Ratmi is disappointed to hear the news of Sarifah's pregnancy because it means Juragan Damar will never divorce Sarifah and marry her. For a while, Juragan Damar and Ratmi return to their respective lives even though the relationship between the two has not really ended. Whatever happens, Juragan Damar will never be able to let go of Ratmi's hand. He would never be able to stop loving Ratmi. Even he to think that maybe it should be like this love journey. Forever she has to play cat-and-cat with everyone to be able to stay with the people she loves.
A few months later a Gibran was born from Ratmi's womb in front of which everyone was recognized as Hasan's son. Five months later, Mahesa was born as the crown prince of wealthy master Damar Adijaya. Ratmi was envious to see the birth of Mahesa which was greeted with a festive feast for seven days and seven nights, inviting many wealthy merchants, with many perfect traditional rituals. While the birth of Gibran was not greeted with any fanfare. She was only welcomed as a small baby born to an un-distributed poor family. Ratmi is very upset, Gibran is the first son of a wealthy businessman but he seems to be banished from his family lineage and replaced by another baby who should not be welcomed as special.
“Stay be a husband to Ratmi and a good father to my son, or I make sure you will never be able to live quietly,”
Juragan Damar's threat came months ago after he decided not to divorce Sarifah. He knew that Hasan was fed up with all of Ratmi's rottenness and wanted to leave her. But Juragan Damar couldn't let that happen. If Hasan divorces Ratmi, Ratmi will live alone without a clear status. The baby will also not have a father figure that can take care of him. Therefore, she threatens Hasan to remain Ratmi's husband and take care of her and her child, something Juragan Damar cannot do. Parent Damar is willing to pay a heavy price for all of Hasan's theatrics while pretending to be a good husband to Ratmi and a good father to his son. No one should know this truth.
Hasan had no other choice. The Damar Jurors were very influential. He was not sure that he would be able to live well either in this village or in another because Juragan Damar would definitely deploy all his men to make things difficult for him. Not only threatened not accepted to work everywhere, Hasan also threatened will not be accepted in any village. That's why, he must still survive even though his heart is already very sore with all the things that happened. He was disgusted every time he saw Juragan Daman with Ratmi. But money and wealth rule over everything until Hasan has no recourse but to turn a blind eye to all their corruption.
