Heavy rain has just flushed the city of Jakarta so dense that it leaves a cloudy night with very cold air. Accompanied by a cup of Americano coffee, Milo gazed into the night sky with a glaring view of the outdoor cafe Engelskraft. His round eyes did not blink, he only looked on blankly.
“Master, why did You give this so difficult mission to me?” Mumbled alone.
The angel sighed then took the coffee cup that was on the table and sipped it slowly. The hot steam was still seen poking out from the surface of the cup as if to lead him back to the world that was above it. His mind was unclear.
“Why did you call me here, Milo?” Ask Ailey who just came to the Engelskraft cafe and immediately sat down next to the angel.
“Hei, Ailey!” Milo realizes Ailey's arrival, “Just want to chat, kok.” Further.
“What do you talk about? Why not bring Mario who is a fellow angel?” Ailey said plain.
“Hahaha. Precisely because he is also an angel, his point of view is the same as mine. I need a human like you who can provide another point of view.” Answer Milo.
“Heran, it should be a human being who asks for an opinion on a sacred entity like you.”
“Start again, ‘kan. All your creations must be holy, really. Sometimes his life choices alone make him stained.” Said Milo while glaring into the night sky.
Ailey only smiled slightly as she was again reprimanded by the same thing Milo had once explained. The woman leaned back into the chair and looked up. He wondered why Milo was so serious about looking at the sky.
“According to you, Master will be angry not if His creatures violate the rules set by Him?” Milo opened the conversation.
“Seriously one of your questions. You should know better than me.” Ailey was confused.
Milo only fell silent while closing his eyes as if deepening the question he had spoken himself. Ailey looked at the scene next to her in surprise. However, he somehow felt sadness on the face of the perfect angel.
“Look, there may be a time when God is angry at his creation, but that doesn't mean he hates it, does it?” Ailey continues to feel bad for Milo.
“Iya, anyway. I'm just afraid He'll snatch something valuable from me if He gets angry.” Reciprocity.
“Isn't nothing more precious than God Himself?” Ask Ailey.
Milo sighed again, “That's exactly the problem. Looks like I've violated the rules.”
The night wind is getting stronger. The rustling of the plants around broke the silence. It turns out that not only humans have trouble walking straight in His way, but angels do too.
“What's wrong with you?” The woman grew curious, her tone sounded worried.
“Ailey.” Milo paused for a moment. “Will you forgive me if I love a human being?” He said as he turned his eyes towards Ailey.
Ailey's heart pounded as soon as her eyes looked directly at the angel. It was as if the human being that Milo was referring to was himself. His gaze was locked by both eyes of Milo who saw him so deeply. The two living entities stared at each other for some time. No flinching.
“Ailey.” Mumbled Milo mentioned the woman's name once again while bringing his face closer to Ailey who was leaning on the chair.
“A...I don't understand your point.” Cut Ailey while re-enforcing her body.
Milo who noticed the nervousness in Ailey's heart immediately pulled back his face away from the woman. I don't know what he wants to do. Or did the angel want to kiss her?
“I'd better go home. It's getting late.” The woman said groggy as she moved out of her chair.
Not yet Ailey had time to move from that place, Milo clasped his hand and stopped his steps. Ailey who was shocked turned towards Milo and looked at him with a red face.
“Can you not get too close to Abram's CEO?” Milo asked suddenly with a look of compassion.
Ailey who was confused by what was going on immediately let go of the angel's grasp. Clumsily, he walked quickly away from Milo who was still sitting with a clear face. The sound of his heartbeat still sounded loud in his ears to make the rhythm of his footsteps irregular.
His hands were placed on his cheeks to feel how hot the body was flowing into his face. Milo's statement about romance with humans alone has made the woman thump, especially coupled with her request to stay away from Kevin. It was quite serious in his heart. On the one hand, Ailey is still somewhat traumatized by what happened to her when she was young so she is quite disturbed if there is a man close to her, even if it is an angel. He also did not want to trust too much the debate he felt at that time. His fear of men still haunts him.
Mario who realized something had happened immediately came to Milo who was still sitting casually staring at the sky. The clouds still covered the night so the moonlight was still stuck up there.
“Why did Ailey walk out in such a hurry? What did you tell him?” Ask Mario curious.
“It seems your word is true. I save the taste towards that woman.” Obviously Milo.
“Do not talk strangely! I ‘kan already warned you not to have any feelings with humans. You are crazy!” Mario Protests.
“If humans can fall in love, why can't angels?” Milo asked sadly.
“Omonganmu has digress. We can only love the Master who created us, that is the rule. Looks like I'll have to take you back upstairs.” Said Mario anxiously.
“No!” Reject Milo. “My mission is not finished yet, we can't go back!”
“I don't care about your mission. My mission has failed, I have to take you back home!” Evidently.
Silence enveloped the place. Milo stood facing his partner and showed a clear face. As if she had no hope, she dropped her knees to the ground with teary eyes.
“I beg you, wait for me to finish my mission. I beg.” Said Milo in a loud voice.
Mario who saw the condition of his friend was touched. He saw sincerity emanating from the angel's eyes. With a heart of pity, he tried to hold back his emotions.
“Already, don't kneel again! The free you kneel before me, won't change anything! I understand, I understand.” He said as he raised Milo's body to stand up.
“Please promise me once your mission is complete, you'll be back upstairs soon. No matter what holds you back, you won't buy any more time.” Said Mario.
Milo nodded while wiping away the tears welling up on his eyelids. He knew, as a masterful angel, his place was his master's house. He must return to heaven once his duty on earth is done because only the Master has the right to his life.
