Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Heart Screams

In solitude, Ailey approaches the ballroom at Abram City Mall. He knew that the art exhibition “Angel in Us” had ended a long time ago, but he did not know where to go anymore. He pushed open the large ballroom door and a large, dark room was placed in front of him. A completely different atmosphere enveloped him, not the same as when the exhibition was held. Silent, quiet as his heart felt.

He stepped into the middle of that magnificent room. He closed his eyes as if he was living out every swish of moist wind that moved around him. Tears flowed back on the woman's cheeks. His sobbing sound broke the silence and echoed there. The outpouring of feelings that he had been holding back from earlier could finally be expelled by him without needing to be afraid of being heard by others.

“Why? Why am I so stupid to trust men? Why?” His screams are full of pain.

Too overwhelmed with her own grief, Ailey does not realize that there is someone else there who is laying on the floor in search of calm. The person rose from his lazy position and saw Ailey crying bitterly in the middle of the room while kneeling helplessly.

“You're crying?” The voice of a man so familiar was heard from one corner of the room.

“Who is it?” Ailey's looking for where the voice came from.

The figure of the man she knew was faintly visible. Kevin was there, watching the woman cry as she pleased.

“Kevin.” Ailey said as she swept her tears.

Kevin was surprised to see Ailey's face. Pain radiated from the glare of her eyes full of tears.

“Why are you crying like this?” Kevin was worried.

“Stop!” Shouted Ailey startlingly.

Silence filled the magnificent room. Kevin could only stare at her while keeping his distance.

“Stop all this! What right do you ask me like that?” Ailey asked hysterically. “What do you care? You never even look for me again! What do you care?!”

Kevin's body trembled. He realized his actions had made Ailey so confused. He moved his feet slowly closer.

“Do not approach!” Shouted Ailey.

“Ailey.” Kevin said in a soft voice.

“Please stop! If you can't be with me, tell me the truth. I've trusted you so far. So, please be honest with me!” Ailey sobbing.

Kevin continued walking slowly without answering Ailey's words. She wanted to be with him, but she was confused how to say it considering the matter with her father had not been resolved.

“I'm tired of you all! I'm tired of seeing you guys cover up the truth. I... I'm not strong enough for that!” His screams with endless tears flowed.

Seeing Ailey's deep sadness, Kevin snatched before her and hugged the fragile woman's body. His hands were tightly coiled around Ailey's body. For a moment, Ailey's heart was moved by Kevin's actions.

“Sorry. I'm sorry.” Brisks Kevin lirih.

“Only that? Isn't there anything else you want to say?” Ask Ailey.

“Sorry.” Kevin said the same thing.

Ailey pushed the man to let go of his embrace. He looked at the man with eyes that were starting to turn red. As much as possible, she held back her tears from flowing any more profusely. He stood up and set his feet firmly.

“That's not what I want to hear. Don't you understand?” Ailey said she kept the pain.

While wiping away the tears that had soaked her face, Ailey left Kevin in the ballroom. Kevin could only feel the chill from the woman's attitude. Not noticeably, water flowed from the man's eye bag. She was crying alone inside the large room out of disappointment to herself. Her cries echoed as if reminding how poignant their romance story was.

Tapping his fingers on the table, Kevin looked straight ahead of his chair in the CEO Abram's room. Milo was seen sitting in front of him in anxiety.

“So, Ailey is no longer in work from yesterday?” Ask Kevin.

“Iya, she won't even pick up the phone from me.” Obviously Milo.

“Actually what happened? Why is he so fucked up?” Ask Kevin back.

“You still ask me? Didn't you make it like that?” Milo asked back.

“I know. But he had said ‘kalian’ while crying in the ballroom. So, I don't think I'm the only one who caused it.” Bright Kevin.

Milo shifted his eyes. After all, he can't tell his past to other humans, including Kevin. If his true form as an angel is discovered by many, he will be punished by the heavens.

“Kevin, we can't let Ailey like this continue. We have to do something.” Milo said to divert the conversation.

“Do what for example?”

“I don't like you with Ailey, but I realize that Ailey only loves you. Don't stay away from her anymore! Only you can treat his heart.” Obviously Milo.

“I haven't even got my father's blessing.” Said.

Milo. He seemed confused by this complex situation.

“He's pretty close to Lanny, isn't he? Ask for her help to accompany Ailey for a while. At least, there was someone who could accompany him at a time like this. Right now, we are not the people she wants.” Milo.

“Good. I'll call Lanny. We can't let sad Ailey continue like that.” Said Kevin.

“Lanny is just a temporary solution. You have to solve this problem with your father and Ailey before things get runyam.”

Kevin nodded at the advice given by Milo. The real solution, however, is in itself. If he did not take immediate action, everything would be too late to be fixed.

“I'll find a way to solve this all.” Said Kevin.

“Kevin, I didn't know you'd believe my words or not.” Milo said. He took a deep breath and continued speaking, “You and Ailey are destined to unite. So, don't be afraid! Just trust!”

Kevin was shocked to hear the statement because usually Milo is not as supportive as this to him. The words seemed to be quite shocking to him.

“Wow, wow! What's the matter? You support me?” His ideal.

“Ah, I shouldn't have said that! Never mind, it seems I'm just a guyonan for you. I'm home!” Milo said as he moved out of his chair.

Milo did not leave the room, Kevin called his name. He gave a small smile full of sincerity.

“Milos. Thank you, bro!” Kevin closed the conversation.

Milo turned to the CEO for a moment and walked out of the room again. It seemed that the angel was also not used to saying the thing that lowered his ego. His hands were scratching his head in nervousness.

Behind his desk, Kevin contemplated his conversation with Milo just now. Supposedly, he did not need to be a cowardly man just because of this matter. Isn't his future determined by himself and not others? He just needed time to convince his father that his choice was the right one.
