6. Keenan's Return

Since the opening of the cafe a few days ago, Kirana made no free time at all. He even forgot that today Keenan will land from Bali. Kirana was busy standing behind the bar table completing a take away order from a customer. Finished making the order, he walked over to the cashier and served the customer who would pay. The point was that Kirana was busy.

“Congratulations...,” Kirana was speechless to see who came. He was clearly shocked to see Keenan standing before him still carrying his backpack.

“Keenan?!”

“It was so busy that I forgot to go home today?” ask Keenan who started walking behind the bar table.

Ningrum and Lucy were also shocked to see who was helping Kirana's work, but they didn't have time to greet her. In fact Keenan was now grabbing the apron and helping Ningrum work to hand over the customer orders that were already waiting at their respective desks.

At exactly 10 o'clock the cafe closed. Kirana, Lucy, Ningrum, Dimas, with Keenan rushing to clean up the mess. Dimas who was in charge of washing all the dishes and glasses was next to him Ningrum washing other cookware. Lucy was checking the raw materials inventory and noting anything she had to buy for preparation tomorrow.

Kirana was cleaning the coffee machine and around the bar table while Keenan was cleaning the table and mopping the floor. Finished with her work, Kirana stepped out, erased the writing on the black board at the door and then brought it inside.

Before going home they first conduct a meeting for evaluation today and determine what special menu for tomorrow. Not long after the meeting ended, an invitation for Lucy came. Ningrum and Dimas had also returned home as well as Keenan and Kirana who were picked up by Father.

“Ki, has arrived,” said Mother to Kirana who turned out to be asleep leaning against each other with Keenan.

Mama and Papa came out of the house to welcome the arrival of the two candidates. Although they did not have time to stop by because Keenan must also be tired, so they only had time to say hello for a while and then saying goodbye.

“Oiya Mbak, tomorrow so right?” ask Mama.

“So dong, Ma'am just wait at home. Kang ojekku will be home so tomorrow let me just shop for lack,” said Mother Kirana know the agreement to cook with Mama tomorrow.

Kirana yawned again and wrapped her hands together on Papa's arm. Keenan is also half asleep even though he is still standing upright. When Mama and Mommy cook in the kitchen, Kirana and Keenan just sit back in front of the tv watching a movie. They were watching a horror movie, but suddenly Keenan replaced it with a zombie movie when Kirana was going to the bathroom.

Keenan knows very well that his girlfriend is not afraid of ghosts, but he can shudder in fear when it comes to zombies. This he knew when the school festival used to be Kirana had run away in a storm because one of his cosplay friends became a zombie.

Kirana knew the movie had changed, but she was not aware of what movie was playing because she was still engrossed in the phone. He was asking Lucy and Ningrum who were shopping. Kirana also makes sure that the coffee beans she ordered have come along with several other needs.

Keenan was still with his innocence coolly watching the movie regardless of Kirana next to him. Keenan was just snacking on potato chips that Kirana had bought. Finished ensuring the needs of the cafe, Kirana put the phone and also grabbed the potato chips eaten by Keenan.

Luckily Kirana, when she was just focusing her gaze right when the face of a zombie appeared filled the screen. Kirana immediately shouted and curled up next to Keenan. Both of his legs rose to the top of the sofa, his head was drowned behind Keenan's body while his hands tightly gripped Keenan's arms while crying. Hearing the sound of crying it was clear Keenan instantly turned off the tv. Mother and Mama who were shocked to run closer to make sure what happened.

“Huaa..., Keenan is so mean!!!” kirana shouted while beating Keenan with a sofa pillow.

“Ampun ay, astagfirullah sorry Kirana hopefully, it's not there already I matiin. Kirana.”

“No matter....!!!” now Kirana not only beat Keenan with a pillow but she grabbed Keenan's body and shook it, making Keenan even less wrinkled.

“Kirana pain aww…! Kirana! Already! I could die if I was rich gini way, baby!” Keenan. Kirana didn't listen to him.

Suddenly Kirana stopped, then cornered herself in the corner of the sofa with both legs bent and hands tightly hugging the sofa cushion she had used to beat Keenan. Keenan first regained his consciousness after being shaken by Kirana earlier then he approached Kirana and extended his hand apologizing.

“Afriction not?” ask Keenan.

Kirana just looked at Keenan's hand that was outstretched at her. He was still as unwilling and had trouble regulating his breathing because of a stuffy nose due to crying. Keenan tried to win Kirana's attention, with the same hand he now stroked Kirana's head which remained still in her seat.

“Sorry Ki, I didn't know that the jumpscare was that bad,” Keenan said.

“Aw is sick Nda, why so Keenan is also the one who got surprised," said Keenan who was pinched by his mother.

“Ya already knows her boyfriend is afraid of zombies kok you nyetelnya it. You know what Kee,” said Mama this time.

“Kan kepo Ma, said good, new movie out. Keenan wanted to ask Kirana to sit down but do not watch but she already saw her jumpscare first,” said Keenan.

“That's where you two eat first and continue to be ready to leave already at what time,” said Mama.

Kirana immediately stepped inside her room, while Keenan headed to the sink to wash his hands. Kirana followed after changing her clothes and polishing her face with powder and nudes-colored lip cream. Kirana was widened to see the contents of the dining table. Kirana knows that Mother and Mama cook but do not expect that the cuisine will be this much.

“Mama intentions to learn to cook European cuisine why the hell Ma actually?” ask Kirana.

“Can't be?”

“Honestly, yesterday mbak said you want to learn to cook European cuisine because of Kirana's Papa who asked,” said Mother made Mama's cheeks flushed.

“Ahh pantesan. Basic newlyweds forget the age of Mama mah,” said Kirana mocked Mama.

After eating, Kirana and Keenan hurried off to the cafe. They were late because it was almost 1 o'clock. Lucy and Ningrum must have been at the cafe. Keenan left Mommy at Kirana's house, let Daddy pick up Mommy later he said. Because at this time he must be responsible after making this drop of Haruno Sakura angry so, rather than her dying of bogem he asked Mommy to give up.

“Sorry I'm late,” Kirana said to Lucy, Ningrum, and Dimas.

“Mana?” lucy asked directly.

“Lunch is, the late agreement must buyin lunch,” said Ningrum also menodong.

Kirana recalled, fortunately Mama and Mommy brought some for Kirana to bring so she survived the fine. Not funny just work 2 weeks, but the salary has been cut. Not cool.

“This is Mother's cooking for sure,” said Ningrum.

Lucy, Ningrum, Dimas, and Kirana immediately took care of it. The three continued eating in the kitchen while Kirana headed to the bar table preparing her arena. He put the new coffee beans into the grinding machine and then prepared the coffee machine. Kirana did not forget to wipe the latte glasses and check whether the ingredients are ready all including ice, milk, syrup, soda and so on. Lucy, who finished her lunch, puts the macaron and cookies in the window and finally checks if the ice cream is ready.

“Clear. How you guys?” ask Kirana to the others.

“Table clear,” Reply Keenan.

“Kitchen ready for combat.”

“And from today you are not alone Ki, jeng jeng.., finally my barista certificate so. So.., Kirana will not work alone. I'll help you at the bar so you can focus more on the cashier, ok?” lucy said as she blinked one eye at Kirana.

“Good. Yuk here get together...,” they tos first while calling for jargon, just turned the board “closed” into “open”. Keenan also brought out a blackboard containing today's menu recommendations that was beautifully written by Ningrum.
