Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Brilliant Idea

Siti is busy explaining some electronic products to visitors. Sometimes he looked back at the employee room in the back corner of the store. A few minutes ago, Kevin visited the store with an upset face, followed by Ailey from behind and into the employee room. Siti, who realizes that Ailey was caught missing from the store during working hours, can only sit back anxiously and pray that her friend is not fired.

“What did the furore mean in Engelskraft?” Ask Kevin in an interrogation tone.

“Sorry, I just want to attract visitors come to our store.” Ailey's reply was doubtful.

“Someone told you like that?” Kevin then asked.

Ailey shook her head. As much as possible he does not want to talk much for fear of answering the wrong answer. His career may stop at that time if confronted by a CEO.

“Do you know that promotion in other people's business without their permission can be bad for us? If they get distracted and sue us and ask for compensation, what will you do?”

Ailey just lowered her head. His hands were tightly clenched in front of his thighs. A gesture that shows a sense of obedience and resignation. He knew he shouldn't have done it as well as himself.

“You can indemnify?” Kevin asked back in anger.

“Sorry, Sir! I admit wrong. I won't repeat it again.” Answer Ailey's panic.

“It looks like Lina was wrong to recruit you. Employees who do not want to listen to their superiors must always do things that can harm the company.” Kevin was not satisfied with Ailey's apology.

“I just want to promote in crowded places, sir because our store is not many visitors. If we can get at least 50% of Engelskraft visitors, it is not impossible that 10% will make transactions in our store, is not it?” Ailey tried to explain.

Kevin fell silent. Ailey's explanation that went into his ear was instantly digested automatically in his brain. For him, the sentence is not the defense sentence of an employee who is afraid of being fired, but a marketing strategy that can be matured again. Kevin loosened his tense veins. While looking at Ailey who looked anxious and full of guilt, she thought of an idea.

“Collaboration.” Muttered Kevin.

“Eh?” Ailey who did not hear the voice of her boss was clearly curious to see Kevin's suddenly excited face.

“You are back to work. Next time there's no apology for you.” Said Kevin.

“Thank you, Sir.” Ailey then exited the room and followed Siti who was standing guard outside.

Kevin was still silent in the employee room while crossing his arms in front of his chest. In her silence, she was actually thinking about the brilliant ideas that came from Ailey's reckless behavior. Apparently, Ailey wasn't entirely stupid in Kevin's eyes. This made him soften and let Ailey keep working there.

“Sorry, long wait, yes?” Kevin came in in a hurry.

“Oh, it's okay. Tumben once you took me to a sudden meeting. Not that, you have business in the mall, huh?” Ask Lina.

“Instead it! I got a great idea. Come collaborate with Engelskraft!” Kevin said excitedly.

“Wait first! You better explain it to me first. I don't understand.” at all Lina's response was shocked.

“Engelskraft is on the rise in our mall. Let's use this opportunity to increase the number of visitors in our electronic store as well!” Obviously Kevin is short and solid.

“Not to think too much about that store. Engelskraft has brought a lot of crowds in our mall, we can take some of the benefits that we can from the Abram City mall for the continuity of our electronics store. Take it easy, I've calculated everything!” Lina firmly convinced.

“No! Abram Corporation was able to make it big initially because of my parents' electronics business. Without it, they would not be able to build the Abram City Mall. I want to continue my parents' legacy.” Kevin is unyielding.

“But, rather than us thinking about a business that has begun to dim, should not we think of other businesses that have great potential for this company?” Lina sounded like she didn't want to lose. His dominant nature reappeared.

“You won't understand. Call our marketing team, I'll take care of everything.” Kevin said firmly while looking at Lina's eyes sharply.

Lina who is good at arguing immediately melted seeing the strength of Kevin's determination. His eyes exuded a strong and unshakable constancy. The silent atmosphere formed a while between the two before Lina finally agreed.

“Good. If the CEO asks, what can I do. I'll call our marketing team to talk about this. I'll help you, my fiancee.” Reply Lina obediently.

Kevin smiled happily at his obedience. He can't wait to make a breakthrough at his electronics store. Even though people began to move from offline stores to online stores, Kevin still wanted to maintain his parents' first legacy. Like, the electronic store that became a silent witness to the formation of Abram Corporation to become a giant property business in Indonesia as it is now.

Abram City Mall was formerly an old shopping mall that focused on selling electronic goods. Kevin's parents opened his first electronics store business there under the name Abram Electronics which is still used by his successor, Kevin. Their efforts are so advanced that they can open several branches in other major cities. However, unfortunately 6 years ago the shopping center was rumored to be out of business. Feeling a strong bond with the place, Kevin's parents bought the property to maintain the location of the first opened business. Assisted by his uncle who is a leading investor in Asia, the old shopping center was renovated with a new face named Abram City Mall. In fact, his uncle also bought land around him to expand the mall area. Obviously Kevin is very proud of the mall, including Abram Electronics store in it.

“Lina, it seems you should be better against that new employee.” Kevin continues.

“Who? You mean Ailey?” Ask Lina ketus.

“Sometimes, we don't know what good things others can do for us.” Kevin replied with a wink. “I'm in my room for a minute. Let me know if the marketing team has gathered here.”

Kevin's words annoy Lina. He still did not understand the man's intentions and his relationship with Ailey. It seemed that something was missed by him that day to make him curious. Lina could only stare at Kevin's back which finally passed from before her. It's been a long time that Kevin wasn't that alive.
