wings slowly and started descending right where they first met. Still hugging Ailey, the legs of the two of them finally touched the surface back.

“Milo, why should it be in this landfill?” Ailey complained while closing her nose.

“Hehehe. Sorry, my flight coordinates are still bad. Unmemorized. Hehehe.” Milo said while laughing embarrassedly.

Milo loosened his arms and allowed Ailey to keep her distance. The angel and the man looked embarrassed with a reddened face. It seemed to be the first hug the two had made during their life in the world.

“Thank you.” Ailey.

Milo simply replied with a warm smile. His wings were flapped once more and he immediately shot flying into the sky. Ailey looked up and did not see the figure of the dull-winged angel again. With sparkling eyes, he looked up at the night sky and did not stop praising his admiration for his experience just now in his heart.
