Episode 32
“Someone who falls in love until almost crazy, no need to kill himself.. later also die,”.
“You mean???” Manira surprise.
“My father..” Gibran was silent for a moment. He was a little hesitant to call Juragan Damar his father. “Very loving my mother. One day she was jealous to see her mother with another man. Because it is too much love, it is too angry. He tortured my mother to her death. And in the end he himself drowned in regret and died languishing,” continued Gibran reminiscing about his dark story in the past.
Manira is shocked to hear the love story of Gibran's parents which is also very tragic. A very deep love that ultimately kills its own actors. Too much love, too afraid to lose, too sick, too sad, too angry, then too sorry. All involve feelings from the bottom of the heart to the bottom of the mind can not work well and in the end it all ends in destruction.
Manira is saddened to hear the love story of Gibran's parents which should have been so beautiful but became so heartbreaking. Manira asks again, why is love so painful? Love is an intangible feeling but its power is so extraordinary that it can destroy anyone who is in it, including himself who almost committed suicide.
“You are also like this because of love???” guess Manira who feels that people as melancholy as Gibran, must have been a very great person and turned pathetic because of love.
“Let's just say I'm a victim of someone's deep love, which makes them think only of themselves until they don't realize that many people are hurt because of their love,” replied Gibran still with a face full of disappointment to his late father and mother.
“Maybe this is the reason...” said briefly Manira.
“What reason?”
“This old station. You are here, I am here too. With the same desperation..perhaps so that we can make friends and understand each other,” said Manira offers friendship.
“I am not a heartbroken person,” Gibran replied affirming that his story was not what Manira had imagined. He was sure, Manira must have thought that she was desperate for a girl. “I do not believe in love..” continued Gibran stated that as if love is a disaster and there should be no one who can be trapped in it. No one should fall in love so no one gets hurt.
“You know what makes me feel better than yesterday???” asked Manira with a more cheerful and excited face.
Gibran just stared at Manira.
“Because I feel there's someone more sick than me. Someone who suffers and even almost crazy because of love,” he said as he looked at Gibran.
Manira felt alone. Being the most stupid person for loving someone. But the moment he met Gibran, especially the love poem Gibran read to him yesterday, made Manira feel that Gibran also felt the same pain. A person who is desperate, suffering and deeply hurt by love. Manira continued to look at Gibran as if giving reinforcement and said that,
“You are not alone,”
