I WASN'T...

I WASN'T...
Story Behind the Scenes

My brain turned to find a way to get Satya to back away and meet me secretly. A girl my age passed in front of me. I caught his hand. "Sir, can I ask you a favor?" ask me without further ado.

The woman examined me for a moment. "Solicit what please?" he looks careful.

"Please tell me the guy in the school uniform," I pointed to Satya, "to calm down and go to the hospital park. Tell me, too, he'll find the answer there. But, try not to let anyone else hear this message, huh?"

"That's all?" tanyanya.

I nodded. The woman agreed to my request without asking for anything in return. He immediately approached Satya and dragged her away from the entrance. At first, Satya refused and thrashed the woman's hand. There was a little bit of a mouth-bumping going on. However, eventually the woman was able to make Satya hear the message I sent. Satya immediately ran towards the hospital garden.

I can't be in a hurry. No suspicion should arise, because my face is recognized in this hospital. I'm behind the emergency wall. At any time, Mom can drag me back to the inpatient room. There must be a reason, why no one can look at me. This is a golden opportunity to know what happened.

Warm feeling hit my skin, as soon as I set foot outside the hospital building. When looking up, my eyes blinked because of glare by the scorching sunlight. The fresh air mixed with the smell of the trees, penetrated my lungs, replacing the inherent medicinal scent.

Not finished I enjoy the pleasure of free air, a circular embrace from behind. "Debi," whispered the man who hugged me.

I turned my head, finding Satya's face with closed eyes and frown. Her tears fell down my shoulders. His hands were clearly shaking.

"Debi.." call him one more time. "Thank God... Thank goodness I can see you again."

"Gue's fine, brother," I replied, trying to calm down. "Why is Satya's sister so melancholy?"

Satya took off her embrace, then twisted her body so we could face each other. She was not ashamed to cry in front of me. Not even trying to wipe away her tears. Satya didn't talk right away, but rather enjoyed the curves of my face. His hand cupped my cheek.

A strange leafan started appearing on my chest when I returned Satya's gaze. Her eyes are beautiful, as I remember. Her hair was slightly long, making Satya look sexy. I looked down, there was a strange heat. However, this time it was not from my heart that failed to pump blood, but from my cheek. The heat spreads to the ears.

"Bus..."

His soft voice made my hair bristling. My heart went faster many times over, like the sound of a drum hammering.

"Gue knew, I should have obeyed Aunt Linda's request not to come to the hospital. But, I can't. I always miss, always want to hear your voice again and again. It's gonna go crazy."

The heat, I can feel from head to toe. This strange feeling, I feel when I get a statement of love from my first girlfriend. Eid like this too, I must avoid so that my heart is not exhausted.

"Sister!" I pushed him away. I try so hard to control my heartbeat to slow down. But it does take a long time. It could be because I never exercise to control emotions again and do not take drugs to regulate heart rhythm.

"Debi, is anyone sick? Do you feel unwell? We're going to the ER now?" Satya panicked. He clasped my arm tightly.

My eyes glanced at Satya's hand. Hands as warm as Mom's. I didn't know I could meet Satya so soon.

"Debis? Debi's? Can you hear me?"

I raised my face. "Sister, do I look pale?"

Satya examined my face. "No" he answered.

"How's my skin color now?" I want to make sure that's right, I'm fine.

"Lo's face is a little red. Lo fever?" Satya spontaneously put her hand on my forehead.

I did not answer, but looked at Satya, as if challenging my own heart. A few seconds passed, my heart was still beating fast.

But, I'm fine. I put my hand on my left chest, feeling how fast my heart was working. "Sister... I didn't faint" I was amazed.

"meaning?"

"My heart, if you work this fast, it will usually impact my consciousness," I explained in a soft voice. "But I'm conscious." I raised my hand, looking at the bright red color on the palm. "The color of my hands... Never been this beautiful."

"Gue was happy to see this change," Satya stroked my head. I no longer tried to regulate my heart rhythm, but let it beat as fast as a train. I enjoy the softness that Satya emits. "Gue kept waiting for your time in the operating room. Until transferred to the ICU, I don't want to get out of my sight."

So, one of the people I was telling you about the other day, was Satya? How worried is he?

"Rena, where, sister?" I remembered my purpose in meeting Satya. "Gue didn't get much info about Rena from the hospital. I just know that Rena's not here anymore. He recovered faster than me?"

Satya threw away the face. "He's all right."

"You guys made up?" I was direct.

Satya raised her head again. "Wrong accident three months ago, you wanna hear the story?"

So happy to meet Satya, I forgot an important incident a few months ago. Right, that should be the first thing I ask the truth. Instead of asking if Satya was with Rena or not.

Satya guided me to sit on the park bench. He sighed many times before starting to tell a story. "Finished the basketball game, I went home with Rena. I had a feeling that he would say he liked me. Along the way, I figured out a way to turn it down without making Rena hurt."

I swallowed with great difficulty. So, Satya rejected Rena?

"When I got in front of my alley, Rena shot me. He wants me to be his girlfriend. But, I said that I like you and can't accept him. I asked him to stop hoping, because there would be no chance," Satya's hand was raised, covering her face. "Due... Run. He didn't look left and crossed right away. Then, the truck" Satya's voice choked. He was unable to finish his sentence.

I bowed, looking at my hands that were tied to each other on my lap.

"Gue's sorry, Debi... I should have gone after Rena at that time. I should be able to speak properly, so Rena doesn't need to have such a terrible accident."

When I looked around, I could see tears had melted from Satya's eyes. That regret, will certainly imprint on Satya for the rest of his life.

"The last sentence I heard from Rena was, she wanted to apologize for being mad at you."
