“Bapak not angry with mom?” gibran asked, astonished, after all that had happened Hasan still persisted and did not leave his mother.

“We are men. A man must be able to stand firm like a pole that will be the backing of everyone in it. Because if the pole collapsed then the entire building inside would also be destroyed,” Hasan replied, looking into Gibran's eyes.

Hasan knew, this whole thing was too painful. He had tried to advise Ratmi but to no avail. But he is the head of the family. He must try to maintain his household until the end point with full confidence that one day Ratmi can change. If he were to give up now, then his entire household building would definitely fall apart. Hasan did not want all that to happen. The key to the survival of his household was in his hands, a family head. If he gave up, everything would be ruined. He tried everything to be able to advise Ratmi and stop all that stupidity. Although it has not succeeded, at least now he must survive for Gibran. Because if he were to leave, he had no idea what would happen to such a small child whose future continues to be questioned for being born out of an illegitimate relationship.

“Gibran dear father..”

“Father is also dear Gibran,”

Hasan and Gibran returned from the market. Miris, at that time Juragan Damar was sitting in a chair with arrogance without a hint that he was in someone else's house and targeting people's wives. Gibran was furious to see this. He was so embarrassed to even feel disgusted to have such a father. In the eyes of Gibran and Hasan all the attributes of the greatness of Juragan Damar as an honorable person were already shattered into dust.

“Home home? Guess what you brought?” The Damar Juror handed over a book to Gibran.

Gibran. He was not considered a child by the man he hated. Gibran wanted to get angry but Hasan hurriedly held him back. Then Ratmi came, astonished to see Juragan Damar giving books to learn German.

“English? Juragan wants Gibran to learn German?” ask Ratmi.

“Sometimes I want him to go to Germany and take care of my business there,” he replied that Gibran was his first son, his pride, who would inherit his entire fortune.

Ratmi smiles happily seeing Juragan Damar has prepared the future of Gibran very well. Instead, Hasan felt discouraged. He couldn't give anything to Gibran. The poor man could only bow, ashamed of his helplessness. Gibran looked at Hasan and shook his head as if to say that his father was not worried about anything because he did not want all the wealth. Neither did Gibran ask for anything from Hasan, he just wanted to always be with his great father.

A few months later, Juragan Damar and Ratmi's affair began to become an open secret. Everyone knows but pretends not to know. They speak in silence. That is, in front of the Damar Spearmen they bow their heads but behind him they blaspheme as an evil husband. A husband who betrays his sickly wife.

Mahesa and Gibran have also grown into 12-year-olds. They go to the same school but never get along. Mahesa is affected by all the sloping news that says that her father is already having an affair with Gibran's mother. Although still a child, he could understand how much his mother suffered. She did not accept that her mother was treated that way. Every time she saw Gibran, Mahesh clenched her hands and raised her fists. Several times his teacher called their parents for a fight. If so, Juragan Damar will definitely scold Mahesa for being considered naughty.
