PRISONER OF LOVE LOVE THE WIDOWER

PRISONER OF LOVE LOVE THE WIDOWER
Part 8's. Unwanted Meetings 2

Mr. Derrick this if invited to chat turned out to be rame too. Maybe because business people are used to talking to anyone. But he knew I didn't want to talk about Mr. Arnold Lam, so he avoided the topic for the next time. Not bad this Sunday night there was a good conversation.

“The average advertising person I met as young as a good idea. Youth is indeed happy, ideas flow easily.”

“Iya creative team many young people ngocol Pak. Sometimes they think out of the box for the initial ideas, live senior sorting that is a bit off the mark that might not be hit, he said, sometimes the upper levels are also old school people so must be smart to give ideas, sometimes fortunately.” I told him about some ideas that went too far apart that I had rejected. The conversation flowed smoothly, until time was not felt.

“Your words are here? Mama thought she heard wrong..” I turned to the side of my dear Mama, but beside her was a man I least wanted to see right now. Arnold Lam's.

“Derrick, it turns out you two are having dinner together. It just so happens that we meet here. Lien, this friend Koko has known for a long time. Coincidentally he said his client Tata.”

“Ohh, it turns out her pondering sister Arnold.” Now Mr. Derrick is wrong because Mama called Koko. My mom smiled, saying nothing.

“Not-not. He's my son..” Turns out he dared to admit I was his daughter in front of Mr. Derrick.

“A..nak? So's this... Ohhh.” Mr. Derrick was flabbergasted, apparently somehow he knew a piece of the story behind this. Now surely all those close-man scenarios were erased in his head.

“Later me story. We can join your table.” Plus with his courage to tell me I knew they were close.

“Oh, please Brother Arnold, Mother Lien.” I sighed, the dinner that had been fine was now stuffy. Mr. Derrick seemed a little offended to start the conversation after finding out I was Arnold Lam's son. But I don't even want to say anything anymore. Just want to go home now, the table is quiet for a moment.

“I Mama Anita, nice to meet Dek Derrick.” Finally, my mom started the conversation.

“It's nice to meet Bu Lien too. No wonder Anita is so beautiful. Her mother turned out to be more beautiful.”

“Nak Derrick could have,..” Mama called Nak, mama was also fooled by this young battery. “You've known me a long time?”

“Ohh not yet, we just had a cooperation this month, but I and Brother Arnold have known for a long time, I consider him Big Brother. My boss in Hong Kong also knew Brother Arnold.” a long time ago This Derrick seems to be a professional person, not an owner, but one whose boss trusts him to hold the management like him.

“So.”

“Good words Japan.” Now Mr. Lam is trying to talk to me.

“Lumayan, ..” I answered as necessary.

“She likes home-cooked meals.” My mom answered it for me. I don't understand love, I don't understand why Mama can accept her status as a single parent and still be like a close friend to my biological father. Ever since I found out at the age of 15 he was my father, I very rarely wanted to see him unless forced by Mama. Maybe during my age range from 15 to 35, these twenty years were not up to 5 times that I remember I met him.

Mama says she's not a man who denies responsibility, but they can't be together because of circumstances, Mama doesn't want to destroy Papa's relationship with her family, so she's willing to make this friendship. Papa keeps sending money to Mama secretly from his family. Why is Mama willing to sacrifice so much for people who can't be next to us, I don't understand Mama's logic.

I had to sit there because I had a mother. Somehow Mr. Derrick's relationship with Mr. Lam was I don't know, until he felt fine letting Mr. Derrick know all this. What is clear is that all these family issues are too heavily discussed in front of strangers.

“Ma, it's night I think we'll just go home.” Everyone knows this meeting shames me, the family thing at this table.

“It's night week, ga pa-pa malem dikit Ta.” I sighed softly hearing Mama's words, now I don't know what to say.

“Iya Ma.” Maybe this makes him happy. “Mama and Uncle Lam have eaten?” I haven't been able to call him Papa yet. But well there's no point in saying any statement right now.

“Then, we were sitting at the end of there. Your mom recognized your voice, she thought you were having dinner with a close friend. So he wants to see who.” is Ohh, no need to mention, my Mama is like any other Mama, she said it would be better for me to have ‘life friends’. Though I told you my principle of happiness comes from ourselves not others. The principle that happy singles hold like me.

”Iya Mama thinks your girlfriend is handsome. Sorry yes dek..”.

“Aki-aki, who? You said aki-aki.”

“No, I don't think anyone else is Mr. Derrick.” Useless defense, she knows I call her Aki-aki. Oh my goodness. Why can I be so excited.

“Indeed how old is Mr. Derrick, this is my son sometimes ngaco.”

“I 47.”

“However..” It seems Mama wasn't sure she heard the exact numbers.

“47.”

“Oooooh so..” Mak gosh ‘Ooo” is long really, “I thought Mr. Derrick this as long as my son you know.” Mama nodded and I closed my face. After this I'll get in trouble because of this CEO Aki-aki. My job will be complicated after this. Maybe the boss can go to me.

“Pak Derrick, sorry I really didn't mean that, I just marveled at his youthfulness Mr.” I have to apologize again. This time, put your hands in front.

“Ohh so. I have not reached the level of aki-aki, which I know the batteries are already using sticks. That's not what brother Arnold.” is  Mama grinned, Uncle Lam up ahead laughing.

“Nih child is indeed careless Mr. Derrick. Please don't take heart.” Mama's apologizing to Mr. Derrick.

“Kak Lien, I'm familiar.” But while glancing at me. I'm not sorry. Jeez, why did it slip.

“Aki-aki is a female heartbreak, who chants bejibun.”

“That's his name... “ Want to talk ‘previledge’ not so, afraid of being discounted my bill.

“Spit it out.**” Mr. Derrick grinned at me. I bales nyengir\, but dare not say. (**spit it out = talk let's try”)

“Means that handsome people who love yes a lot Pak.”

“Pinter ngelesnya yes, you said I aki-aki?”

“Well sorry sir, it's aja hyperbola majas sir, it's good to say the battery-aki even turned out to be young.”

“Oh so. Pinter also kamu” I grimace wide, deg-degan he offended kukatain aki-aki.

But he did not dispute again it seems and then Mama invited to talk to a more general matter. It's fortunate that Mama diverted it, and it seems that since I'm Brother Lam's son, she won't make things difficult for me.

We finally went home too. Because it's already night. May that handsome Aki not take heart for my brazen lethargy.

“Gakang thought yes ageless father earlier, but still handsome, seriously Mama did not think he already 47.” Mama was still talking about those batteries when we got home. “But why he doesn't want to be merried ya.”

“Kaya she is dapetin girl easy time Ma. Just blinked, he himself said, single is simpler, but he already has children. 18 Years said.”

“Ohh, so?”

“Says so Ma.” I shrugged, there's no point in talking about those handsome batteries.
