Today is Papa's birthday, only this time I have a chance to celebrate it, and right on the weekend, Papa is improving, his face looks brighter, thank God. Ko Derrick made something for Papa. While I ordered tumpeng and birthday cake for Papa, the Indonesian way of birthdays. Aunt Yun Lan must be fascinated with the tumpeng later, no doubt.

“Good daughter-in-law candidate,..” Aunt Yun Lan patted Ko Derrick on the shoulder, while Aunt Yun made a beef kailan, and a long-lived noodle, we ate at home because papa was not too healthy that afternoon, seeing him working in the kitchen making sweet sour carapace and chicken kungpao, I laughed with Papa.

“I can't cook Auntie, she can. I ordered rice tumpeng only,..”

“What is rice tumpeng.”

“Ohhhh that's delicious. You should see later.” Papa immediately liked it, and gave the picture to Aunt Yun.

“Jeez it's a mountain of rice, yellow, what is it? Some kind of curry rice? Looks really good.”

Koko's phone rang, she saw him and caught him. This time he spoke Canton.

“I send my location.” Sending location? Cherrie is not ready to come.

“Ko Cherriekah?” I asked Ko Derrick out of curiosity.

“Iya, rich he wants to come.” I can't believe, with his words to us that soon he wanted to come, apparently he still saw Papa. Mercifully. I'll be nice to her, if she's nice to Papa.

“Cherrie?” Aunt Yun Lan immediately asked in surprise.

“Cherrie? What happened to Cherrie?” Papa immediately asked.

“He wants to come here,..”

“Ehm, we came and apologized for trying to talk to him yesterday. Papa is sick, so I think Papa would be very happy if he could come here on his birthday.” Papa and Aunt Lan looked at me and looked at me.

“He knows who you are?” Papa asked directly.

“I told him, it seems that he can accept it, but yesterday he was so tight, me and Ko Derrick didn't think he was willing to come.”

“Thank you. True you said, Papa is lucky to have you who dare to embrace your sister, you gather is the best gift.” Everyone's smiling now, I'm so glad Papa looks happy. We can gather here, simple, cook a meal together, this is the best time.

“Next year we invite everyone to gather where celebrating Papa's birthday, in Bali maybe. Tata ngajak kebali, later Liam, and our children follow to Bali if they want. Let Derrick and Tata set yes, who knows Cherrie is still here too.” Aunt Yun Lan if you think about making the fastest event. He is the heart of this family, without him it feels like nothing is lacking.

“Ahh can Aunt, later New Year I definitely to HK, but pasir Papa we to Bali just the same sisters.”

“Aduh who feels the oldest.” Ko Derrick is teasing me. How else should I call them, they're my sisters aren't they?

“You cooked the right Koko, I'm hungry, don't comment just...”.

"Observe ya." I bullied him once.  Aunty and Papa burst into laughter now.
