I WASN'T...

I WASN'T...
Plan

Silang sat with his arms crossed in front of his chest. We just got to Gilang's house. As usual, Gilang pick me up every school disperse. On the way home, I told him in detail what happened between me and Rena. Gilang did not comment much, he listened more to my story and let me cry as much as possible.

"Lo recalcitrant, anyway!" Glazed head-scarf. "It's from the beginning I said, you have to tell Rena," he added. "Certainly Rena became very angry because she did not know anything, even though she is your friend. Rena should know everything she has to do with her."

"Hhh.." I took a deep breath. I don't know what to say. To defend myself, I don't think I have a right. It was my fault for keeping this a secret from Rena. "Yes, I was wrong. I have to apologize to Rena. But..."

"Lo can still say 'but'!?" grinny, look pissed. "Ck, tsk, tsk. There's no 'but', Deb! If you still value your friendship with Rena and still want to be friends with her, you have to apologize!" Gilang gave advice.

"Hhh..."

"When do you want to apologize? Now then? Later tonight? Or wait until tomorrow?"

"Gue hasn't dared, Gil," I'm my. My guts whistle every time I remember how angry Rena was at school. I looked out the window, where the sky seemed to be covered in cloudy clouds. The air was a little cold that day.

"Why are girls so complicated? Just apologizing is hard."

"Hhh..." It won't be that easy. Rena is on a black ride. Whatever I say won't get into his head. Any kind of defense would seem like a justification to me.

"Today! Anyway today, you have to go to Rena's house!" Gilang got up from his seat.

"Where are you going?"

"Kitchen. I'm hungry, I'm going to have lunch. Would you like to have lunch here?" tawang Gilang's.

I nodded weakly. My stomach is not hungry at all. "Gue just go home," said I to Gilang. I walked straight to the exit of Gilang's house. When he was on the porch of his house, drizzle greeted. A gray cloud hung low above my head. I walked half as far as running back home.

When I got home, I didn't change my clothes. I chose a relaxing fall on the living room sofa. I turned on the television and chose just any broadcast. I do not intend to watch anything, just want the atmosphere at home a little crowded because there is no one besides me.

Slowly, my eyes became heavy. The sleepiness has taken over most of my body. When it feels like my body has drifted out of nowhere, the ringing of my smartphone keeps me awake. My sleepiness immediately evaporated as soon as I saw the name plastered on the smartphone screen.

"Just, Deb!" greet the man across. His heavy voice was familiar to my ears.

"Corn, Brother! What's up?" I sat straight up on the couch.

"Gue wants to know how you are. Already eaten?"

Spontaneous, I smile. Satya was always this kind and kind. Right said Rena, I shouldn't have hurt Satya. "Gue's okay, brother."

"Good..."

Silence approached us. I enjoy how the breath of an unmoved Satya. My hands twisted the ash skirt that still wrapped my body. Although in silence, somehow I don't want this phone disconnected.

"Tonight..." Satya sounded hesitant before continuing, "is our school's final basketball game."

"Gue knew you couldn't come" his voice sounded desperate this time. I bit my lower lip to remind myself of my determination to stay away from Satya. "Gue wants to hear your voice before it matches later."

"Without me even seeing, Kak Satya's game must be good," I praise him sincerely. "After all, I'm not going to tell you that I'm going home too late" I remember that the game will be held at eight o'clock in GOR downtown.

"Lo again the same Glory?" satya asked, suddenly out the topic of conversation.

"No. He's at his house."

Silence back. I want to be encouraging before the game, but I can't find the right words for him. So I chose to be quiet again. Waiting for Satya to reopen our awkward conversation.

Randomly, in the midst of our silence, I imagine how it will be, when Rena expressed her love for Satya. Rena who likes Satya so much, will be a good couple. Rena can give support to Satya and will be profitable also for his future. There is no reason to reject Molly. They deserve to be happy both.

"Rena said she'd come."

"Rena will be a big fan," I laughed softly. "Don't, he's already prepared a banner for Satya's sister."

Satya did not answer. "Lo still don't want to tell me about your problems with Rena?" ask Satya at the end.

"We don't have a problem" I lied. There's no way I'm telling Satya the truth. Rena's plan tonight can't fail. "So it's just a little misunderstanding. But it'll be fine tomorrow."

"Rare you sure you need my help? I think Rena has been with me lately. He's also my crush."

"Rena so?" ask me to pretend to be surprised.

"He's been more open since you dated Gilang. Maybe he feels lost, so stick to me."

I can only smile at Satya's explanation. Rena's been so brave ever since I decided to dodge. I was too engrossed in Gilang, to forget how Rena struggled alone.

"Yes, it's good to take a break now. I'm relieved to hear that you're doing well" Satya said. "Later I'll tell you about the match. Hye!"

"Satya's brother!" call me, before Satya hangs up. I gathered up courage for a few seconds, then said, "excitement, Brother! May our school be the winner!"

And also, Rena managed to declare her love to Satya.

"Makasi, Debi."

I looked down, looking at the screen of my smartphone that still displays Satya's name. Actually I want to see the history of romance Rena created tonight. But I better not show up there. It could have made the atmosphere become chaotic and Rena even more angry.

Again, I lay down on the couch, kneeling my slightly sore forehead. I seem to cry mostly. Tomorrow morning, I'll apologize to Rena. I don't want our problems to be left out for too long. Besides, Gilang will continue to say if I do not apologize as soon as possible.
