The first day of work was successfully completed by Ailey. After changing her work clothes and putting on her sneakers, Ailey decided to make a short tour of Abram City Mall. This is the first time he was in the largest mall in Indonesia. All this time, he only knew that high-end place from television. It was proud that Ailey could work there so much that she did not want to waste her first day working without looking around the tenants.
Abram City Mall is divided into four major parts, namely fashion & jewelry, hobbies & gadgets, cafes & restaurants, entertainment where each occupies the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. Since the establishment of this mall, property prices around tripled because many people make Abram City Mall as a center for entertainment and business destinations. Every day, the place is always crowded with visitors, both just eating with family to business meetings.
Ailey's view is sidetracked as she passes through a cafe called Engelskraft with gothic shades that are loaded with sandalwood. Actually, he did not really like anything dark and mystical, but the fragrant sandalwood that attracted his attention. He stepped into the cafe. From a distance, he saw a man of familiar stature sitting in the corner of the cafe. The man looked back at Ailey and locked the woman's gaze.
“Milo?” Ailey muttered as she realized who the man sitting alone was.
“Hai, Ailey!” Milo stood up and waved his hand as if he was waiting for Ailey's arrival.
Ailey welcomes Milo's call and walks towards him. Why did you meet that guy again? Is this a coincidence or is it planned by whom?
“Come, please sit!” Sapa Milo friendly.
“You come here often?” Ailey asked as she shifted the chair and sat right in front of Milo.
“Not really, actually this is my first time here.” Answer Milo.
“You're not stalking me ‘kan?” Ailey asked suspiciously.
“Hahaha! Take it easy, I'm not that kind of guy, kok.” Timpal Milo relaxed.
“Good! Because of a strange coincidence for 2 days in a row meet you who incidentally is a stranger to me.” Ailey.
Milo just smiled nervously. Scratching his head, Milo stared at the window trying to take his eyes off.
“Yesterday you went very fast as lost swallowed by the earth.” Ailey's been curious.
“Oh, I have a sudden affair so I immediately flew to move places and did not have time to tell you.” Said Milo innocently.
“Omonganmu ngaco again. Do you have wings like a bird?” Ailey doesn't believe me.
“Ah, yes you did not believe my words yesterday, yes. It's okay too, anyway.” Answer Milo.
“Begini...,” Ailey sighed for a moment. “Actually I want to apologize to you that yesterday I missed, but you are so fast away."
Milo was speechless at Ailey's confession. He laughed a little while shaking his head. “As per my guess, you really are a good woman. No need to apologize so. I should be the one apologizing for leaving without saying goodbye. Surely you think I'm a freak like a psychopath or something.”
"How can't it? Where there are normal people who blusukan to get into the garbage pile. Seeing you can hang out in a cafe like this, it is certain you are not a scavenger who likes to scavenge dirty garbage.” Bright Ailey.
"Hahahahaha, so critical are you. Hahaha.”Milo laughed heartily at Ailey's chattering.
They both seemed to be enjoying the meeting that time. The boundaries of strangers seem to be lifted. Ailey, who was originally antipathy with Milo, is seen starting to follow Milo's style of speech. If others did not know the truth was happening, surely the two of them were considered old friends by just looking at it from afar.
It doesn't feel like the day is getting any darker. Ailey who was chatting with Milo was startled by the thunderous sound of lightning.
"I think I should go home soon. Can be chubby if raining on the road.” Ailey.
“You want me to drop off?” Milo.
"No need, I don't want to trouble you.” Answer Ailey sungkan.
“Yet your imagination is too high. Be careful, God could punish you for speaking a no-no!” Typhoon Ailey.
“I know God better than you. Besides, it seems I'm used to his punishment.” Reply Milo whispered with great caution.
"Haha! Crazy men! Yes already, I went home first, yes!” Ailey exclaimed as she stood up from the chair she was sitting in.
"Alright, be careful on the road!” Milo replied, “By the way, thank you for keeping me up for a long chat, yeah. Hehe."
Ailey rushed out of the cafe waving her hand to say goodbye. For some reason, Ailey felt very happy after talking to Milo. Maybe because all this time he was less socialized due to stress due to idle.
Right, once out of the Abram City Mall, big rain immediately flushed Jakarta. Ailey who was afraid to catch a cold immediately took shelter back at the drop off location. He looked at the watch in his hand that was already showing at nine o'clock at night. A feeling of dread enveloped Ailey. If you go home too late, of course the streets will be quieter. Anxiety over him if the events of his school era repeated.
Seconds change into minutes. Visitors have started to leave the mall with their personal vehicles. The atmosphere that was once crowded slowly began to quiet down. Only rain water was heard.
“Kok, still here?” Milo surprised Ailey who was pensively staring at the rain.
“Ah, Milo! How can I go home? It rained so hard and I forgot to bring my umbrella.” Complain Ailey.
“You didn't order a taxi online?” Ask Milo to make sure.
“To be honest, I'm being frugal.” Answer Ailey's shy.
“I told you, I'll take you!” Milo forced to go home together.
“Fly mean? Don't fabricate! Cape listen, tau!” Reply Ailey.
"Hahaha don't fly, really. I got a car. You wait here, yes.” Said Milo while rushing towards the parking lot.
Ailey was astonished by the kindness of the man. It had only been 2 days of acquaintance, but Milo did not mind taking her home. In fact, Ailey feels hesitant to be ushered in by a new person but rather than not being able to go home, she has no other choice.
The sound of car horns roaring from a distance. A white SUV approaches and stops in front of Ailey.
“Please go up.” Milo from the car.
Ailey opened the passenger door in front and got into the car immediately. Then smell the perfume of a very distinctive car. The smell of sandalwood.
“This sandalwood smell is very similar to the one in the cafe?” Ailey asked curiously.
“Do you not like the smell? Well, then I have to change the perfume room in the car and cafe as well, yes.”
“Hah? You mean?” Ailey asked in astonishment.
"Oh, I haven't told you yet, yeah. Engelskraft is my small business. Hehe.” Reply Milo timidly.
“Serious?!!” Ailey was shocked.
"Will believe it or not. Quickly wear your seat belt.” Milo.
As she penetrated the rain, Ailey asked her heart who the man who drove her home was. The first meeting in a landfill, the second meeting in a cafe that he recognizes as his business. Two very different situations
