Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels

Engelskraft: Love of Wasted Angels
Secrets, Will It Reveal?

The weather clouded that morning. The roar of the vehicle horn followed in the middle of Jakarta's traffic jam. Holding the wheel, Kevin seemed to hold back his emotions. As much as possible he did not want to show his upset face. Not because of traffic jams, but a fight with his future fiancee.

“Why do you defend the woman continuously?” Tanya Lina who was sitting in the passenger seat.

“Not defending, but don't you think it's too much to just fire Ailey?” Answer Kevin.

“I'm responsible for your company's operations, it's natural that I cracked down on what he did yesterday that closed the store faster! Not according to SOP!” Strictly that woman.

“She ‘kan has passed 3 months trial period, at least you can issue a warning letter first. If this is the way, Abram's reputation can be ruined in the eyes of other employees.” Obviously Kevin while driving with great care.

“What's wrong with you? Ever since that woman worked at Abram City Mall, you've changed. You're so mushy.” His word.

Kevin just silently listened to Lina's words. He also realizes the changes that have happened to him when it comes to Ailey. But he does not want to admit it, his pride as a man feels disturbed because it is said to be soft.

“Give Ailey a warning letter, if she does anything wrong again, you can fire her. This is an order from CEO Abram!”

Lina smiled sinisterly as Kevin was still trying to protect the men. He threw a face holding back the anger raging in his chest. The CEO's orders are absolute, the woman is powerless with the power of her potential fiance. Holding back the tears from flowing down her cheeks, Lina let out a long sigh of calmness.

“This what drug?” Lina asked while picking up one medicine between the seats.

“Medicine?” Kevin said as he turned to confirm the medicine held by Lina and refocused his attention to the road ahead.

“Hmmm, I don't know. Maybe my friend's medicine that had nebeng.” Kevin doesn't know.

Feeling suspicious, Lina put the medicine in her blazer pocket. He felt that something was blocking from the drug because it was rarely seen in pharmacies in general. Lina took the phone from her bag and contacted one of her friends who worked in the lab. It seems like he wants to confirm something about the drug.

The atmosphere in the Abram Electronics store was gripping. Ailey and Siti stand facing the cashier table. There Lanny was sitting with a pouty face. Silence spread in the store until visitors do not feel at home linger there.

“Sorry.” Lanny said in a soft voice.

“What I said, what we are afraid of actually happened ‘kan,” said Siti. “We shouldn't trust you. Even our own boss's younger siblings can't melt his brother's heart.” Siti.

“Iya, sorry. I guess with good sales results, you can still be tolerated to close the store faster.” Lanny is sorry.

“And we have tried as hard as possible to improve the performance of the store. If you get fired because of yesterday's case, I won't forgive you even if you're my own superior brother.” Siti sounded annoyed.

“Already, rice has become porridge. We're also wrong for agreeing to his invitation, aren't we? Want how else.” Bright Ailey mediates.

“Ai, you're too good. Huh!” Siti's protest saw her friend's behavior was very innocent.

“I'm sorry once again. I will try to beg my brother not to fire you. So, forgive me!” Lanny sulked while displaying her big, clear eyes.

“Duh, why is he so different from Bu Lina, anyway? If this is his attitude how can we not forgive you.” Siti muttered while shaking her head.

“We're sorry, really. We are also prepared for the consequences we have to accept. Instead, you think about your relationship with Ms. Lina, apparently because of the case yesterday, you two became tense.” Ailey said worriedly.

“Yes, so emotional I can't keep my word. Looks like I'm missing.” Lanny said regretfully.

“Not excessive, really. Indeed, there must be someone who dares to fight Bu Lina.” Siti is excited. Then Ailey nudged Siti's elbow giving a sign not to heat up the young woman.

“You all right?” Ask Ailey.

Lanny let out a long sigh, while looking down, she told her brother's story, “From childhood, Lina was always given a big responsibility because she was the eldest child of the Marliani family. Since my father's departure, my mother has been getting tougher on him to prepare him to be the successor to the family's oil company. In the end, the name Marliani becomes a burden that must be borne until it unconsciously makes it ambitious to succeed so as not to disappoint the family, especially mother.” Evidently.

Ailey and Siti look at each other because they do not believe that the newly known Lanny has not long been able to tell a very personal thing like this. The two of them looked at Lanny who was sitting with a sad face. Feeling sympathetic, Ailey clasped Lanny's hand over her lap.

“But if the burden has to make my brother a heartless person, I don't want it. I miss my brother who is able to laugh freely and with kindness, just like when he was there. I miss Lina getting back to being herself.” Said the girl stammering with tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Sorry, if we ever vilify your sister. We know, Miss Lina must have been as kind-hearted as you. Hopefully your hope will be fulfilled, yes. I can't wait to see a good Bu Lina like you said it was.” Ailey cheers.

Lanny sobbed while hugging Ailey who was standing in front of her. It seemed like he had kept it to himself for a long time and was forced to accept the changes that had happened to Lina. It broke her heart and tormented because her brother was like the Marliani family robot who demanded her to always be perfect.

“Wah, it looks like I came at an inopportune time, yes.” Said Milo who was visiting.

“Oh, Mr CEO Engelskraft! Sorry for this inappropriate view. Can anyone help?” Ask Siti in shock.

“I want to ask you about one of your products. Ailey, can you help me?” Milo.

Ailey pats Lanny on the shoulder and hands it to Siti. As a professional SPG, he will be ready to serve visitors who come even if the person is his own friend.

“There can I help?” Ask Ailey politely.

“Not to be so stiff. Actually I'm here to tell you something.” Milo said carefully.

“What is it?”

“I want to warn you that your life is not okay. It's related to your biggest secret.” Milo whispered.

“What secret do you mean?” Ailey asked worriedly.

“I'm not so clear either, but the abstract I get is you have to be careful. But stay calm, because only you can control your own life not others.”

“Why are you, anyway? I don't understand.”

“Ailey, I'll protect you no matter what.” Milo said in a serious tone.

Milo's eyes made Ailey uncomfortable. He knew that the angel was not joking. If the secret in question was about her illness, Ailey would definitely be devastated. The secrets that were guarded years perfectly didn't seem to be going to last long.
