Episode 61

“Bapak interested??? If you don't take this opportunity, maybe five or ten years down the line there will be someone else standing in this place as the boss...” Gibran said hinting that someone else could have taken the opportunity to build a resort here and become a big boss.

Mr. Arman looked at Gibran, wanted to say something but hesitated, “I will think. I'll tell you later,” answered in short.

The rich man who initially wanted to find land for the mall got into his car. It's been about a month now that he's been looking for the right land for his new business. A luxury shopping venue that is the tenth of its business series as a big boss. As he looked at the land beside the old tunnel, he thought, what can be done with the land that is like a dead city and far from a big city? How could anyone want to come to this remote place, just to shop? But Gibran's idea was enough to give another discourse in his mind. He began to think, what if he tried the resort business? Something new that he had never tried before and it looked interesting.

Only, his pride spoke little. In his mind there was some sort of doubt or considerable prestige that said, how could I possibly believe this lunatic? How could I possibly submit and follow the words of this lunatic? Appearance is a reflection of a person's self-worth. Gibran's crazy-like appearance with his seedy clothes and seedy hair made people hesitate to follow his words, even though the idea was very good. Mr. Arman hesitates, what if his business partner finds out that he's been following the idea of a madman? Now it all depends on how far Gibran's words can affect the super rich and brilliant man. But, so far everything Gibran said is enough to make Mr. Arman THINK to consider it. This is the power of speech, this is the power of one's ideas that can change the way other people look and lead someone to think like what they say.

“Good,” Manira gave two thumbs up with pride. “Most of our marketing only explain about the price and land area to offer it to buyers. No one wants to buy this place because they feel they do not have any potential. But you try to see it in a different way,” continued Manira with admiration and do not believe that Gibran was much smarter than he imagined.

“Don't look at the raw material.

Same with a knife. One would probably just see it as a regular sharp object. But if we could explain various possibilities such as: it could be to cut, chop, slice or maybe there is a possibility to protect us from the attack of thieves, people would definitely be interested in buying it.

Same with a lady's handbag. If only displayed in the store may seem ordinary, what a great bag. But if we explain that by wearing these bags, people will look more beautiful, classy, modern and more confident. Then they would definitely start thinking about getting that little thing. Isn't everyone always interested in everything that can make them look classier and can bring in a lot of money?

That's what all this time is done by marketing personnel. Demonstrate all possibilities to influence people to buy their products. That is what Gibran did. His business talent was so thick that it flowed in his blood even though all this time he had never recognized Juragan Damar as his father, but blood could not lie. In the end the blood spoke for itself and showed its master. Without Gibran realizing it, the blood was also what formed his personal character. If anyone knew Juragan Damar, they would say that Gibran is a reflection of the Damar Juragan in the present.
