31. Dress Up

"Well, whoa, whoa... Beautiful afternoon view, huh?"

The heavy and hoarse voice of a man made Daniel look back. He knew that voice, having met it before. Daniel stood up and slightly bowed to greet the person who had just spoken. "Good afternoon, Mr. Suherman," said Daniel.

"Sore," replied Mr. Suherman. "What's this?" he asked, it was strange to see Valeda sitting quietly like that. He knows his son. Valeda can't sit back at this hour. Valeda is very active. If there are free hours, he will choose to go for exercise instead of sitting daydreaming.

"Valeda lamented, Sir," Daniel replied with a mischievous smile.

"I'm not snooping!" valeda exclaimed with his red face. "Pa, don't listen to him!"

Mr. Suherman laughed softly at the protesting Valeda. She didn't expect her son to turn sweet like that. "You guys, you've only known but felt you've been together for years" said Mr. Suherman.

"Do we look appropriate?" timpal Daniel's.

Mr. Suherman rubbed his chin. "If I say yes, my wife will kill me" he replied.

Daniel laughed at it. "We will try our best, sir."

Mr. Suherman sat next to Valeda. "Are you guys thinking about dinner tonight?" ask Mr. Suherman.

Valeda did not answer. He chose to be quiet. He still could not guess his father. The less he spoke, the safer it would be for them.

"Well, our family is a distinguished family" Mr. Suherman began. He threw his eyes far ahead. "Obviously your mother was worried about this. The fact that you love an ordinary man greatly surprises your mother. No offense, Daniel," Mr. Suherman added.

Daniel shakes. "I cannot be offended, because you are telling me the truth" Daniel replied. "If I have a daughter who loves a man with a different social status, of course I will also be worried. In fact, most likely I will do the same thing that Madam Emely did."

Mr. Suherman looked at Daniel for a long time. Daniel responded boldly to that view. Daniel has to convince Valeda's father that he really loves his son. "On the show tonight, there will be many family members who come. There will be a very good party. Daniel, as a new member, you will be the center of attention. I can't give you any grilles for tonight. But, prepare!" Mr. Suherman stood up from his seat and patted Daniel on the shoulder.

"Papa-" interrupted Valeda before her father left. "Pope can trust Val."

Mr. Suherman smiled widely. "When don't you believe me, son?" abugn. "You are Papa's favorite girl and forever will be."

There is a sense of guilt that arises in Valeda for lying to Mr. Suherman. However, he swallowed the guilt deeply and rounded his resolve to continue pretending.

"All right, I'm putting Valeda on you, Dan. Come tonight" said Mr. Suherman.

"Okay, sir" replied Daniel. Daniel and Valeda remain silent until Mr. Suherman disappears from their sight. Daniel sat down where Mr. Suherman sat a moment ago. "Still craving?" ask Daniel.

Valeda spontaneously punched Daniel's arm. "I'm not cranky!" expostulation.

"Continue?"

Valeda could not answer. He could not tell Daniel the truth that he had been amazed by Daniel's sweet smile. "I'm just tired" replied Valeda.

Daniel chuckled. He grabbed a pinch of Valeda's hair and played it between his fingers. "In front of me, you're bad at lying."

Valeda brushed Daniel's hand. "Stop! Don't play games anymore! Let's get back in the car!" Valeda woke up and left Daniel. Daniel followed him, this time in silence.

Valeda's car drove across a crowded street that afternoon. They don't have much time until the Valeda family's dinner. They only stopped by about ten minutes to Valeda's grocery store to buy some kind of pastry as dessert later. After confirming that his order would be delivered on time, Valeda dragged Daniel to his apartment.

"No. This is the second time" Daniel replied.

"Well, really?" Chris smiled a little. "Miss Val doesn't let just anyone into her apartment" Kris continued.

"Kris, don't talk weird! Quickly get Daniel ready for me!" valeda from within.

Kris threw a meaningful smile at Daniel. He did not open his mouth again until they arrived at the guest room. "Please clean yourself up here. I'll wait outside" Kris said.

While Daniel is busy cleaning himself up, Valeda is also busy with himself. He made sure that every inch of his body was clean and emitting light. He never enjoyed his bath time like this. Not because he was going to attend his family's dinner, but more because there was a man who would accompany him. Valeda feels like a woman.

Valeda, hearing low laughter from the direction of her living room, immediately dried her wet hair.

"It looks like Daniel's done, '" Valeda murmured.

In thirty minutes, she was done with her hair. She opened her pride make up box and began to polish her face with this-it. She wanted to look beautiful and charming in front of Daniel.

"God! What the fuck is my mind?" Valeda put the brush on the table. "Why do I want to look beautiful in front of Daniel?" ask him to yourself. Valeda shook his head violently, then sighed. "I've already worn this one. Yeah, I'm just getting decorated!" disconnections.

It took a long time for Valeda to finish his preparations. She deliberately chose the type of mermaid dress with off shoulders to accentuate her beautiful body shape. Confidently, Valeda walked out of his room.

Valeda could not deny the admirable look Daniel had aimed at him. A smile was on her lips that she had applied pink lipstick on.

"Why haven't you changed your clothes?" ask Valeda.

Daniel was still wearing his bath kimono. In fact, his long bangs were still slightly wet. "I'm still waiting for the suit" replied Daniel.

The three of them turned towards the door. "The package!" kris said. He walked towards the entrance.

Valeda went to his living room couch and sat down next to Daniel. "I can't wait to see you dress up" Valeda opened the conversation.

"I will be a handsome man because I have to accompany an amazing woman like you" replied Daniel.

Valeda turned the other way, not wanting Daniel to notice that his face was red. "Hurry up and put your suit on!" valeda tried to sound unconcerned with Daniel's views.

Daniel said what Valeda said, because they did not have much time left before the dinner began.

Kris, who was used to wearing a suit and dressing up, helped Daniel deftly. Unlike Valeda who took a long time, Daniel finished in fifteen minutes.

"Val, how?" ask Daniel when he comes out of the guest room.

Valeda gaping not believe the drastic changes that occur in Daniel, but he just change his suit and hair neatly combed back.

"Your expression has explained everything" Daniel answered his own question.
