Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
The Angel Who Really Fall

Ailey seemed to be in a hurry to get out of bed. A shabby bag hung on his shoulder. Sometimes he checks into the bag to make sure his wallet is there. He only realized that rice and cooking oil were left a little at the cost so he had to go to the night market to buy it. Though he could have bought food at a stall near the kosan, but he should not be wasteful. As much as possible cook yourself to be more efficient.

That day at about 6 p.m., the sunlight had already begun to thin as Ailey exited the boarding house. Sometimes Ailey is still traumatized if she has to go on foot alone above 6pm, but not in her current settlement. Because Ailey lives in a densely populated house with small alleys, of course, many people are still active there, even the sound of a child crying inside the house can be heard up to the street. Ailey is not afraid to walk alone at night. If something were to bother him, he could easily shout and everyone there could hear and help him.

Not far from where he lives, there is a landfill he really dislikes. Every day garbage trucks are passing there to accumulate garbage and other unused waste. Clearly, a pungent smell was always milling about in the area. Unfortunately, Ailey had to pass through the landfill to head to the night market because it was the only shortcut to the market. Actually he could have gone another way but the distance was quite far. Ailey doesn't want to risk coming home late at night.

“Okay, it smells so bad! If I am already rich, I will make sure to find a place to live far from the disposal area like this.” He muttered while closing his nose.

While passing through the pile of garbage, Ailey realized that there was something different between the garbage that was mounting. He saw a man struggling to get himself out of the pungent-smelling garbage heap.

“Hey, you! Can you help me?” The man said to Ailey who was passing by.

Ailey looked around and she was the only one passing by. He was eager to help her but an unpleasant smell had already tainted her nose. It was inconceivable what it would smell like if he had to get close and help the man.

“Hmm... What are you doing there? So dirty!” Reply Ailey without flinching a bit.

“Help me first! Why is this pile of trash so heavy, anyway?” Continue the stranger.

This time Ailey went to him without thinking. Even if he did not like the area, but helping his fellow humans was a must for him.

“You...kok can-can..ada...in the stack....trash, anyway?” Ailey asked breathlessly while pulling the man's hand.

“Quick pull me first!” The man said impatiently.

As soon as the man was pulled out by Ailey, the mountainous trash began to slide down. Fortunately, the dirty trash didn't hit Ailey.

“Now try to explain to me why you can be buried in this garbage?” Ailey asked while keeping a distance from the man.

The man looks busy shaking hands on his body to expel the dirt that sticks. Then he looked at Ailey and replied, “I also don't know why I could fall in this disgusting place.”

“Truly said? You think you're an angel or what?” Connect Ailey ketus.

“Ya, you can say like that.” She answered with pride.

Ailey gawked at the answer. He just stared at the shabby man with a strange look.

“Why? You must be surprised ‘kan if I am an angel.” Keep the guy.

“Ran to be more precise. Kok, there are mortals like you, yes.” Timpal Ailey's getting upset.

“Ha-lu.” Ailey returned to reply while turning her body and walking away.

I don't know what sins Ailey had to help a madman from a pile of stinging garbage. He kept walking away from the garbage dump without even turning his head. He had no time to serve a madman who called himself an angel.

“You left me just like that?” The man's voice sounded close behind him.

“You why follow me?” Ailey was shocked to see the man walking after her from behind.

“Hey, I have not thanked you! Don't get angry, dong!” His protest.

Ailey moaned while looking at the disappointed-looking man's face. He crossed both hands on the chest a sign of his patience starting to run out.

“You don't have to thank me. I sincerely helped you. Already there, go home and clean your body!” Ailey said as if she wanted to end the conversation immediately.

The man smiled sweetly and said, “Betul also said My lord, you are indeed a sincere person.”

Ailey looked at him in confusion. He did not seem to understand the words of the man.

“My name is Milo.” Said the man while extending his hand.

As if hypnotized by the eyes of the man named Milo, Ailey answered his helping hand and grasped it tightly as if not disgusted by the dirty hand.

“I Ailey. Greetings know.”

“Happy to meet you.” Reply Milo with a friendly smile

“A...I have to leave immediately.” Ailey answered nervously while letting go of the handshake that Milo offered.

Ailey quickly rushed to step on her feet in astonishment with herself. Usually he always keeps his body sanitized so there is no way he would want to shake Milo's hands dirty because of the garbage. However, it seems that Ailey also feels delayed because of anger due to being disturbed by it.

Ailey stopped her steps and looked back. He decided to apologize. But, as lost to the earth, Milo was no longer standing there. Ailey just kept quiet. How could anyone leave so soon? Even if you run, the sound of the foot should still be heard. The cold night breeze left a thousand questions in Ailey's mind.

Ailey then looked at her hand that had shaken hands with Milo. His grip was warm, but the night was quite cold. Sometimes he looks around to make sure the man is not off his radar. Sadly, the result is nil. He couldn't find any trace of Milo's departure. He walked back to the garbage dump just to check the strange feelings that inhabit him. It was a shock that Ailey saw the garbage pile scattered by the landslide was arranged as before with the same height as before she helped Milo.

The wind is getting stronger. The birds in the air can be seen flying over it. A dull white bird feather fell and perched on his shoulder. Ailey wiped the bird's feathers and let it fall slowly to the ground.

One question still haunts him, who exactly is that mysterious man named Milo?
