Episode 31

Gibran stood up and left Manira in a different direction. Let alone Manira who drowned in his own love, until now Gibran was not able to forget the love that became toxic to both parents. A love that is either a disaster or a punishment for everyone until everything falls apart. Gibran never stopped questioning why his life had become so miserable just because of the wrong love.

Gibran passed by with the same despair. That regret for the past has never paid off until now. Gibran missed his wonderful family. They have perfect parents and can live a normal life like any other child. But everything was destroyed. His past is destroyed, his future is no longer visible. Manira silently watched Gibran's back curiously, as if she could feel that Gibran felt the same wound as her, love.

The next morning, Manira came to Gibran, who was cleaning dry leaves under a banyan tree. The clean, beautiful, learned woman in knee-high white clothes, a maroon belt and white paint shoes, offered Gibran a package of bread as a thank you for saving her.

“Thank you..” said.

Gibran was silent for a moment. Wonderful, what makes the beautiful girl want to be friends with vagabonds like her while usually always yelled as ‘mad’ by small children and looked down upon by the station visitors. But today Manira stood before him and offered a loaf of bread as if offering a friendship.

“Why would you be friends with me?” gibran asked, receiving a piece of bread.

It seemed, last night he pondered a lot and this morning was able to find new hope in his life so that he could be better prepared for a hot life more than the sunburn at the end of the afternoon. Today Manira looks more beautiful and fresh. It was a very contrasting sight when a woman as beautiful as Manira had to stand parallel to a vagabond dressed as a moustache and dreadlocks like Gibran.

They sat under the banyan tree and enjoyed the bread. The two were still silent, reluctant to start talks with each other. Slender. There was only the chirping of birds on top of the banyan tree that colored their silence. Every now and then a dry leaf flew with the dust as if accompanying their mute encounter.

“You love him so much??” gibran suddenly dared to ask that question. His words were completely sane, firm and wise. Distinctly different from his messy appearance like a madman.

Manira stopped chewing. Suddenly it was like a tightness was coming back to her chest. He looked towards Gibran,

“I don't know. I just feel so missed him,” replied Manira who finally felt like finding a interlocutor who could understand his heart. During this time Manira has gone through many difficult days where everyone blasphemes his love and considers him stupid for only expecting one person and can not replace him with anyone. Although, no one can guarantee that her lover also still always misses her.

“Until he wants to kill himself for her??” gibran asked as if to denounce the stupidity of Manira who almost committed suicide on the train tracks.

“Because of love... sometimes a person can go crazy,” replied Manira, sad.

Seriate....
