Hasan was no longer able to do this. Initially, the threat of Juragan Damar made him silent, not daring to do anything but just submit to see this injustice. But now the anger made him dare to rebel. He intended to leave Ratmi because he could not stand all this rot.

“I want us to split up,” Hasan said with great confidence.

“Mas...mas sure?” Ratmi is shocked to see Hasan's courage in rebelling.

“All is clear,” Hasan has completely closed the door of his heart to Ratmi. He no longer wanted to be affected with his sweet mouth or tears. He used to love her very much and could be easily crushed by her sweet mouth. But now, enough of this betrayal.

“Mas...”.

“Not a single man would willing his wife to sleep with another man, in front of his eyes. I feel like I'm the most stupid person to always be silent to see your rottenness,”

“Mas. I love mas but without Juragan Damar... we can not live without money..” replied Ratmi who still felt that his actions were right.

Hasan threw away the money Ratmi had been giving him. The money is a gift from Juragan Damar for the willingness of Ratmi who had spent the night with him. Hasan did not want to accept the dirty money. Although he had to live only as a salty fishmonger, for him it was better than eating illicit money.

“If I keep quiet, it means I have sold my own wife,” Hasan denied.

“You don't love me,” Hasan already can't be affected by Ratmi's love words anymore. “It is your greed that wants to get everything you want,”

“Mas not afraid of the threat of Juragan Damar?”

“I'm a boy, I have pride. Even if I have to die of hunger.. I will not eat from selling my own wife,”.

“How about Gibran?”

“He's got a real dad who's got everything. Just give him back to his father,”

“It's impossible. Juragan Damar still has a legitimate wife. Anyway..”.

“Good if you realize that. May you also realize that what you are doing is destroying the lives of many people,”

“All will be fine if mas stays here,”

“Since the beginning nothing was okay. Isn't this good? Once I'm gone you can go free with Juragan Damar. Just enjoy your life and don't regret it if someday karma speaks,”

Hasan is gone. He brought all his clothes. Ratmi could not hold back Hasan who had already rounded his throat. From the beginning, Hasan had thought about it. But that time his guts were too small that he did not dare to be firm. He did not dare to leave Ratmi or judge Juragan Damar who had been perverted with his wife. Now Hasan's disappointment and anger were too great to give him the strength to make such a big decision.

He gave up fighting for the woman he loved. She had thought that she could gradually turn Ratmi into a better woman. In fact, all of Ratmi's heart and mind have been covered by money to make her love is eliminated. Love, although still there but has almost no place in Ratmi's heart. His love is outdone by the demands of life and the greed for money. Hasan surrendered. He lets go of the woman he loves the most who prefers money over love.
