Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Inner Upheaval

Ailey's eyes looked sleepy during her stay at the store. Countless times he yawned that morning. Siti who saw him limp sitting at the cashier table looks anxious.

“Ai, it's still 10am but why do you keep yawning? Though yesterday we did not follow the engagement party of Bu Lina until it was finished, you know.” Ask Siti curious.

“I'm sleep deprived, nih. Last night in Japan until late. Hoaaaaaam.” He answered without realizing what he was saying.

“Japan? Well, it seems your brain is starting to slide, yeah. Looks like you're devastated to see CEO Abram get engaged last night.” Said.

“Don't be crazy! I have nothing to do with Mr. Kevin. He is already happy.” Ailey said as she spread her head on the table.

“You really fell in love with our boss, huh? I feel sorry to see you. However, dreams have to have limits. If it is too wild, we ourselves will be disappointed.”

“Fall in love? I don't know what love is. All I feel is sleepy.” Reply Ailey limply.

“Come, wake! You get paid to work, so don't bother me!” Siti protested while upholding Ailey's limp body.

Not yet Ailey had time to collect her life, the figure of Lina came to them both. His face looked happy, but the aura of arrogance still emanated clearly. It seemed like he had a certain intention of visiting the store that morning.

“Thank you, yes for coming to my engagement party last night. Too bad you guys didn't show up until it was over. Though there are expensive souvenirs shared at the end of the event, you know.” Said the woman arrogantly.

The two employees could only shut up and glanced at each other. It felt like they slapped his boss but they didn't want to risk his career for granted.

“Oh, yes Ailey. Do you remember my comments about how you looked when we first met at the office? Your appearance last night is still the same, not classy.” Said ketus.

Ailey immediately moved out of her chair. Anger was clearly visible on his face. He had long been patient with his superior behavior

“Bu Lina, I am indeed not classy like you because I am not a rich person. But, even though I have money, I am not up to the heart to humble others.” The reply.

“I don't demean you. I'm just talking honestly. Supposedly, as an Abram employee, you should be able to represent the company well.”

“Is the company's reflection only of its outward appearance? In my opinion, if the behavior is still minus, do not talk about the appearance.” Ailey said bravely enough.

Lina seemed offended by the employee's reply. He just bit his lips while clenching his hands. While Ailey stood quietly as she felt right about her stance. The two women had been staring at each other for a long time.

“Bu, visitors have started arriving. Me and Ailey permission to work first, yes.” Siti mediates. He knew that being left any longer would result in bloodshed in the shop. In addition, he also wanted to save Ailey from being careless towards her superiors.

This morning's event upset Ailey enough to make her leave the store for a while. He walked out of the mall in search of fresh juice to cool his heart. It just so happened that the afternoon weather was quite hot so he had a reason for a quick permit to buy a cold drink.

Not far from the exit, Ailey passed Kevin who had just arrived. Ailey's legs stopped for a moment. The two of them looked nervous when faced.

“Thank you for coming to my engagement party.” Said the man nervous.

“It's okay. Excuse me first, Mr.” Reply Ailey while continuing her steps.

“Wait a minute! I want to give you this.” Sela Kevin offers two tickets in front of Ailey.

“Ticket to go to Angel in Us exhibition. I know you like the exhibition, so please come again for free.” Evidently.

Ailey simply stared at the ticket the CEO handed out without showing any reaction. He was confused by Kevin's excellent treatment towards him. Why would he do this to the opposite sex? Isn't it too much for a man who already has a fiancee? Think Ailey.

“Sorry, sir I can't take it. But thank you very much.” Ailey said without seeing Kevin for a second.

“Don't do that! A person's kindness cannot be denied.” Force Kevin while putting the ticket in Ailey's hand. “You have time tonight?” Reciprocity.

That question bothered Ailey. He raised his head and looked at Kevin with an annoyed look as if he wanted to tell him to stop.

“No, I've got an event. Once again thank you.” Ailey replied as she passed from before the CEO.

Kevin was speechless with Ailey's cold behavior. He could only see the woman walking away from him. The man's face looked sad, as if regretting his decision to get engaged. However, the rice had already become porridge. For the sake of maintaining wealth and becoming the most influential person, the engagement seemed to be his destiny that was already flowing in his blood.

Ailey's hand squeezed out the ticket she held firmly. Holding back his anger, he continued to walk quickly so that no one would notice his irritated countenance. It felt like the woman was yelling at Kevin to stop treating him like someone special. But what power, it's impossible for him to do to a CEO who hires him. She wanted to cry, but what. He didn't want to feel pitied by anyone.

“Hurry once. Where are you going, anyway?” Ask Milo suddenly.

“Shock me! Why, the hell are you always showing up all of a sudden?” Ailey was surprised.

“Hahaha! How grumpy. By the way, is that what you hold?” Milo said after seeing the ticket paper peeking out from the sidelines of Ailey's grasp.

“Ah, here's a ticket to the art exhibition.” He answered while holding out two tickets that had been scuffed.

“Wah, why so scuffed? Don't tell me you want to throw it away! What a shame, if not used!” The angelic protest is human.

“Ya, already for you only.” Ailey said casually as she held out the ticket.

“Two tickets for me? Who am I going there with? Eits, I'm not taking Mario or Ferdi! Won't be exciting!” He took the two tickets.

Ailey did not respond to his words. He just stared at the floor.

“Look, since you gave it to me then I will invite you to see the exhibition! So these tickets are nothing short of.” Further.

“Hah? I don't want to!” Reject Ailey.

“Hey, you don't look okay. Isn't it better to refresh for a moment using this ticket?”

“As far as you are. I'm not in the mood to argue.” The woman said as she continued her steps.

Milo who was confused by Ailey's behavior could only stand looking at her walking away. From a distance, he shouted, “Alright, tomorrow you have no shift ‘ right? I'll be waiting for you in the ballroom tomorrow afternoon, yes!”

Ailey continued walking without heeding the angel. However, behind his regret he harbored gratitude because there was still a figure of Milo who noticed him. Unknowingly, a small smile was painted on his lips.
