Episode 62
The next few days, as Gibran was sitting under a tree, tidying up his disheveled broom, Manira came to him. Gibran looked up, astonished and curious. Manira seems to want to say something important.
“There is good news,” said Manira
“Your boyfriend is back?” guess Gibran because in his opinion, for Manira there is nothing more important than her lover returning to her.
“The landing sold. As promised....this is a commission for you,” Manira gave one brown envelope containing money.
Gibran accepted the money with a flat expression as if there was no difference between having money and not having money. He opened the envelope and looked at the contents.
“Can I give you a suggestion?” ask Manira.
“What?”
“You go to the barber. Cut your hair and shave your mustache until clean. Then take a shower and wear nice clothes,” he said while giving a grocery bag containing some new clothes that he had prepared for Gibran.
“One's worth is visible from his appearance. If you look like crazy, then people will also think you are crazy,”
Gibran smiled.
Gibran is like finding his life back. He rose after a long death. Now he has the passion and purpose of life. There was someone he wanted to make proud of all his success. Not just Hasan, as a figure who is quite important in Gibran's life. But also Manira who is very instrumental in raising his spirit. He wanted Manira to be proud to see him. He wants Manira to know that he can be someone great and can be proud of. Gibran promised himself that he would never let Manira down. After this, all Manira saw from him was a warrior who worked hard to achieve all his dreams.
“The money is quite a lot, what will you do?” manira asked, curious about what Gibran would do with the commission money on the sale of the land yesterday.
“I will open the workshop,” he replied excitedly.
Now he has even changed his appearance. For a moment, Manira did not recognize the handsome man standing before her. No longer a tangled-haired man, now he had cut his hair neatly. She had also taken a shower and changed her clothes in clean, fragrant and neat clothes. There was no longer the old station-waiting youth who was clad in sepulchral. There was a handsome guy in a slippery shirt, dressed in fashionable jeans and wearing white shoes. If you don't see Gibran often, if you don't know him before, then, they would definitely not have anyone know that the man was the same man as the crazy man who had always kept silent under the banyan tree while cleaning the dried leaves.
Manira smiled proudly, happy because finally Gibran rose from his slump. He was happy to see someone rediscover his spirit and his life purpose. The spirit, like a battery that turns on a robot to be able to move and walk. Such is the spirit that now makes Gibran rise and pursue all his pending dreams.
Some say that the human mind is like a magnet that attracts all human attitudes and actions. When Gibran is desperate and feels his life is worthless, he lets himself crumble who just stands in the corner of the station like trash. He did nothing because he was not sure of himself. But once Gibran rediscovers his spirit and is convinced that he can rise and succeed, then by himself all paths open. There are a lot of ideas and ideas to do something that ultimately finds its own way to make it happen in the real world.
