I and Rena sat together on the edge of the basketball court that afternoon. We didn't really enjoy Satya's basketball practice. Rena was busy watching the students who spread charm to attract Satya. Meanwhile, I was busy with the plan that Gilang proposed yesterday.
Obviously, I still can't believe the assumptions Gilang makes about Satya's feelings. Rena likes Satya, and it is not good to make jokes that Satya even put his heart to me.
"I swear, man! Those girls make my mood ugly!"
I raised my head, looking in the direction that Rena meant. If only Rena could stand there and cheer for Satya, surely the girls would not exist. But Rena's sitting here for my nemenin.
"It's a good thing Satya's not interested in them."
My view turned to Satya. This time, I tried to focus more. Satya played well, as always. He is the highest player in the basketball club. Satya could easily score numbers. His ability is incredible.
Satya glanced at us. I turned to Rena who was busy clapping as Satya's ball went into the ring.
The next second, Satya glanced back at us. I don't want to assume. Who knows Satya does want to show off his good game, or just pay attention to whether I am fine and not as hympt as the other day.
Same with the next minute and the next minute. Satya glanced over to where we sat many times. Even so, it shows nothing. There's Rena next to me. Satya's glance doesn't mean anything.
Match over. I followed Rena who approached Satya on the sidelines. "Mainly Satya's sister is great!" praise Rena. Now he's smart about the pleasantries.
"Cantin first, yuk!" bring Satya. He grabbed his school backpack and shirt, then gestured for us to follow him.
I deliberately gave some distance and walked behind Satya and Rena. They seemed to be talking about the exercise. I am sure, Rena learned a lot about basketball, because she came to know the terms in basketball games. Even he also knew Satya's position in the match. I only know that Satya is good at getting into the ball.
My view and Satya met a glimpse as I looked up. Not so obvious, but I know Satya glanced back a moment ago.
"This time, I'll deal! I was so excited to see Kak Satya's training earlier!" exciting Rena girang. "Debi, eat soto as usual, right?"
"Yes. As always."
"Satya's sister?"
Satya thought for a moment. "Soto too, huh! But spicy, yes!"
"Ready!" answer Rena. He immediately slid towards the stand that sold soto.
"Deb," Satya's hand reached out to reveal the hair covering my cheek. Gently, he slipped my hair behind my ears. "What's wrong? You're not feeling well?"
My eyes are fixed on him. I was shocked because he suddenly did that. "It's okay" I replied slowly.
"Where? Did you like my training match? No comments."
"Satya's brother played well," I lied, but I did not pay attention to how the game went.
"Deb, if you don't mind, I want something. It's personal."
I swallowed with great difficulty. "What?"
Satya seemed to weigh for a moment, perhaps choosing the right words to say. "Your relationship is equal, how?"
"Alright," I said straightforwardly. I don't really understand Gilang's way of thinking, but I don't think he's a bad person or has hidden intentions.
"Not that, Deb."
"Then?"
"Deliver.. Is he special to you?"
"He's a book writer and I'm a fan of his."
Satya was silent for a moment. Our eyes still meet each other. "That's all?"
"What's wrong?" Rena's back. "What's that about?"
"We don't know either. Suddenly it was like that" I answered honestly. I think Satya and I were too focused on our conversation, until they didn't realize the crowd was coming.
"Care? It's Gilang, you know!" Rena pointed towards the crowd.
I squinted my eyes to get more focused vision. There was one dark black-haired head poking out from the middle of the crowd. I could immediately recognize that it was Gilang, as soon as I saw his pale forehead.
"Whether did he come here?" satya's voice sounded colder than usual when she saw Gilang.
I got up from my seat and approached Gilang. It's hard to break through the huge crowd of students, for some reason. The time of day is not as good as this when Gilang to my school.
Waw! I myself was shocked to see the figure of Gilang now. There are plenty of women who swarm. Gilang cut his hair neatly, revealing the shape of his perfect oval face. Gilang eyes are very beautiful in the sun, blue as blue as the deep sea. The beauty is always covered with her hair that is shabby, or is it me who is not too attentive?
"Hi, Debi!" Gilang waved cheerfully as he realized my presence. I noticed his appearance was similar to that of a Korean boyband. "I'm sorry I'm late to pick you up. There was an impromptu job."
"Lo is so flashy!"
Gilang circulated his innocent smile which had always been the ultimate weapon. "Excuse me, yes, the girl I met."
I snorted amusedly hearing him speak like that. I hurriedly pulled my hand away from the crowd. "They thought it was a stray boyband!"
"But, I'm a good-looking guy, right?"
My eyebrows shot up, then I laughed so hard hearing how confidently he judged himself. "Lo want to eat?"
"No. I'm having lunch." I stopped when I was sitting on my bench.
"Sit, Gil!"
"Gue wants to sit next to you."
"Sit down everywhere, same!" Satya nyoloth.
"Why did you sewot?" ask Gilang with his slanted smile. "Whatever I want to sit where."
Rena cleared her throat, attracting our attention. "Gue used to sit next to Debi" Rena said.
"If Debi doesn't mind, do you want to move?" Gilang does not give up.
All attention is now on me. "God! I don't care who's sitting next to me! I just want to eat!" answer me annoyed. The problem of seating, why is it so complicated?
Gilang smiled knot at Rena. Rena relented and sat down next to Satya. Gilang sat with his chest puffed up, as if satisfied with his victory.
Our order came a few moments later. A bowl of warm soto that aroma makes anyone will not refuse to enjoy it.
Gilang grabbed the spoon and fork that was on the table. At first I wanted to protest that he would dare to take my food. But, it turns out that he wiped the cutlery with tissue. "Now!"
I received the spoon and fork that had been wiped by Gilang. "Make it."
"Game!" rena quipped with a laugh. "Lo's here to pick Debi up?"
"Must, dong! From now on, I'll take Debi anywhere."
"Where is it?"
Gilang nodded firmly. "Gue has to take care of my girlfriend, right?"
