Episode 82
Manira stood in front of the window of her room. He shed tears reminiscing about his childhood with Mahesa. At that time he was still very innocent. A little boy playing under a huge banyan tree, behind an old station. The little girl who was still sitting in 3rd grade SD was playing on a swing while holding a very beautiful wooden doll.
“Hai, Yasmin. But why alone? Where's your king?” he said speaking to the wooden puppet he was holding while sitting on the swing.
“If you are the queen then I am the king,” said Mahesa who suddenly sat beside Manira while showing a very handsome wooden doll.
Manira was very happy. They juxtaposed the two puppets like a very happy couple of queens and kings. Both of them seemed happy to play a fairy tale about the king and queen that made them seem to live in the story. A still very beautiful childhood. Full of joy and happiness.
“Aren't you going back to your father's and mother's house far away? Will you remember me?” ask little Manira.
Manira smiled, “I will definitely be waiting for you,”
Manira reminisces about their wonderful childhood before an old chariot takes her little king away from her for a very long time. Once back, he was already a much different figure. She is now the queen and Mahesa the king. But their lives are not as sweet as the fairy tales they played as children.
The longer Manira feels that her life is not going well. Every night she was like a bar dancer who had to show her beauty in front of a lot of men. She is not appreciated by her husband and may have been betrayed. Manira cries remembering all her travels in this beautiful city that turned out not to be as beautiful as she had dreamed. Every day he had to let the evil-eyed men look at him with a scary look, every day always feeling like he was selling himself, he said, every day should also endure the pain of seeing her husband make out with another woman.
Manira crying. He felt unable to live his days anymore. But he tried to survive. He tried to be happy for Mahesa. No matter how much pain he was in right now, it was still not worth the pain of losing Mahesa. That's Manira's greatest folly, falling in love with the wrong person. Despite knowing that she was hurt, she still couldn't stop loving.
Cuckoo....
Manira is shocked to hear Mahesa open the door. There is a sense of sadness because the man she loves cannot love her like he loves her. There was a fear if Mahesa did something as strange as before. Manira feels she can never recognize the real Mahesa. The Mahesa she met now was far from her expectations where she expected a man who loved her sincerely and treated her lovingly. All he met now was a cold-handed businessman who had everything, who seemed to be standing inside a glass cabinet that made him unable to reach the man even though they were very close.
“Why is it here?” ask Mahesa.
