"Today's second date, you can't make trouble!" exclaim Mrs Emely. He threw himself onto the sofa while twitching his forehead. The mainstay soft sofa, he often used to calm himself. But, it doesn't seem to be working this time.
Mrs Emely was so shocked by her friend's report that Leo had been angered by Valeda. In fact, his friend did not forget to report Valeda's delay in coming to the restaurant where they promised.
"Ma, our son is not completely wrong," Mr. Suherman sat down next to his wife while putting down a cup of warm herbal tea. "Calm down, drink the tea first."
"Right, Ma," Valeda defended himself. "Leo was critical of Val from the first moment we met. Even he yelled rudely at Val." Valeda reported Leo back.
"Not to be discussed anymore" Mr. Suherman helped Mrs Emely knead her forehead. "You need to relax, honey. We're going to travel abroad. I don't want to go alone without you."
"But I can't leave Valeda under these circumstances, Pa," replied Mrs Emely.
"Well, Val why, Ma?" Valeda did not understand Mrs Emely's conversation.
"You should have a boyfriend. There's gotta be someone to take care of you, Val. Mama will be quiet while going abroad."
Valeda shakes his head. "Mama is too worried" replied Valeda. "Mama's gone for just a week. Don't raise the problem!"
"Tonight, you'll have to meet the second candidate!" break up Mrs Emely.
Valeda took a long breath. Mr. Suherman blinked his eyes, asking Valeda to agree on what Mrs Emely wanted.
"Yes," Valeda replied briefly, choosing not to argue.
"After this, you still have work?" ask Mr. Suherman.
Valeda glanced at his watch. "There's still some business." Valeda grabbed his tea and gulped it down. "Papa, Mama, Val go first. Later that night Val sent a message if he wanted to sleep," said Valeda while salim to his parents.
"Be careful on the road, son," said Mr. Suherman.
"Tonight, let's not be late again" Mrs Emely said as Valeda salim.
"Yes, Ma," Valeda crossed his fingers behind his back.
Valeda still felt lucky that Madame Emely was not so angry with her. Valeda has a defense due to Leo's domineering and temperamental nature. High blood will often recur if you have a daughter-in-law like Leo.
Kris, who was waiting for Valeda in front of the house, opened the car door when Valeda emerged from behind Mr. Suherman's door. "Go home now, Nope?" kris asked as Valeda got into the car.
"We stopped by Celine's chicken restaurant first. I want to buy you good food for my sick employee's son" Valeda replied.
Kris nodded and closed the car door. Then he ran small towards the steering door. Kris is very good at driving cars. Valeda was comfortable, even sleepy so much Kris. "Miss already has the address of the employee who wants to be sent food?"
Valeda checked his smartphone for a moment. "Celine gave me the address this afternoon" Valeda replied. "Ah, here it is! I'll send it to you. You take care of it as usual, okay?"
"Ready, Non!" kris replied excitedly. He glanced at Valeda who was sitting in the back before opening his mouth. Kris must make sure that his boss is not in a bad mood.
Valeda sat quietly while playing his smartphone. I don't know what game he tried this time to fill his free time.
"Miss, Mrs Emely ordered me to drive Miss to the restaurant tonight" Kris said slowly.
Valeda raised his head quickly, shocked by Kris' words. "What's? Why?"
"Mmm, maybe make sure that you won't be late again" Kris reasoned.
"Then why do you agree, Kris? You work for me, not for my mother" protested Valeda annoyed. "You should be on my side, not spying for my mother!"
"That's not it, Miss," Kris argued. "I just want the best for everything. I'll just make sure Miss Val arrives at the restaurant on time. How long Miss is facing off with Miss Emely's nominee, it's up to Miss."
"Hmmm, you're getting smart talking, huh?" sindir Valeda's.
"Kris, you have an idea, how do you get away from the matchmaking you arranged?" ask Valeda.
"One, prove to Madame Emely that all her options are weightless. Two, get a girlfriend. Three, hire someone to pretend to be Miss's boyfriend" Kris replied smoothly.
Valeda heard Kris' honest answer. Kris' honesty must be thumbs up. Kris rarely lied even when she had to lie. "You mostly watch soap operas, Kris!" ejek Valeda's.
Kris laughed softly. He was relieved that this superior of his had come back cheerful with just such an answer. Kris hopes wholeheartedly, so that later at dinner, his young lady will have no trouble escaping.
Finally, the dinner time that Valeda had avoided, arrived. The night was very bright, in contrast to Valeda's overcast mood. Even the heavy rain.
Kris actually escorted Valeda to the appointment spot on time. Even ten minutes early. Valeda walked into the restaurant in a dragged step.
"Good night, Miss! Thank you for coming to our restaurant" said a waiter at the reception desk. This time too, Mrs Emely chose an amazingly luxurious five-star restaurant. And this time too, Valeda felt the beauty of the restaurant did not make him happy to eat there.
"I've ordered a table, on behalf of Valeda," Valeda replied without making small talk.
The waiter checked the guest book in front of him. "Please pass by here, Miss," he said after finding Valeda's name in the guest book.
Valeda followed the waiter in front of him in silence. He looked blankly towards the front, until finally arriving at the table that Madame Emely had ordered.
The waiter pulled a chair for Valeda. Valeda only realized that the second candidate from her mother had not come at this time. He sat there alone.
"Are you waiting for someone?" ask the waiter.
Valeda weighed in for a moment, whether she would order a meal now, or wait for Madam Emely's friend's child to come first. "I'll order later. Please bring this restaurant's recommended wine."
"Okay" the waiter replied, then resigned.
'Hmm, it was me who came early, ' thought Valeda, and he decided to wait for a moment.
Ten minutes passed. Valeda had almost finished his first glass of wine. He waved at the waiter to order something to eat.
"Can I help you?" ask the waiter with Lina's name.
"Please ask him," Valeda's pinta.
A menu book was immediately written in front of Valeda. Valeda briefly threw a glance towards the entrance, checking if there was a sign of arrival from the second candidate of Mrs Emely's choice. But nil.
Valeda decided to order food first. He did not really care about the response of the men who would come later.
At first, Valeda thought. Apparently, until the food ordered by Valeda came, the son of Mrs Emely's friend did not come.
'Good!' thought Valeda pleased. He's been giving up since the first blind date. The second one was going easy.
Valeda enjoyed his dinner quietly. He was even swept up in classical music by a pianist in the middle of the restaurant. The wine he ordered became many times delicious every time Valeda drank it.
"I'm sorry?"
One word and everything changes. Valeda looked up, seeing a tall man bowing beside him. "Yes?"
"Miss Valeda?" ask the man.
"Yes," answered Valeda briefly. He already had a feeling that the man was the second candidate.
"I'm sorry I'm late" said the man, thrusting a box of gold ribbons onto the table. "This is my apology."
