Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Trying to Understand

The whirlwind of the beach calms the heart and mind. The sound of the roaring waves seemed to sweep away the fatigue that had occurred lately. Under the scorching sun, a young coconut ice accompanied Ailey who was sitting while staring at the blue scenery.

“How does it feel? Young coconut here the best, you know.” Lanny sat next to Ailey.

“Wah, it's worth it so refreshing. Thank you for bringing me here!” Ailey.

“Cause. Holidays are important for mental health. Healing his name.” Lanny said excitedly.

“I just found out there is a beautiful beach like this in Jakarta.”

“Main you're less distant, anyway. In the north of Jakarta, there are actually many beaches that can be visited. It is not as beautiful and vibrant as Bali, but appreciable, ‘kan.” Lanny Obviously.

Ailey went back to sipping the young coconut ice she had in her hand. His face looked satisfied enjoying a refreshing drink in the hot afternoon sun.

“Listen-heard it's been a few days you're not in work.” Lanny said opening the conversation.

“Hehehe. Yes, a lot has happened lately.” His word.

“You're not like Ailey used to be. Aren't you the most diligent employee and never afraid of anything?”

Putting her young coconut ice on the table, Ailey glared at the blue sky. He realized something was different about him. His spirited and unyielding personality was like a disgrace after feeling betrayed by those closest to him.

“Why shut up? What are you thinking?” Ask Lanny.

“Honestly, I don't understand what I have to do now.”

Lanny poked her ears sharply. Actually, he's been told the real thing happened by Kevin in outline. But he also wanted to hear the point of view of his friend.

“Did a man always be like that, only his own ego?” Ailey.

“You mean Kevin?”

“Maybe he should have stayed with your brother.” His word.

Lanny exhaled, “If I may be honest, from the beginning I did not see a match between the two of them. When I found out they broke off the engagement, I actually felt relieved.”

Ailey looked at Lanny. She was quite surprised that Lanny had such thoughts on her own brother.

“Maybe I'm too young to understand a relationship. But, I think a relationship forced by sheer ambition will not have a strong foundation.” Lanny said.

“I never should have been present in their relationship. I've hurt a lot of people, including myself.”

Ailey again sipped young coconut ice while fanning her hands on the neck area due to the intense heat.

“Free match if not get blessing. Maybe we are not a match.” Ailey.

Lanny watched Ailey with a look of sympathy. He understood how difficult it was for ordinary citizens to penetrate conglomerate families where everything had to be profitable from the business side. That is why he chose to pursue his dream in the world of photography rather than having to obey all the wishes of his parents who focused on business. Sometimes she also felt sorry for her brother because she had to let Lina bear the burden of her parents alone.

“Father Kevin has liver cancer.” Lanny suddenly.

Ailey stopped the flickering of her hand and looked at the friend with a shocked face. He took a standby position to listen to the continuation of his story.

“Have been his father's years battling liver cancer. If I don't hear wrong, the doctor's sentenced her life to a few months. I think that's what got Kevin's leg stuck in place. He became difficult to move following his own will due to his father's apprehensive condition.” Evidently.

“So, you mean..” Mumbled Ailey.

“Kevin really loves you. It never crossed his mind to leave you. He just needs time to face his own father.” Sela Lanny's.

“Lantas I should how?” Ask Ailey.

“Believe in Kevin. I'm sure, he'll find the solution.”

“I don't need to do anything?”

Lanny shook her head, “There is nothing you can do but pray. Let father and son solve their problems.”

Ailey looked down a sign of disappointment at herself. If he had known earlier, he would not have treated Kevin that way in the ballroom. Now he feels guilty for his actions even though Kevin tries to think about his father's condition as well. At that moment, Ailey felt like she was the most selfish person.

“Spirit! Show people that you are a strong woman! I know you're not that weak.” Lanny said encouragingly.

“Thank you, Lanny. Your words mean so much to me.” Reply Ailey with relief.

Ailey's sadness is fading. He should not have thought about this matter just from his own point of view. He tries to understand the real situation and trusts Kevin to solve the problem with his father. Now, there was only one thing that disturbed his mind, Milo. Ailey could not keep running away and closed her eyes. At least, he had to remain professional working at Engelskraft even though heartache still haunts him when he sees Milo's face.

Then, Ailey checked her phone and saw some incoming messages coming from her two co-workers at Engelskraft. Ferdi and Mario ask the woman to return to work. Apparently, they were quite exhausted taking care of the cafe without the touch of a woman there. In addition, there is a message from Milo that has not been opened from yesterday. He deliberately distanced himself from the man while waiting for his mind to calm down. Finally, Ailey ventured to read the angel's message.

“Ailey, I know you're mad at me. But anyway all this time I didn't tell you because I wanted to keep your feelings. Let's talk again when you're ready to work. We are always waiting for you to return to Engelskraft. Stay spirit!” So was the message from Milo.

Ailey carved a sweet smile on her lips as she read the message. Even if the pain was still felt by him, he could not run away constantly. He should be able to face Milo at all costs and get back to working well. In addition, Ailey is not willing to make her father worry again if her father finds out she gave up her life in Jakarta again.

The sunlight seemed to give an answer to Ailey's heartbreak. The waves that touch the rock seem to invite him to rise and not become weak. The desire to solve his problems in Jakarta again emerged. After all, he should not look weak in the eyes of those who once underestimated him. Everything he had to do, not just for his father or anyone else, but for the sake of making peace with himself.
