I WASN'T...

I WASN'T...
Still Honey

"Where's mom?" Gilang walked beside me, towards his car parked in front of the gate of my house.

"Morning shift," I answered briefly, replied with a nod from Gilang.

"Gue didn't see your father and brother? Already behind work?"

"They've been back since yesterday morning. They took a sudden leave of absence, so now a lot of work is piling up. The sooner they get back to work, the better for them. Besides, I'm healthy."

Today was my first day back at school. Pleasure and sadness are mixed into one. Of course I am happy because I can continue my activities as an ordinary student, despite having to catch up for the last three months.

On the other hand, I feel sad because there is no longer a Rena that fills my days. My friend is calm in nature. In fact, to visit in a dream, Rena was reluctant.

Gilang walked ahead of me when we arrived on the left side of the car. "Please" he said, opening the door.

"Alays!" say me while grinning, but I did not reject Gilang's offer. As soon as the car door closed, Gilang immediately circled the car to sit in the steering chair.

"Loof!" he started his car, then we drove across the busy city streets in the morning. "What is your current "condition? Is anyone sick? Have you had breakfast? Any medicine to take?"

"After a week of extra rest at home, I got a headache from sleeping too much" I. My hands moved, twitching my forehead, as if my head was hurting. "But you don't have to worry. Rena has a strong heart. That's enough to keep me alive."

"Lo's sure?" Gilang. I nodded, sure of what I said. "Gue took you for a walk, right? You don't want to."

"Right turn!" I warned when Gilang wrong turn on the sein lamp. "Gue must completely recover if he is to remain here. So, I'm trying not to over-examine my energy."

"But you want to go on a date with Satya."

I look surprised. My feeling is that there is no story to Gilang. Satya was also not the bucket-mouthed type of person, so there was no way she would confide in Gilang.

"Really, huh?" Gilang chuckles seductively. "Gue's just frivolous, anyway," he added, making me gape in disbelief.

Holy hooch! Looks like he could be a great detective if he got into the police force! Gilang's intuition and observation, could be said to be extraordinary!

"When?"

Huh, dilutjin! I sighed before I answered. "Satya's brother just to say it, Gil!"

"What do you think, all that Satya did was just careless?"

"Different context!"

Gilang even laughed softly. "Satya still loves you. He's re-approaching."

"Morning still, Gil. You don't have to digress" I advised. I took a few breaths, and then slowly breathed. I try to control my fast heart rate. Gilang's words made me unable to focus.

"This is a left turn?"

"Yes." Yeah."

No one brought up the problem of Rena donating her heart to me. They just said they were sorry for Rena's passing. Some people told how they attended Rena's funeral the other day.

That afternoon, on my second break, I decided to go to the cafeteria. Heard a lot of people telling me about Rena, making my chest tight. I want to cry again. But, this is at school. If I cry bar-bar, my eyes will be swollen and I will sleepy in the next lesson. After that cry, it is most delicious if you go straight to sleep.

"Why alone?"

I looked up to hear Satya's voice coming from behind me. "Just get some rest, brother?" my greeting. In the past, when I was still having a heart attack, I hated the same people who appeared suddenly and made me shocked. But now, I love the times where Satya was suddenly all around me. Smiling like this moment.

Satya sat next to me without excuse. "No more appetite?" Satya glanced at my empty soto bowl half and it started to cool. "Forced to eat, Deb, so that your stomach has its contents. You have to remember, if you get sick, you can do the business."

"Yes, I understand." I put a mouthful of soto into my mouth. Soto's taste in the canteen did not change. Stay good and legit. "Satya didn't order a meal?"

"Gue had eaten the sandwich earlier in class. I want to see your condition on the first day of school, but when you go to class, you are not there. That's why I came here."

"Gue is not a problem with the same rules. They're kind. There's even something I'm sure I'm eating together in the cafeteria," I'm churning soto in front of me, "but I want to be alone."

When I glanced at Satya, she was watching me unabashedly. A faint smile adorned his face. Rena's heart was pounding hard again.

"Other times, if you still feel uncomfortable, you can invite me to eat in the cafeteria. I can accompany you" said Satya. "By the way, what's our date problem?"

"Ohuk!" I'm choking on soto's brood.

"Drink, drink!" Satya thrust an orange ice into my mouth. "Slow down, Deb!"

I immediately rubbed the corner of my mouth with tissue after chugging my orange ice. "Satya's sister said what, anyway?"

"Gue is serious."

My face is heating up. Suddenly I was deprived of oxygen. "Ken..can?" I'm slowing down the sound.

"After recovering like this, it will be redundant if you do not try new things. I'm running to be your tour guide."

Ooohs.. That meant. Hmmmm.. My spirit instantly evaporated. It turns out the meaning of the word 'date' for Satya, equivalent to a tour guide.

"Gue has also learned basic life support. If necessary, you can tell which drugs are important if anything happens. My memory is good. I'll memorize it quickly."

Hhh... That's what you want to go for a walk? This is what it's like to fly high, then fall at a speed of a hundred kilometers per hour.

I blinked, shocked at my thoughts. Why am I so lethargic because of Satya's words? Why only tour guides? That shouldn't change the fact that Satya is a good friend. He was just worried I was bored because Rena wasn't there anymore.

"You guys are with Gilang?" ask me while waking up from the strange delusion.

Satya fell silent. Smile disappeared. His eyes glinted creepily. "Why Gilang again, anyway?" ask her with a flat expression.
