My eyes blinked. I woke up to the sound of a child near where I was sleeping. As I looked up, Satya smiled.
I pulled my body which was still leaning against Satya's chest. "How long do I sleep?" I rubbed my eyes that could not focus.
"About half an hour."
I set my breath to restore my scattered soul during sleep. "Gue dreamin Rena again," said I limp. "This is a second dream. The dream is exactly the same. Rena didn't want to talk to me, and then she disappeared."
Satya was silent. I also did not expect any answer regarding Rena from Satya. I just need to be heard.
"In my dreams, she's beautiful as always. It's just, paler. Her wavy long hair is beautiful." I turned towards Satya who was still flinching. "Has Satya never been interested in Rena?"
Satya. He rubbed his head awkwardly. "He's just a friend to me. I've never seen Rena as a woman."
"Satya's sister is weird," I laughed softly. "For the rest of my life, no one has rejected Rena. Everyone fell in love and vied to get Rena's heart."
"Except me." Satya grunts. "It's not beauty that makes me fall in love."
Strange murmurs are back. I began to enjoy the new reactions that this heart gave me. It feels weird, but it's beautiful.
"When are you coming home?"
"Tomorrow."
Satya nodded. "What time? I can skip tomorrow."
"There's no need to skip, brother," I said. This kid, already in twelfth grade, but still can think of skipping. "Gue will adjust my home hours, so that it is the same as my school hours. So, Satya can come here when school is over."
"What about Aunt Linda?"
"Gue will go with Sis Satya, even though I forbid it later."
Satya held my hand. Our eyes were clinging to each other for a few seconds. Rena's heart beats faster, making me smile.
"Satya's brother ever met Gilang?" I suddenly remembered the same stone head man that was. I think if I meet him and become emotional, this time it doesn't matter.
"Why ask him?" Satya asked back. His expression turned moody. The smile that had been blotting out disappeared somewhere. "Kangen?"
I nodded while laughing. "From the beginning, I wasn't serious about him. Sis Satya herself knows, right, that I'm dating Gilang just to stay away from Big Brother because Rena likes Satya."
Satya's eye rays turned shady and more intense. I just realized, Satya was still holding my hand. At first I enjoyed every second when this heart was speeding, but over time, I became uncomfortable myself.
"Sister, I'm going back to the room, okay?"
"Tomorrow, I'll come with Gilang to pick you up. All this time, he didn't know that I met you in secret like this."
"He never came here?"
"Often and always evicted by security guards" answered Satya steadily, as if talking about himself.
I laughed, imagining how he and Gilang were always thrown out by the security guard every time they came to the hospital. "Sorry, yes, all this time I really didn't know if there was something like this."
Satya patted my head. "Not what," he replied with a knotty smile. "Makasi, Debbie... All this time you have been strong alone. From this moment on, I'll continue to be next to you and take care of you."
"Want me to take you to my room?" tawar Satya's.
I shook my head hard. "We met, didn't we, secretly. It's better for Satya to go home now."
"Tomorrow, I'll come at the same hour" Satya added.
I just answered with a smile. Feeling that our conversation was over, I chose to leave in front of Satya. I returned to the room with steady steps. Tomorrow, whatever happens, I'll go with Satya. I have to look at Rena's grave, thank her and apologize to her.
I was shocked when I opened the inpatient room door. Dad was sitting on the couch calling someone, while Sis Dika was sitting on my bed. Since when are they here? Did Mom give you any news?
"Dad? Brother Dika?"
"Ah, Debi's back," I spoke on the phone, then closed it. "Where have you been?" ask Dad when he approaches me. He helped me carry an infusion pole as I walked towards the bed.
"Debbi!" Brother Dika hugged me tightly. "Good God, my dear sister! Sorry, I don't know anything."
"When are you guys coming?"
Brother Dika took off his embrace, his eyes scrutinized me quickly. "Sister got there first, and Dad arrived a few minutes later. About thirty minutes ago," replied Brother Dika. "Where have you been? Hape you're not active?"
"Nyita's mother has been talking about Debi for the past three months."
Kak Dika's forehead is wrinkled. "Then, the one who replied to Brother's message all this time, is Mom?"
I can only shrug my shoulders. I haven't heard from my smartphone since I changed hands. "So, did you tell me everything?"
"Dad came straight here after hearing Mom's story. How can something as important as this just be told now?"
"I'm also shocked not to play, knowing you've had a heart transplant. Moreover, the donor is... Rena," Sister Dika was careful at the end of her sentence.
"Said Mom, all for Debi's sake," I repeated my answer yesterday. I sit on the bed. Dika's father and sister followed by sitting on the sofa. "Debi didn't know Mom's plan all along. Debi thought, Father and Sister Dika are busy, so never come here to see Debi."
"Where is possible!" snapped Brother Dika. Father rubbed his wrinkled forehead. "Whatever your reason, to me, I'm wrong you've hidden all this."
"We'll talk about this in the morning, please" Dad cut. "Looking at you alright, it looks like we can rest in peace tonight."
"Same father Brother Dika can return home," I proposed. "Tomorrow, Debi can go home after the treadmill check."
"Dad's gonna pick you up tomorrow."
"No need, Dad," I replied quickly, considering I have other plans for tomorrow. "When you get home tomorrow, Debi has a need. So, Debi's friend will pick Debi up at the hospital and take Debi home later."
"You need to rest" Dad refused.
"Mother is planning to take Debi out of town," I returned Dad's gaze boldly. "Debi tried to persuade, but Mom was stubborn. Tomorrow, Debi's going to Rena's grave. Debi doesn't know when I'm going to drag Debi away. Surely, after leaving this city, it will be difficult to return again."
"God! What else do I not know?" Dad grumbled to himself. "What's on your mother's mind?"
I didn't answer, because I didn't understand. Mom wanted to protect me, but it was too much. "As long as Debi's here, Debi wants to visit Rena's grave."
