Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Pantingly

Lina's workroom felt so hot that she repeatedly lowered the temperature of the ac. Her heart was still filled with anger as Ailey broke into her office without her permission and dared to go against her. A stack of documents arranged on the table still looks neat untouched by it because of the emotions that make it unfocused work.

Kevin was seen walking into the woman's room with a breath of excitement. It seemed like he was in such a hurry that he ran towards Lina's office.

“Hi, Kevin! Tumben once you visit my room.” Say hello to Lina as if nothing happened.

“You fired Ailey?” Ask to the point while approaching the woman who was sitting with a huff.

Lina sighed and looked at Kevin's eyes sharply. He stood up from his chair and leaned his palm onto the table.

“For what we keep an employee who is infected with HIV. She's it's unfit for work.”

“But why should it be spread across the office network via email? It is completely unprofessional and violates the code of conduct!” His protest.

“Why so angry? That's not important. Didn't you ever tell me that HIV sufferers are unclean? Most importantly, he no longer works here.” His whisper was near Kevin's ear.

Kevin nodded and retreated his legs. He was offended by her words. Perhaps more precisely, she was offended by the fact that she had indirectly rejected Ailey because of her HIV.

“However you have violated the company's code of conduct. I'll give you a warning letter.” Kevin said with a sigh.

The two of them looked sharp as if there was a flow of electricity meeting between the two. Then Lina turned her body around and sat back down in a calm manner. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he was uncomfortable with the threat from his CEO.

“Do you really know that the HIV drug found in your car belongs to Ailey?” Ask Lina calmly.

Kevin just fell silent while turning his gaze elsewhere. He did not want to wrongly answer his dominant fiancee.

“I've confirmed to people who've hitched a ride in your car and they don't feel like they're missing any drugs. But the question is, why is Ailey's drug in your car? Oh, more precisely why did Ailey get a car with you?” Tanya Lina cornered.

Kevin swallowed. He realized that he could not keep quiet.

“Yes, Ailey used to drive with me. But that doesn't mean you can fire him in such a heinous way.” Said Kevin.

Brak!

Lina again stood up from her chair while pounding the table. There was clearly anger in both of his eyes. Kevin could not retreat anymore, he returned Lina's gaze fearlessly as if to show who was more powerful in that place.

“Can-can you let a lowly employee seem to be hitching a ride in your car. Tell me, what's he doing so you can treat him that well? He teases you, ‘kan?” Reply Lina like an infidelity person.

“No! He never teased me in the least. You better fix your overly possessive and ambitious nature. Many people will feel uncomfortable with you.” Kevin answered and turned his body towards the exit.

Kevin's step stopped for a moment, without looking back he said, “I will still give you a warning letter.” Then she left Lina in her room alone.

Ailey was sitting on the floor folding her clothes and packing them into a large bag. The narrow boarding room now looks spacious because it is neat and clean from his personal belongings. The woman looked around to feel the final atmosphere inside the cost.

“It seems that the expression that says that the capital is more cruel than stepmother is indeed true.” He muttered to himself while laughing.

The folds of his last shirt were put in a bag and then he closed the zipper. He stood up limply as he tipped his big bag. His face looked sad because he had to leave the room he usually occupied all this time.

Then he pulled out his phone from his pocket and typed a message for his father.

“Pak, I'm home today. Don't forget to prepare Ailey's favorite food, yes! Ailey kangen with parchment and eggs balado cuisine Father. See you at home.”

Ailey decides to return home using the savings she has saved since working at Abram. It seems that he has given up on staying in Jakarta and wants to forget all the bad memories that happened in Abram. Maybe keeping his father's coffee shop is indeed the best choice that should have been done long ago. If he does not choose to work in Jakarta, of course, bitterness in Abram will not be experienced.

With lethargic steps he left his residence. At the end of the road, he saw Siti in her SPG uniform standing teary-eyed.

“Siti, what are you doing here? Isn't it still work hours?” Ailey asked as she walked up to him.

Siti hugged her partner with a heavy cry. She held Ailey tightly as if she was going to part forever.

“Ailey, I'm sorry. Forgive me for being afraid of your condition.” He said sobbing with regret.

“Have it, I've never been mad at you. Thank you, yes for everything.” Reply Ailey while wrapping her hands around Siti's back.

“You are strong, yes. Show those who have humbled you that people with HIV can also live a normal and successful life!” Siti.

Ailey then let go of her embrace gently and looked at Siti's face that was swollen with tears. He smiled because there were still friends who supported him even though he knew about his illness.

“Don't cry anymore! I would feel hard to leave you if you cried like this. Remember, you still have to fight in Abram so keep your spirits up! I want to see you become the top SPG this month.” Ailey's words are calming.

“Where are you going?” Tanya Siti realized the big bag her friend was carrying.

“I'll go home to my village. But I will definitely return to Jakarta to meet you.”

“Or I will visit your house, yes. Hehe” Connect with a smile.

“I leave first, yes. My online taxi has arrived. You also go back to the store, don't let you get fired like me. Hehehe.” Ailey said with a small laugh.

The afternoon air breathes coolness but a little damp is felt in the skin. Raindrops began to fall as if delivering Ailey's departure. A strong determination to heal her pain formed in her heart before finally having the courage to return to Jakarta. He will make sure, one day there is no bitterness when setting his foot again in the city.
