58. Secret

Kiki bribed her food once more and chewed it lazily. It is clear that he has no appetite, even though Valeda has ordered the most luxurious food that must be liked by children.

Kiki and Nana this time nodded together. "A lot of people want to take our orphanage. So, Brother Dan often advises not to go alone and as much as possible not to get out of the orphanage" explained Nana. "Say, there's a lot of bad people out there."

Kiki nodded in agreement with Nana's words, confirming everything Nana said.

Valeda looked back. Daniel walked towards her. Daniel's face was pale and sweet. The smile that had been still on his lips, was now completely gone.

Valeda raised a hand to tell her whereabouts and Daniel's two younger brothers. Daniel noticed it, then approached Valeda.

"Why isn't the meal finished?" Daniel. He knows the answer. But, it didn't taste good if he came in silence.

"I'm not hungry anymore, sister," replied Kiki.

"Nana too..." Nana replied weakly.

Daniel sat down next to Valeda. "At least, you should eat, Val," Daniel said.

Valeda lowered his head, looking at his fried rice which he had only eaten two mouthfuls of. "Oh, yes, I've ordered for Orange as well," Valeda changed the topic. "Is the inside business done?"

Daniel nodded. "Everything goes easy. It must be thanks to you, Val," said Daniel. "Thank you so much for helping me."

"You don't have to say it many times, Dan," Valeda rubbed Daniel's arm. Valeda could see there were tears at the end of Daniel's eyes.

Daniel smiled wryly. "Well, I have to take my sisters home first" Daniel continued.

"I've asked Kris to bring the office driver to drive them home. Kris is also still in the orphanage for your sisters. You can accompany Cahya and Wahyu in the hospital. I've prepared a special room for you with Cahya. So, you can keep an eye on your sister." Valeda gulped his orange ice a lot. "Urusan orphanage, Kris will help you for now. Business affairs, Celine will back up everything."

Daniel reached out and hugged Valeda tightly. "What can I do to return your favor?" whispered in between her cries.

Valeda wanted to answer so that Daniel wouldn't keep any secrets from her anymore. Valeda was quite troubled if he didn't know anything about Daniel. But, that's not what he said. Taking a chance in narrowness is not something to be proud of. He also did not want to make Daniel become a person who was reluctant to him.

'OK, I have to make sure Daniel trusts me and a lot hangs in my hands, so that in the end he will be by my side, ' Valeda's inner self.

Daniel cried silently in Valeda's arms. He doesn't seem to care about the contract they have agreed. Daniel needs a place to lean and the adults around him right now are just Valeda.

Valeda was trying to get his mind back clear and he could think straight. There were more important things for him to review, rather than his mixed feelings.

'If my guess is correct, Daniel's brothers had a collision not by accident. There's someone who's after them to hurt Daniel, ' Valeda thought.
