80. Who's That Girl

A new step from the doctor's office. Only then did his heart feel relieved because his grandmother's condition improved but his anger had been made to peak in just a matter of minutes. Galih gets a message from her cousin saying Kirana is crying because of her Mama. 

Gina did not say where exactly Kirana was going but Galih would bet that Kirana would not go far from the hospital area. He's blind here. Yesterday he told me when asked by the taxi driver he did not answer because he did not understand the language.

Galih eventually finds Kirana sitting near a fountain located in the front yard. He looked glum just sitting alone and just playing around with his feet. The more Galih approached, the more he could see Kirana's sad face.

“Geulis, why are you here?” asked Galih slowly for fear of surprising Kirana, and Kirana was still shocked because Kirana was basically daydreaming.

“Wind,” says Kirana.

“You tea deliberately seek the wind to catch a cold huh?” ask Galih again.

“No,” replied Kirana.

“This is your back until wet gini. After the shower, right. Neng, if you want to cry, don't be here. The noise here is noisy water but it's rame, people still know that you cry,” said Galih.

“Who wants to cry a, no kok,” said Kirana trying half to die hiding her crying.

“As you are deh...,” says Galih.

Galih pulls Kirana's hand and takes her to the basement. He asks Kirana to get into the car and does not give any chance to Kirana to refuse. It was common for Galih to take her somewhere whenever Kirana was feeling sad. After all, he had believed that Galih would not do him any harm, which was why Kirana was neither afraid nor rejected. 

“Well if you want to cry here now you can,” said Galih shortly after the car they were riding out of the hospital area. Kirana was silent.

“You're not papa, are you?” ask Galih.

“Sick a,” finally Kirana expressed her feelings.

“I do not know for sure what you are in the same but considering the personality of aunty you must be called a strange-freak.” said Galih. 

“Tante was coming with a girl right?” tanya Galih makes Kirana dumbfounded.

“Kok aa know? Aa know?” ask Kirana.

“Lumayan. Her name is Tia, a friend at school. He said he used to be very similar. His mother was a lecturer, and his father was a Camat. He was an only child and was very pampered by his parents. Kalem the person, not neko-neko as well. But I don't like it,” said Galih.

“Why a?”

“Bosenin,” Reply Galih.

“Ha?”

She should not have discussed Bang Raihan in the presence of Galih who was - hopefully - going to be her husband.

“But what aa no heartache? Sorry Kirana shouldn't be,” Kirana said.

“No dear papa, aa give permission really. Not very often. Aa understand, forgetting it is a very difficult thing let alone forgetting loved ones, almost impossible. Don't feel guilty neng,” said Galih.

“Sorry yes a,” said Kirana realized if she was wrong.

“Ok, back to topic. The point is aa choose you, so no matter what is said to be the same family, aa will still choose you. Who will have our marriage both of us. They have been able to live without their help. Aa would be happier if aa joined your family than you aa forced to be in the same place with aa family. Your family is warm Ki, aa like and aa really want to be part of it,” said Galih.

“Aa when to go home? I suddenly became impatient for aa lamar,” Kirana said.

“Ih what is suddenly 5:2 no yes. 5:1 the real,” protest Kirana because she understands what is meant by Galih. It's about the food treat they talked about on the beach at the time.  

“Not aware of yourself huh, aa said what in email? Wait aa come home, even you suck here. That if not insist on the name of what geulis,” gemas Galih.

“Ya out of aa makes me shocked. Anyway if I don't come here any more when I meet the same grandmother of other families as well. Yes, we married but I do not know the same family at all,” Kirana does not want to lose.

“Yes you know Mr. Aji same as Bu Ratna, Aksara, Kaori, Nusantara, already a lot of it.”

“Aa is more like a member of the Aditama family than a family member here,” said Galih. Kirana was only a manyun because she ended up losing the debate with Galih.

“So laper,” replied Kirana though still with a sullen face.

“In front there is chicken porridge. You have to try the chicken porridge Bandung. Beuh it feels like there are no two,” said Galih.

During breakfast Kirana's mood improved. He had forgotten his heartache because of Gina's mother earlier. Besides that Kirana also felt strengthened. Galih also does not demand him to be close to his family even though Kirana has been looking for a way to make the Galih family willing to accept it even with the shortcomings that he has.

Because he had already intended, he finally asked Galih for help to take him to a place where he could buy parcels. He wants to get to know better Gina's parents who are currently accompanying grandmother in the hospital as well as Tia who is said to be the candidate chosen by them for Galih.

Kirana bought some food that was Mama's favorite. Galih even offers Kirana the goods when she wants to cook because even though Mama Gina is Sundanese but she likes the taste of Jogja spicy sweet.
